HELP!!!!...please help me...ipod not working

my uncle bought me an ipod as a gift for me couple of months ago..and for about 5 months, i was able to upadte songs into my ipod using the MAC OSX...but now, i got a new labtop and has windows XP, i installed the CD and downloaded itunes 7.01..
then when i connect my ipod with the USB, it reads the following:
DO NOT DISCONNECT
and my computer cannot read the ipod...i always have to reset it to listen to my songs, but i cannot update new songs..

One thing to note is that you can format the iPod as FAT32 (Windows format) and it "may" work on your Mac. So one thing you might try is plug it into the Windows machine and follow the directions here...

Now that it is reformatted for Windows, go into the preferences and click on the iPod and click the box to "Enable Disk Mode". Now, take it and plug it into the Mac.
It hopefully will show up on your Mac's desktop as a disk drive. You can grab your iTunes folder and drag it into the iPod to copy everything over onto the iPod's hard drive. Eject, move it back to the Laptop, open the iPod as a disk drive, and copy the iTunes folder onto your Laptop. You should now be able to add all your stuff to the iTunes library on that computer.
Then delete that folder out of the iPod to free up room and then sync the iPod to iTunes on the laptop.

Mine of course if fine but hers seems to just turn on and then the green light stays on and won't go off. I think I have tried to reset it but it does nothing. The computer recognizes and downloads songs onto the ipod but will just not unfreeze off of the freaking green light. If you know the answer please tell me!

Sorry, I don't have a solution, but I have the same problem. I have songs downloaded onto itunes and it plays, and it shows I have songs on my ipod, but when I take my ipod off the computer and turn it on nothing happens. All I see is the green light. It's so weird because it worked before I deleted all my old songs and put new ones on it, and now it doesn't. I think my problem is that I should buy songs from the itunes store instead of downloading them off of mp3 sites, I don't know what to say about yours...Does my problem sound like yours??? Sorry if I couldn't help.

HELP! IPOD NOT WORKING!

I started installing a free app from my app store when my wireless went. I took my ipod closer, in fact right in front, to the hub where the wifi comes from and it started looking for a wireless, but kept looking and looking as if the ipod had frozen like that. I turned it off to see if it would help and then turned it back on again. The ipod then asked to be plugged into iTunes even though the battery was half full. Note: battery life lasting only hours when ipod on standby. I plugged it in and it took a couple of attempts for iTunes to find it, and when it did it found the ipod as "new hardware" although it was the same ipod, same laptop, same itunes. I finally got back onto my ipod but the wifi in settings was grey and said "no wifi". I turned it back off to see if that would help again but when I turned it back on it again asked for itunes and is now staying like this even though it is plugged into itunes. Itunes has not found the ipod this time. Ipod is iPod Touch 3rd Generation latest software and latest iTunes. Just tried plugging in itunes five minutes later but comes up, finds ipod and says "itunes could connect to the ipod because locked with a passcode. please unlock and enter passcode before connect with itunes" i have got a passcode but cannot unlock because of the screen continuously asking to be plugged into itunes. This screen will not go.
Help needed ASAP thanks.

Let me quickly add that my wireless has been struggling to connect to my hub for a while before and not lasting long and the ipod has been getting hotter quickly. Thanks again x

I have seen this before. You need to update the apps in your app store, and once they are updated, they will work again.

Help button is not working in Infoview

Hi All ,
I am working on BO XI R2 environment and help button is not working properly in my infoview.
I can get help files from Admin console but the same is not true with infoview.I got two different server installations, one of them its working fine but not for the other.
I checked for help files in IIS and they are there , even I verified web.config file as well for infoview and it also seems to be correct.
Please advice what could be the reason.

This kind of problem is known when webgui is being started from an IAC, e.g. HRWPC_FC_EXEC
You have to set parameter ~webgui_popups 1 in the service file of this IAC.

