Help, why did all my adobe products suddenly stopped working ????

im a photoshop and indesign user,
suddenly one day photoshop is freezing on open, and i cannot do any functions with it.... so eventually frustrated with it, i uninstall it and try to reinstall. however, i open creative suite and it tells me i need to update creative suite, so i do this. creative suite finds a problem half way and tells me it cannot complete the install.. after that i cant even find creative suite on my computer any more. it has vanished completely. i also notice that indesign isnt working.
so i go to the adobe website and try to re-download photoshop from my account history. and no matter how many times i click the download button, nothing happens !!!!!!
what the HECK IS GOING ON??? someone please help

You need to say what version of Photoshop and InDesign, and what Operating System you are using?
Did you deactivate before reinstalling (you may not have had the option if it was not working).
The Cleaner tool might help remove debris form the original corrupted installation:

Why did video and audio chat suddenly stop working?

I used to be able to video and audio chat with my parents, but it suddenly stopped working. They use AIM.
I get the "There was a communication error during your chat" message come up when I try to connect to their video chat requests. I spent a couple hours reading the old posts on this issue, but nothing seems to work for me. Thanks to anyone who can help me -- my parents in Illinois want to be able to see their grandbaby!

Ok,
Most routing devices have ports that are open (1 - 1024) that allow you to use Web Browser and Mail apps without any set up.
Certain apps need other ports open or allowed as thy are normally closed (1024 - 65535)
Now there are several ways to open these ports.
One method is called Port Forwarding and points the ports you list to one IP on your LAN (The one your computer is getting/using)
Now if the routing device is left doing DHCP this IP can change now and then meaning the Port Forwarding is no longer pointing to the Computer (IP).
If your computer (or your parents in this case) is left on all the time it tends to keep the IP as the Lease as it is called is renewed.
However if the computer is Off for longer than the lease time It will get a new IP
The thing to do is check the routing device's Settings.
This site lists many devices.
If yours is there click on it.
On the next page Click on iChat
You will now see the Default Access Info (And the Port Forwarding info)
DO NOT DO the Port Forwarding but check the settings.
If it does have Port Forwarding set up check the IP it lists as going to matches the one you see in System Preferences > Network for your computer.
AS you say your parents were away for a time I suspect it may be their end.

Why did my junk email filter suddenly stop working?

I have been using Thunderbird successfully for some time. Usually junk email goes to the Junk folder automatically. It suddenly stopped doing so. MY settings have not changed.

What happens in you use Thunderbird safe mode?
Restart Thunderbird with add-ons disabled (Thunderbird Safe Mode). On the Help menu (alt+H) , click on "Restart with Add-ons Disabled". If Thunderbird works like normal, there is an Add-on or Theme interfering with normal operations. You will need to re-enable add-ons one at a time until you locate the offender.

Why did my Creative cloud desktop app stop working! Ask me to remove and install it with a new download only for that to not fix or work! Sending me around in circles! Very frustrating and annoying!

Welcome to the forum!
The good news is that, unless you have figured out a way to fold that system in half, the wires are proabaly OK. I am not being sarcastic; webcams are so fragile that the wires in notebooks are frequently damaged and the little camera will suddenly stop working.
Try this:
Reinstall the Driver for your Webcam:
There are 32 US TouchSmart 300 systems listed and 84 listed outside the US... some of these may have builtin webcams. Go to your computer's website, find, and reinstall your webcam driver. It's fast, easy, and may fix the issue.
If you are having real issues getting your webcam to work, or if you have recently upgraded you Operating System, you may have to reinstall your webcam software.
NOTE: If all else fails and you cannot find a driver for YOUR Operating System, note that sometimes Vista drivers will work on Windows 7; Vista came first - Windows 7 and Vista remain closely related. Just tell your website that you have Vista and see if there is a driver for you under Vista. If even that fails, ask again for assistance and we can look for a driver for you that will work.
Go to the top of the HP forum page to Support and Drivers
Enter your Computer Model information, and then go to Software and Drivers...
Enter your Operating System in the Drop-down menu... Scroll down
Look for category Software - Multimedia
Select the appropriate software, most usually, Cyberlink YouCam Software OR MediaSmart Webcam – if it is available for your system
Save the appropriate *.exe installation package on your computer
NOTE the name and the location - the *.exe file will likely save to "Downloads “
Install the Software / Driver installation package: If you have ‘Admin’ control, you may highlight the package(s) and “double-click” to install, else Right-Click, Select ‘run as Administrator’ and install.
NOTE: There is sometimes a lot of information at the computer’s website. Be sure to take an extended look at what’s available.

Why did my 4th generation iPod touch stop working with my docking station?

