Help with Adobe photoshop cs3....

Hello. i need help with something. i'm trying to switch the mode so that both of my files will show up at the same time in cs3. i understand there is a command for it, but i don't know what it is. can someone please help me with this issue? help would be greatly appriciated. thank you very much for your time.

There is an option for 'window'. the problem is, i dont know where Wndows, arrange, or tile is located at! as of now, the program only allows one picture to show on the screen. i want two pictures, but i dont know the command for it. i've heard of it, but i forgot it! oh and thank you very much for replying to me!

Help with adobe flash cs3?

I don't know where else to put this topic, so I'm putting it here. I'm using Adobe Flash CS3, and I want to rotoscope a movie I made in FCE. I imported it (numerous times now, each taking about 20 minutes), but I can't figure out how to add it so it is in seperate keyframes so I can actually start rotoscoping. Does anyone know anything about this? Any help is appreciated- I've spent about two hours too many trying to figure it out. I might just be stupid... but...

But why have you chosen Flash to do the roto? Why not After Effects or even Photoshop?

Separate "keyframes?" Do you mean individual FRAMES? You must export out of your editor as an image sequence. Easy. See the online help system or the manuals.

You're not stupid, you just are in a bit over your head. Incomplete research. Roto is a huge niche industry, heavily supported with lots of tutorials but...
Rotoscoping is difficult under the best conditions, you want to find some tutorials from Flash support sites before tackling this.

Raw Beginner need help with Adobe Photoshop CS2

I am reading Photoshop CS2 for digital photographers by Scott Kelby. I am looking at pg 55 if any one has this book and would like to visually see what I am about to describe. I own Adobe Photoshop CS2 software. After bringing up Adobe bride RAW on my PC, I then see all the settings, Exposure, Shadows, Brightness, Contrast, and Saturation.. Located directly above all of these settings is Auto and Default which you can click on and adjust all settings at the same time. If you don't like what you see you click on Default to go back to the original, you can then make your adjustments individually. In my CS2 book there is an Auto box you can check or un-check beside each setting, Exposure, Shadows, Brightness, and Contrast. My question is how do I get the Auto box beside each setting so I can simply put a check in that box and preview changes individually instead of the Auto and Default on top which changes every setting at the same time? I hope this make since to you, if not I will try to explain again.

Thank you Ramon for your help. I will just be happy with what I have, which works fine but I thought it might be better for me to have the individual Auto check box for each setting. Thank you for the tip to double-click the sliders to reset it to default, it works in CS2 also:) Actually this gives me more control and works out great now that I think about it. I am sure there are more handy little tips I should know about but don't because I am a beginner in learning RAW. Hopefully I'll stumble across a book or some thing over the internet that will help me with my learning curve.

Need Help With Adobe Photoshop Elements 2.0

I have and use Adobe Acrobat and three versions of Adobe Photoshop Elements (2, 5 and 7). I use version 2 frequently as I'm more familiar with it and it's simpler to use for what I need to do. All was fine until recently when my computer was installed with Windows 8. Now I can't save photo edits from Version 2.0...... it aborts each time I try. Why is that? It is costing me a lot of wasted time. The other versions that i have don't do that. Need help. Thanks. Stu Snyder.

The first thing i would try is deleting the Photoshop Elements 2.0 Prefs folder as explained in the post #2 linked to below:

Does it happen when trying to save as any file format or just a certain one like jpeg?
Have you tried saving a photo to a different place like your desktop?

I purchased Adobe Photoshop Elements yesterday and was sent the download link. I tried to download the product but one of the 2 files I need would not download and after a few attempts it blocked my access saying there were too many download attempts. Please help.

Help with Adobe Photoshop 5.0 install and upgrade to 7.0

I have a photoshop 5.0 (purchased to work with win xp) which i have not installed and used for a long time
I also have a Photoshop 7.0 win upgrade
My question is this:
I want to install my adobe photoshop 5.0 on a windows 7 machine,
i want to than upgrade to photo shop 7.0
for photoshop 5.0,
the cd runs and i get the SETUP MENU, WHERE I AM OFFERED OPTIONS TO INSTALL ADOBE PHOTOSHOP 5.0 AND ADOBE ACROBAT READER V3.01 ETC....
when i click on the install adobe photoshop 5.0 icon, it doesn't seem to do anything/
i have also tried to see if anything is happening in task manager - task says running - but nothing seems to be happening
any ideas why?

Are you trying to install 5.0 just so you can install the upgrade to 7.0?
If that's the case, you need not install 5.0. Just install 7.0 and when it asks you about what you're upgrading from, insert the disc for 5.0 per its instructions.
And, you're kind of living in the past... Even Photoshop 7.0 has very limited capabilities compared to what's shipping today (which is 5 full version releases newer).
It might be about time to buy a modern version of Photoshop.

