Help with 2 simultaneous internal users trying to VPN (Cisco s/w) to extern

Hello all,
We are a small office running Small Business Server 2003 - which means we're running the ISA 2004 firewall.
An external company has provided us with Cisco VPN software (ver403a) to access their network/secure web site.
A single user has been able to successfully connect to the company's network for quite some time. This was working just fine until two users tried to connect at the same time - using the same VPN user ID. We were told by the company that this should work but it simply isn't so we requested a second VPN user ID to test with.
Now what happens is that User A will connect successfully and User B can connect successfully at the same time however even though User B is connected, and you even see an IP assigned to the VPN adaptor, the user can not ping the company's web site and then of course can't access it. Very strange indeed!
I went back to the company and told them about our dilemma and we were told that it's nothing at their end but a routing/NAT issue at our end. So here I am now seeking some assistance from hopefully some Cisco experts. :-)
Appropriate ports have been opened in ISA and again both users will get connected to the VPN just fine, it is just that the second user can?t go any further.
It's been suggested to me that perhaps it's not a routing issue but that the company's Cisco VPN server/box is rejecting the second connection because it's coming from the same IP address - which would be the IP address of our ISA servers external network card.
If anyone has any suggestions as to how to fix this I would be so grateful!

Configuring multiple VPN tunnels to the same device (same public IP address) is not possible since it is not possible to have more than one IPsec Security Association (SA) for the same peer. However, it is possible to configure multiple VPN tunnels to multiple devices. In your case if your client PC's are using public IP addresses they both can simultaneously connect to the remote end vpn server. However if you are using a single public IP address then it is not possible to have mutiple vpn connections. If you have only one ip from your isp then it would have to do PAT and you wont be able to have both vpn clients connect at the same
time.

In need of immediate help with FCP new user taking over colleagues position

Good Morning. I am in urgent need of some help with a specific final cut pro question. My coworker and I have been working on a video project for our employer, a university. He ran the editor (FCP) and I ran the logistics of setting things up, keeping the contacts and scheduling, etc.
He has left until late August and there are two major typos in his work which is posted to the web at the moment. I need to correct these typos and have less than a faint idea of how to do it.
First of all, what is the file's last three letters? (.doc, .mov, etc...)
Second, can I edit this as easily as I think I can? Just click in the text file along the bottom timeline and edit that way?
How do I export the movie as an mp4 file after i have edited it.
Anything else that would be deemed helpful is always appreciated!

You need to locate the Project file. Which will be somewhere in your colleague's User space.
In the Finder, press command and F to activate the Find function.
Make sure the following parameters are set:
Search *This Mac* and Contents
Kind is Documents
Type the project name.
The icon looks like this:
Double click it to launch Final Cut Pro with the project.
To locate the text overlay, click on the Timeline to make it active. Use the down arrow on your keyboard to jump from one cut to the next. The text overlay will look similar to this:
Double click on the Text clip. This will place it in the Viewer (the left "monitor").
Click the "Controls" tab above the Viewer and make your changes. Press Return.
Clicking anywhere in the Timeline once more will update it.
Make sure that no clips are selected and the Timeline is the active window.
Go to the menu bar: File > Export > Using QuickTime Conversion.
In the window that opens, make sure that Format is set to QuickTime Movie.
Click the Options button. Look at the top of the next window.
Does it say Compression Setting: H264? If it does, great.
If not, click the settings button and choose H264 from the *Compression Type* button.
At bottom left, drag the Quality slider to Best. Click OK.
This brings you back to the previous window.
Click on Size if you need to change something -there are a number of presets, but you can choose a custom size if you wish. Click OK.
That window is dismissed and returns you to the Save dialog.
Type a name and choose a destination for your file.

When i try and download i-tunes i get a message about URBCHN1 not being a win32 command, or something similar.

Sankar, your outbound send connector has an address space of *. So when you run "Get-SendConnector", you will see something like the following:

Help with simultaneous on off sound buttons

hi, I'm an intermediate flash user and I've made a file for
my kids in class that has some sound on-off buttons. they are set
to play once or loop depending on length by simple mouse click.
they will play simultaneously if more than one is clicked
individually on the page. I'm trying to make the page so the kids
can just select the sound button icon, drag as many of them as they
want (usually 2 -4 sounds at a time) into a box at the bottom of
the page where they will then just play and loop. if they are
dragged out of the box, that sound will stop. if another is dragged

Delayed mail delivery error with 1 internal user

We have an Exchange 2010 with 100 mailboxes 1 of our users is not getting any emails suddenly today after a server restart last night . She is not getting email from internal or external to the organization. All senders get a delayed delivery response
back from the exchange server when sending a message to her. All other users can send/receive internal and external. I ran the mail flow tool and there were no red checks for errors. User is not disabled in exchange nor in AD. I am lost at where to go next.

Will you help a clueless PC user trying to figure out which Macbook to buy?

Hi everyone! I am a PC user and am pretty clueless about Macs. I'm trying to buy a laptop for my boyfriend (a Mac user) as a gift and would be happy with any feedback you can give me. I think I'm trying to decide between the 13" Macbook Pro or the Macbook Air. He is a writer so pretty much his only requirement is to be ablet to run a writing program. He's also a director so at times he travels frequently. Thank for your help!