I have an Altec docking station and my iPod suddenly stopped working on it. The station comes on and makes a beeping noise like it is connected when I insert the iPod. However, the music will only come out of the iPod. The docking station will charge the battery on the iPod, so I assume it isn't broken.

- While charging try resetting the iPod:
Reset iPod touch: Press and hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home
button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Next try restoring the iPod via iTunes. First from backup and if still problem restore to factory defaults/new iPod.
- However, I really think that the iPod has a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order. If defective Apple should give you a refurbished iPod.

Why did my copy of Photoshop CS3 stop working? The message tells me that Adobe has stopped licensing it. I love it. I want to use it. How?

My copy of Photoshop CS3 has stopped working. I love it. I am very familiar with it. I paid hundreds of dollars for it. When I click on it (W/my MAC) I get a message that reads: "You cannot use this product at this time. You must repair the product by contacting Adobe Customer Support."
So how do I repair it so it works again? I've called the "Chat" forum three times and they do nothing. Please help...I use this Photoshop CS3 for work.
I have the serial number, but not the original disc which was damaged.

The simplest way to clear it up is usually a re-install. Here is a link to the installers: Download CS3 products. Have your serial number ready.

This is normally caused by the Ask toolbar, uninstall the Ask toolbar and it should work again. There is a compatibility issue with the Ask toolbar and Firefox that prevents new tabs from being opened.
There are a couple of places to check for the Ask toolbar:
* Check the Windows Control panel for the Ask Toolbar - http://about.ask.com/apn/toolbar/docs/default/faq/en/ff/index.html#na4
* Also check your list of extensions, you may be able to uninstall it from there - https://support.mozilla.com/kb/Uninstalling+add-ons

Why did the Mozilla Plugin Check page stop working?

This morning I updated to Firefox 18.0.2. Then because of the java stuff that has been going on, I went to update to the latest version. I uninstalled the old Java and installed the new. Then I went to the plugin check page to make sure everything was good. I just did this last week and it was working, but today I do not see ANY plugins listed. The rest of the page loads fine and the links all seem to work, but the plugin section is completely blank. I tried refreshing, letting it sit on that page for 30 minutes or so, and restarting Firefox, but the page still implies I do not have any plugins. Any thoughts?

My iPod nano isn't yet a year old. It just stopped working one day. I don't have much music stored on it. I thought it was the battery but plugging it up didn't do anything. Please help!

Make sure the headphones jack is inserted all the way. There's a switch inside the socket: if the jack isn't inserted all the way the switch will not be pressed, and the iPod assumes that there's no headphones connected.
If the headphones jack is inserted all the way and the problem still occurs, try a different set of headphones.
If that doesn't help, the switch may be broken and needs to be repaired.

Why did my greasemonkay powerbot for koc stop working?

I installed version 7 and powerbot for koc stopped working (this is a user created greasemonkey script).

Only the Greasemonkey Tools tab is hidden after updating to Firefox 7. This is the tab that shows the summaries for data in all the KOC cities.
My add-ons are not disabled, after reinstalling them and making sure they were enabled I was able to change the settings for everything except the Tools; Tools is enabled but the tab is missing making it unusable.
There are a lot of KOC users having this same problem and I am working with a Windows expert that told me he fixed the problem by reinstalling everything, not closing Firefox but disconnecting from KOC, clearing the cache, shutting down Firefox and leaving it down for more than 30 seconds, and then restarting it. I am working on this fix now, I hope it works.

Printing from an Adobe product suddenly not working

The latest security update for 10.5.5 seems to have messed up my printing ability.
Printing from Adobe Illustrator or InDesign (CS3) my files are mysteriously reduced and rotated, or just reduced as if they were forced to fit smaller paper. The workaround is printing from Acrobat.
Printer is a Savin 3528 color using the Postscript driver.
Another similar Apple in the office developed the same problem once update was installed. I am pretty sure it was this update: HT1222

Katy, In other odd license situations like this, Abode has required a phone call to work it out. As they should be aware of the Apple HD replacement programs and if you have the Adobe disks and/or serial numbers, I think you can walk through it with them on the phone.
Your profile doesn't have the Geographic location field filled in so I having to make the provincial and possibly incorrect assumption that you are in N. America. If you're not, I don't know the Adobe options elsewhere.

Using IPhoto I always had slideshows with music added. Now all of a sudden, slideshow does not work and I can not figure out what I may have done. Any help?

I have the same issue and from the console the error says "Error in opening theme database at path: /Library/Application Support/IPhoto/Themes.db
I can see that there are themes in the Library/Application Support/iPhoto directory all with extension .IPBookTheme but do not see any file .db.
Started happending after upgrading to iphoto11 version 9.1.5.
