Help ! TextArea doesn't work w/ html property

IDE version : Flash 8 / CS2
Hi,
I have big troubles with TextArea component using html and
embedFonts properties with integrated font.
In brief words:
- When embedFonts and html properties are true and using
integrated font, my textarea is empty. No error in action script.
- When embedFonts is true and html propertiy is false and
using integrated font, I see my text with the integrated font but
all html tags appear as text elements.
- When embedFonts property is false and no reference to
integrated font, just html property with true, text appears with
html aspect. But with default font.
I’m trying to understand and fix the problem, but with
no success. I did not find any information about this strange
behaviour.

Help system doesn't work !

Hi there,
I am trying the Circuit Design Suite 13.0 and the help system doesn't work at all.
No help from
The main menu Help -> Multisim help F1
In all the dialogs with a Help button. Nothing happen if I click the Help button ?
I use Windows XP SP3 FRENCH and all the installtion went without any problems everything else is working perfectly.
I checked in the install program if I need to install the help system separately and didn't see anything.
Any ideas of what's goint on ?

Are you able to manually open the help file? Go to C:\Porgram files\National Instruments\Circuit Design Suite 13, the Multisim.chm file is the help file, double click on it and see if it will launch. If you the file opens and nothing is displayed, google 'unable to open .chm" file, there are lots of instructions how to fix it, here is an example:

Please help: Application doesn't work after upgrade to Workshop 8 sp2 from sp1

Hi,
Our application worked on workshop 8 sp1. After we upgrade system from sp1 to
sp2, some of the part doesn't work propertly any more.
1. netui:select seems not bind form data propertly. For drop down list box in
forms, although user has chosen something from the drop down list box, the returned
value in the form is always null.
2. we use Java script window.open(url,...) to download and view files. After upgrade
from sp1 to sp2, clients keep getting IE error complaining that "Internet Explore
can not open this Internet site. The request site is either unavailable or can
not be found. Please try again later", although the server and the files are all
in local host server.

Did you update your workshop application files and recompile your application?
A few things changed between GA and sp2, some annotations were renamed, and some
were added.
If you open up your application in Workshop sp2, it should given you the option
to upgrade your application.
Failing that, you may need to go through the code that is not performing as it
was before and check whether it was not utilising a bug that was fixed in sp2
and thus causes it to not function correctly now.

Smart value help autocomplete doesn't work

Hello,
We are using CRM 7.0. We want to provide an autocomplete option for some customer input field.
We decided to implement it with smart value help (F4) functionality. This customer field belongs to the customer Z view.
When we use this Z view in the Z component, autocomplete wotks fine but when we use it in the standard component, F4 popup help works but autocomplete (smart value help) doesn't work.
We would appreciate any help on this issue.

Sometimes just closing and reopening the Help window will clear up the problem. If it doesn't, log out or restart the computer and try again. Otherwise, you may need to delete the Help cache.
Back up all data before proceeding.
Triple-click anywhere in the line below on this page to select it:

Right-click or control-click the highlighted line and select
Services ▹ Reveal in Finder (or just Reveal)

Help~~Apache doesn't work!!

I've just installed Oracle9i application server 1.0.2.2.2a with Oracle 8.1.7 on win2000.
But Appache doesn't work.
The error message is following...
No such file or directory: Config file wdbsvr.app inaccessible thru env var WV_GATEWAY_CFG
Because I'm a beginner I have no idea why it doesn't work.
Please help me....

It is exactly what the error message says:
No such file or directory: Config file wdbsvr.app inaccessible thru env var WV_GATEWAY_CFG
this is how to fix:
1. Right click on 'My computer' > Properties > click on the 'Advanced' tab > click on 'Environmental Variables'.
2. Under System Variables, go to the last line 'WV_GATEWAY_CFG'
3. Your variable Value should be C:\ORACLE\iSuites\Apache\modplsql\cfg\wdbsvr.app
Make sure your drive letter and installation path are correct.
4. Restart your computer. Apache should work.

The Flash Help Search doesn't work

Do I need to reinstall my flash ? I installed flash 8
professional on my machine about a month ago. i have just noticed
that the search button in the help section doesn't do anything.
what should i do?
All the help content is there but the only way i can find
help on the topic I need is by searching through all the books
which is obviously not very efficient.

I was having the same problem on one of my Macs. I resolved it by removing the two help preference files in my ~/Library/Preferences folder.

NEED HELP ( sound doesn't work )

Hello, i such a problem:
i've bought a new computer P4 MSI motherboard whith OB sound card.
After installing windows,my speakers doesn't work.In hardware devices there are 3 quastion signs :
? other divices
? Ethernet controller
? multimedia controller
I tried to use update driver ( unistall and install too) but it didn't
solve the problem.
What can i do ?