Ok.
It sounds as if something is keeping the key pressed, and that can be down to 2 reasons.
The phone has got wet and the internal key is corroded and fused, making a constant connection
or
Dust or dirt in under that key and are having the same affect
Either one of these reasons will need to be fixed at a Nokia Care Point as it will involve taking the phone apart.
You can find the nearest NCP to you at the Store Locator
Use the drop down list on the right to find your country.
If it is either of these faults, the NCP will probably charge you as it wont be a warranty fault, but a customer created fault.

My Help Viewer is not working for mac help

My Help viewer is not working for mac help. Everytime i choose mac help the window opens then closes. But when i open another help like safari help it opens and works fine. If i switch it back to mac help the window just closes and the application quits.
If you know how to fix please telll!

Help viewer does not work after update to 10.4.4

Since updating to 10.4.4 my Help viewer does not work, and all of the troubleshooting fixes suggested in other threads have not had any success in resolving this. I've noted that when I go to Users>Library>Documentation>Help there is no mac.help file - can someone tell me if that means that I've lost the file altogether and need to reinstall it? I get to the first screen of the viewer, but the links from there don't work. Thanks for any help that you can provide!

Thanks for your suggestion. I downloaded OnyX and ran the cleaning function. After restarting, I opened Help and once again the first screen appeared fine. But again most of the links did not work, though those under the "What's New" heading did work. I might add that I had previously tried a variety of suggestions posted in another thread, which included deleting from the caches folder in Home>Library several files such as com.apple.helpui and help.plist in the Preferences folder. (As noted in my previous post this evening, I also created another user but that also did not have any effect.) Any other ideas? Thanks

My P6 help link is not working in help menu.
P6 Library and Support link are working.
As suggested in another discussion i tried to update link in Admin>Application setting and restarted weblogic, But system is still taking some other link than i defined in application setting.
Can anybody help?

Solution:
In the P6 EPPM Admin application in the corresponding configuration, In P6 Help url we have modified the url from http://hostname:8203/p6help/help to http://hostname:8203/p6help/ and we restarted the P6 server in weblogic console.
Then everything fine now,

my little brother disconnected my ipod when it said do not disconect. then i reconnected it and itunes said corrupted ipod needs to restore. so i clicked the restore button and itunes froze on me. i then restarted my computer and now my computer doesnt reconize my ipod. i have tried everything that i can think of. someone please help!

*iPod service
*Clipbook
*Network DDE
*Network DDE DSDM
*Remote Procedure Call (RPC)
Try a different USB port after that. Make sure the iPod is on, and working too.

I am having terrible problems with my ipod mini... it was my sister's earlier and I got it because she gave up on it. I have done everything in my power.. tried the 5'R's, reinstalling itunes, and everything INCLUDING the factory reset, and the same thing is persisting... the exclamation mark with file, and it just says to visit http://www.apple/support/ipod, which i've gone to several times, read everything relavent, and still nothing helped. Please someone help, any thing could work so please, i'd really appreciate it, I look foreward to your opinion!!

Restore iPod not working...please help!

I plugged in my nano recently to be met with this message "iTunes has detected an iPod in recovery mode. You must restore it before it can be used with iTunes." So I clicked on the 'restore' button in iTunes. I go through the restore process and it tells me "Your iPod has been restored to factory settings, and is restarting. Please leave the iPod connected, and it will appear in the source list once it completes the restore process". The ipod never appears in the source list and iTunes gives me the original message that it has detected an iPod in recovery mode and that I need to restore it! What is going on???!?!??!

Help! buttons not working, scroll is not working, and I can't reset my iPod

I hope someone can help me.
The play/pause button is not working and on the odd occasion it does - it actually scrolls through the songs backwards.
The backward/forward buttons don't work either.. and when they do.. it's usually on go to backwards.
The Menu button works - fat lot that's helping me.
I can't reset my iPod either and I've tried the 5 steps in reset.
Sometimes I can scroll forwards if I press the select and forward button together. Click Wheel is also not working 99% of the time.. the odd time it did work.. it was really choppy.
Needless to say, I can't turn off my iPod since 99% of the time, it does not recognize the play/pause button.
Please help!!!