As others have posted, the MB Pro is much more powerful and feature rich than the Air. The only thing the Air has going for it is its thinness and weight. The other dimensions are pretty much identical to the 13.3" MB Pro. I think the MB Pro is also a much better value.
Now... having said that... does your boyfriend currently have a Mac notebook? I know you said he is a Mac user... but he may just have a desktop. If he does have a current Mac notebook... do you know what it is (and the size)?
Notebook choices can be very personal decisions and what you think he may prefer may not be what he would prefer. If you're going to spend the money on something like a new MacBook, you really want to be sure to get him the machine he wants vs. taking our suggestions. While the MB Pro is a much better machine all around, he may actually prefer the Air for his own reasons. After all, the MacBooks and MacBook Pros have been better machines and values than the Air since the Air was released... but they still sell them because there is still a market segment that wants them.
Maybe you could just treat him to a trip to a surprise trip to an Apple store where he can pick out what he wants. That way it's still a surprise, but you can be sure that he'll end up with what he wants.

Help with two ipod users on one computer???

Ok heres a quick rundown of the problem. My girlfriend and i both have ipod minis and i am having difficulty getting I tunes to work for me. Her I tunes works fine for her I pod, but when i try to add music files to my ipod using her I tunes, it keeps telling me that my ipod is attached to another music library, then it asks me if i want to erase the music on the ipod and download her music. I thought that maybe i was doing something wrong so i decided to install my copy of itunes to remedy the problem. I tried to install my ipods i tune disc onto the computer, everything looks like it installs well but for some reason its seems as though you can't have two versions of itunes on one computer. Can someone help me? Is there an easy way to fix this?

Need help with class I'm trying to write for school

Hi,I'm taking my first Java class, and we're learning how to write classes. I've got MOST of the program and class to work, but I'm still having trouble with it.
In the class I wrote, if I delete the "getWindTempF(strAlt)" the program runs fine, other than not doing the conversion to Fahrenheit. So, I'm guessing that there's a problem with my getWindTempF method. However, it is almost exactly a duplicate of my getWindTempC method, so I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong. The errors I get when I keep the "getWindTempF(strAlt)" in the prtWindInfo method are:

However, I really don't think there's a problem with any of the coding there. The only times I have problems with the program is when I'm trying to display the data from getWindTempF. If I omit that method, the program works perfectly. Basically, what the program is supposed to do, is hand a string (FAA_FD) to the NWSFD class, which then extracts data from it. Thank you again for the help...any other advice?

Help with creating a user function

Help with Stock Removal User Exit

Hello All
To control the storage bin selection, I am using the user exit MWMTO004. When I use the transaction LT03 to create a transfer order the system selects the storage bin selected by me. However, when I create a transfer order through L_TO_CREATE_INT it doesnt select the storage bin chosen by me. After debugging the code in LT03, I found out that SAP locks the bin with lock object ELLQUAX and ELLQUAY and thus prevents it from re-selecting the same bin. Is there a way in the user exit, through which I can prevent selecting the same bin. I would be thankful for your inputs in this regard.

Oh God, such a relief I solved it. SAP provides a FM, L_TO_CREATE_GET_INFO, which updates the quantity that has already been picked. The following is what I am doing to select a bin in the user exit:
1) Clear the internal table sent to the user exit (t_qmat).
2) Call the FM L_TO_CREATE_GET_INFO to check the quantity left in each bin.
3) Select a bin and insert that bin as the first record of the internal table.

Go to the App Store and try upgrading to the latest version - that may fix your problems: a 'fresh' install - looks as if there's something wrong with some of your frameworks.

Hi i need help with applescript to stop downloads when vpn fails

I am an apple script novice, I would like to be able to have a script run all the time to detect vpn failures and close transmission when this happens:
so far:
on idle
          do shell script "ifconfig -lu"
          if "ifconfig -lu" contains "tun0" then
          else if "ifconfig -lu" does not contain "tun0" then
                    tell application "System Events"
                              tell application "Transmission"
                                        quit

it closes transmission and nothing else. tun0 is my vpn interface and seemed the most fireproof way of understanding the state of the vpn connect. When VPN is down tun0 doesnt exist. Please help.

There are several things wrong with your script.
First, the glaring one:
          if "ifconfig -lu" contains "tun0" then
This will never, ever, ever be true. What you're asking AppleScript is whether the string "ifconfig -lu" contains the string "tun0". Never going to happen. Not even close.
What you really mean is whether the output of the shell command 'ifconfig -lu' contains 'tun0'. The easiest way to do that is to capture the output of the do shell script command in a variable and then test the variable, not the literal string:
set activeInterfaces to do shell script "ifconfig -lu"
if activeInterfaces does not contain "tun0" then
-- stuff goes here
end if
Now AppleScript runs the shell script and puts the result in activeInterfaces which you then test to see if it contains (or, in this case, does not contain) the string you're looking for.
Note that I've also reworked your if statement.. there's no need to have an empty 'if' clause followed by an else if that checks the opposite... by definition if the first one fails the second one will be true.
Also note that there's no need to tell System Events to tell another application to quit - you can just do that directly.
Next up is that you don't exit your own script after you quit Transmission. So now you have the scenario where the VPN drops, your script detects it and tells transmission to quit. However, your script keeps running so it then rechecks whether the tunnel is up... since it presumably isn't, it then relaunches Transmission in order to tell it to quit again. Then it rechecks whether the tunnel is up, if it isn't, it relaunches Transmission to tell it to quit... then it rechecks... you get the idea.
Ideally you should tell your own script to quit after Transmission has exited so that you're not stuck in this loop.
Lastly you don't include a return value in your idle handler. This means that your idle handler will run every 30 seconds. That might be good enough, or you might want to check more or less frequently. Just return a value indicating the number of seconds to pause between iterations - realise that the more frequently you check, of course, the more load you put on your system
Adding that all up you'll end up with something like:
on idle
          set activeInterfaces to do shell script "ifconfig -lu"
          if activeInterfaces does not contain "tun0" then
                    tell application "Transmission" to quit
                    tell me to quit
          end if
          return 30 -- 30 is default value, but it doesn't hurt to include it here
end idle
