Help! Strange things happen when I use Get Info command
Hi, I have updated iTunes for 7.7.1, and since then a strange thing happen: whenever I pick a Smart Playlist, select a song and use the Command-I, the Get Info screen appears for a few seconds, and then the "Cancel" button is highlighted, as if I had clicked on it, and the screen is closed.
Funny thing is that I am not clicking the "Cancel" button, but it happens automatically after a few seconds, and only with songs in the Smart Playlists. I haven't found a thing about it at the Discussion forums, can anyone help?
In iTunes, right click on the file and Get Info.
Make sure it is marked Remember Playback Position.

Strange thing happens when smplayer use xv-intel video overlay
i started to notice some strange thing happens when i turn on the desktop composting effect on kde,smplayer's video show blue colors,and smplayer menu has a thick blue line surrounding it.
whatever other windows i dragged over the smplayer show the same effect,which is very annoying. i figured it's something with the video output.
the default video output is xv-intel video overlay,so i changed it to xv,gl,etc,and things become normal,xv-intel textured video works fine,too.
of course if i turn off the compositing effect,everything will be ok.

The code for GET events is particularly important if you have defined parameters or selection criteria for the InfoSet. Strange things happen when charging...help
When I charge my 10 GB ipod(3G)(with an unofficial charger)from the socket in the wall something strange happens. At first everything is OK for maybe one minute and the charging icon is animating but then it locks up and stops animating and the whole iPod locks up. I have to disconnect it from the charger to make it work normally again. Does anybody know what to do? Is it charging even though the battery symbol stops animating and the ipod locks up? It seems to be loading a bit but not with full capacity.

Have you tried resetting your iPod? Or restoring it? That may fix whatever the problem is. I know I have had this problem before, but i'm afraid I don't remember how I solved it.

Strange things happen when printing
when I print I have what seems to be some random faded 'boxes' appear in the background. They seem to be related to elements which have a drop shadow or transparency applied to them.
I have changed 'All Spots to Process' in the ink manager as that fixed some transparency issues in the past but no dice with this problem. Any ideas?

Peter, I'll try your suggestions. As you see, everything looks fine on screen with the PDF. These little 'boxes' appear only when I print.

Ken, as you may remember from my previous posts, I'm new at this so forgive my lack of knowledge. Does 'banding in the gradient' mean you are seeing horizontal lines down the image? I don't get these on my prints but the text box holding the "Cello/Celli! A Celebration of the Cello" prints with the background of the box visible against the gradient behind it. I also get a similar effects below the blue box holding the 'time & place' info. both of these elements have a drop shadow applied.
BTW, my PDF does show faint lines oulining the 'CC' logo text boxes. These don't seem to print but I want to be sure. The logo was created by grouping two text boxes and applying a transarency to them. Hey, now that I look at my print problem it seems as if these 'logo' text boxes might also be having 'compatibility' issues with the backgroung gradient?

Strange thing happening when trying to override login page

I'm probably approaching this in the wrong way.
I'm trying to override and customize the login page, and eventually override and customize the welcome page.
I have tried to copy/paste /libs/cq/core/content/login to /apps/cq/core/content/login
Every time I get an error "Could not copy node. Received 404 not found"
If I try to save a newly created login node, I get a conflict error. "Could not save changes. Received 409 (Conflict) for saving changes in workspace crx.default./apps/cq/core/content
My thoughts behind taking this approach is that generally you can override the libs folder using the apps folder.

This is most common problem and will occure when you try to operate various operations between/among nodes without saving them properly. One scenario for example could be, if you move a node from one node to other node and again try to modify any of the node (mainly like move/delete/create) without saving it, it will give you exception because until you save the repository both the nodes where you did the operation will not have proper status in repository.
So advise would to check your operation and try to save and refresh the repository after performing the operation which require saving to nodes information.

Strange things happened when iTunes was updated...
okay.... so I finally decided to 1. update my ipod software itself, and 2. update itunes. So....all was well... and I plugged in my ipod nano, mainly for charging purposes... NOW...even though all I did was update my iTunes... It's telling me I have it in 2 different libraries and that's not allowed and I must erase it and synch it to this library. Why did it do this when I did what iTunes WANTED me to do? If I do what it says....what's going to happen? My library is nonexistent on iTunes now, and there'e clearly no way for me to erase it and have everything put back on there if it's not in iTunes at all... it will be erased right? How do I fix this problem?
Niel.....thats not what happened at all. There is nothing on another computer...all that happened was I updated it like it wanted me to, and now NOTHING shows up in iTunes and it wants me to erase my entire ipod and synch it up with the updated AND empty iTunes. There is nothing for me to put onto it...thats why there is a problem. iTunes was fine, and all that is new is it was updated and now it says it exists in more than one library...it doesn't...there is no other library. My ipod has music on it but iTunes won't do anything with it...

Strange thing happened when i sent applications to dock.
Normally when i send apps to the dock i get that Jennie effect as they go down, however yesterday i done something and they just dropped straight down and then a arrow pointing up and the next app loaded straight on top of it. Hard to explain they seemed to stack on top of each other.
Apps stacking on top of each other is not normal (except in the Downloads, Documents, and I have the MS Office icons stacked on each other, all on the right end of the Dock) nor a feature I know about. You might keep the idea of removing the dock.plist from Preferences as an option if it has trouble again.

Strange thing happening when docking my iPod
I recently lost my iPod docking cable and found a replacement at a near by store. It was a nifty little package that came with several other USB adapters to connect your USB devices including an iPod adapter. I know the iPod is connected because it's charging but it won't sync. What's going on?
Since it was working before, the most likely explanation is that the new adapter is defective, or it is a product that is only designed for charging only.

When I sign on to Safari, Aol appears with streaming adware. The same thing happens when I use Google Chrome and sign on to Aol mail. Is there anyway I can block ads and prevent safari from directing me to AOL without requesting it? I have A MacPro, Yosemite (10.10.2). Thank you

My sound has recently gone on my iphone4s, this only happens when I use my phone myself. The sound works when i receive a call or a message etc but I am unable to watch videos or play music, the sound also doesn't work on games. Remove all apps from multitasking bar. Double click Home button then tap and hold an icon and tap on little x on every app. Then reset. Hold down Home and Power button until Apple logo appears.

I am in the process of trying to transfer my iTunes library from one computer to another. Some of the music/film info has been edited (by me) in my library (using get info). When put onto new computer (following apple's instructions- using an external hard drive) the info has gone back to how it was before i edited it.. Help!?

I try to redeem an iTunes GC and I get a "Session Has Timed Out" Message. The same thing happens when I try to download a song, after I'm taken to the SLA page. I sent Apple Support an email. They told me its software on my computer restricting access to my Internet Connection, but I haven't installed any new software since my last purchase from the iTunes Store.