Go into your BIOS settings .......Integrated Peripherals and "Enable":
1. On Board Audio Chip
2. AC 97 Audio ( whatever you have)
* Verify your speakers are connected to the correct audio outputs.
** If the above is ok..... you should be able to install your drivers in 'Device Manager' in conjuction with your MSI CD as stated earlier.

I can't print anymore, the "help" button doesn't work, and Firefox always sets to "Never Remember History" even if I change it

SO many issues with Firefox now! For one, it crashes quite a bit. I submit the crash report, and go from there. Keeps happening. But the main thing is this:
I go to "Options" and under "Privacy" it has "Never remember history" - I change it to "use custom settings for history", hit "ok" and then when I go back to it, it's back on "never remember history" already. What gives?
The issues I'm having right now is that I used to click on Print in my email (Yahoo) and pop-up blocker would stop it, but a dialog would pop up saying "try again", and I would hit that, and a separate window would open where I could print the email. Now, when I click on print, NOTHING happens. No box, no changes whatsoever. No pop-ups blocked, nothing at all. I mean, the button for "print" doesn't even react like I clicked on it. Nothing happens.
The other issue is that when there's a text box, if I start to type my email address, it suggests my email address. It never used to do this! I don't want this, either. How can I stop the suggesting of my email address. I don't want it to remember what I typed!
Another issue with Firefox is that when I click on the "menu" button in the top right, there's a question mark that says "open help menu" at the bottom. When I click on that, the help menu is EMPTY. I included a picture so you can see.
I've "reloaded Firefox", as well as downloaded another copy and actually reinstalled it. All these errors keep happening. How can I get them to stop or function correctly? What's causing them to work all wonky?

The "Use custom settings for history" selection allows to see the current history and cookie settings, but selecting this doesn't make any changes to history and cookie settings.
Firefox shows "Use custom settings for history" as an indication that at least one of the history and cookie settings is not the default to make you aware that changes were made.
If all History settings are default then the custom settings are hidden and you see "Firefox will: (Never) Remember History".
"Never Remember History" means that Private Browsing is active and "Always use private browsing mode" gets a checkmark.
You need to remove the checkmark on "Always use private browsing mode" to leave Private Browsing mode or chose the "Remember History" setting.

I'm trying to use the jTDS JDBC driver to access a MSSql database. This is the connection pool configuration:

I set up the configuration and restarted the server. I put the jtds-0.7.1.jar file on

but when I ping, I always get the same error: Operation 'pingConnectionPool' failed in 'resources' Config Mbean.
I'm getting nuts trying to solve this problem and I don't get it!.

I finally solved the problem with your responses!!!
I downloaded the final RC version of jTDS (0.8). I copyed the JAR file in c:\sun\appserver\domains\domain1\lib
The final configuration in the domain.xml is:

Hours per day, iMac Help solution doesn't work

My weekly view in iCal shows 24 hour days. I need only 8 am to 10 pm, 14 hr days. I went to iCal>Prefs>general and changed it to those hours and to show only 14 hour days. This affected NO change in iCal though iCal Help says;
"To change the days of the week or the number of hours that appear in the main calendar view, choose iCal > Preferences, and make your choices from the Week and Day pop-up menus in the General pane. For example, you can choose to only see the hours from 9AM to 5PM on Monday through Friday."
iCal>Preferences>general pane does not offer me week and day pop up menus as the help item suggests.
I'm trying to switch from Now Up-To-Date to iCal. Surely apple hasn't released a calendar program that can't be adjusted as desired. (I found one thread on these discussion forums but it was 34 pages long: I found no solution in the first 3 pages and figured i'd post here, as it doesn't seem reasonable to have to read 34 pages x 15 posts/page to get an answer to such a simple question.
I hope someone will be nice enough to point out the solution i'm overlooking.

Thanks. I agree that provides a hack of sorts to achieve my goal. But can we also agree that it's a workaround unworthy of apple (or anyone's) quality software? I mean, a calendar program that by default shows all 24 hours and CAN'T have that changed, only the portion of it that shows at first?
And if this is the only solution, what, then, is the usefulness of the preference i've changed to read: "Show 14 hours at a time" ?

Kdelibs-noarts -- help please, doesn't work [solved]

I'm a xfce user and just want amarok and sometimes k3b and k9copy from kde. I don't want any konqueror, kwrite, arts or any other bloated stuff in my machine. So, i modified the kdelibs PKGBUILD to suit my needs -without arts nor avahi dependency/support.
It builds and runs fine, but when restarting my system (or installing it without having official kdelibs package previously installed) i have no symlinks to the bins. I also have no menu items for kde-apps. If i try to run amarok (for example) from terminal giving the whole address (/opt/kde/bin/amarokapp) it runs ok giving no error, so i guess the problem is just that my kdelibs pkg isn't making the appropriate symlinks during boot?

I fixed it. The problem was so stupid, i forgot to add kde-common as dependency... however, it is working now. I cleaned the PKGBUILD a little and uploaded it to AUR.