Can anyone help with Adobe Photoshop Elements 13 installation?

I initially tried the free trial of Photoshop Elements 13, but it wouldn't install. When I received an email suggesting I purchase the product on sale for USD 70. (ending January 3) I purchased it, and have now paid for it and received a serial number. On January 3, when I tried to install it, I was told downloading, extraction and installation were complete, but then it quit. I tried again, but only got as far as 'download complete.' I clicked on 'open bundle,' then got message beginning: "The file archive part of Adobe Photoshop Elements is missing..." I repeated the process and got the same message.
On January 5 I paid a computer professional to install it. He got it working and I actually worked on a couple of images, but it quit after about fifteen minutes, and I am getting the above message again.

Migration wizard help with Adobe photoshop

I just bought a fancy new 20" IMac and successfully migrated most of the old emac information. I tried loading up my Photoshop CS with the old comp. still hooked up through Firewire, and it started just fine, but when I tried to load it up when the old computer was not hooked up, it would not load. Same as trying the version 7.0. If i re-connect the old comp in it's firewire transfer mode (pressing T during start-up) and try to load up Photoshop again, it does work.
I looked at the files and it seems to be an exact duplicate from the old comp. so i don't think it is missing anything, but i do not know as much about computers as i used to..apparently.
Can anyone shed some light on how I can get my photoshop active without having the old comp. hooked up.

I did hear that, but it has seemed to transfer. I have Migrated the program over and it shows up on my new hardrive, but it cannot run without the old computer being online through the Firewire. The new Mac seems to need some sort of permission or file from the old mac to load up fully. So there is no way to find the part of the program that still exists on the old hardrive?
The other problem I have is that my Photoshop 7, and CS are upgrades, I no longer have my 5 & 6 full program discs (if i do have them, i have not seen them in a long time) Do you know if I can install an upgrade based on what information I was able to transfer from the old Mac? or do I need a full program re-installed on the new mac for the upgrades to work? I havn't tried it yet, thought i would ask first to save another headache

Crash Problem with Adobe Photoshop CS3

I have been using photoshop and getting the same problem many times. Many times the software gets off during the work. I alwats used to save my work in the end but due to the crash problem my dats gets lost. I am trying to get it recoverbut i think its not posibble to get your lost data back.
If somebody have any best solution to this issue please let us know. Adobe must take care of this issue seriously.

Help with Adobe Photoshop elements 10 download

I have been trying for 3 days to download a copy of PSE 10. I have tried everything suggested in the forums with no luck. I even tried the direct download links and they did't work. I received a copy of PSE 10 from a promotion with EVGA. I can't understand why adobe makes it so difficult to downlaod programs. The Downlaod asistent is terriable. All I want is to downlaod the PSE 10 files. I have never had this much trouble with any product before. Adobe why not make it easier for us to try your products. If the failure in the ADA are common why not just correct that. As a share holder I am even less happy.

For the direct download links to work you need to follow the Very Important Instructions to the literal letter.

Help With Installing Photoshop CS3 Extended!

After the installation I get the message Component Install Failed.
I have uninstalled Google desktop, disabled A/V and Firewall and ran the setup from my HDD.
I have ran CCleaner after the uninstallation to clean up the registry.
But still the problem persists!

I haven't got time to do your research for you but, from memory, try getting the latest Windows Installer 3.1, and try the trick of typing
> regsvr32 jscript.dll
into the "Run" box and pressing enter.

Adobe Photoshop CS3 - Problem with Trial

I recently downloaded and installed Adobe Photoshop CS3 directly from Adobe as it is the latest version my Mac supports. Upon start up, I am greeted with two options: a) I have a serial number for this product. and b) I want to try Adobe Photoshop CS3 free for 30 days. Seeing how I am simply looking to evaluate and have not purchased said product, I selected option b.
However, upon clicking "Next >" I am greeted by an error. "Problem with Trial" I am left with nothing but wasted time. This is the first time I have ever installed Adobe Photoshop CS3 so I do not understand why it will only allow access with a serial number. Any help to allow me to try this software is appreciated.

Could the trial have a time bomb in it that prevents use after several years? There's not much of a need for Adobe to allow trials to run for so long after the product's life cycle has concluded.

Adobe Photoshop CS3 Will Not Install PLEASE HELP TRIED EVERYTHING

I downloaded from Adobe the Photoshop CS3 Extended Trial directly from Adobe. (BTW I am on Vista 32)
The first time I tried installing, ADBEPHSPCS3_WWE.exe successfully unpacked, I successfully transitioned to the Adobe Photoshop CS3 installation, and it appeared to install. After 30 minutes or so, the installer finished and simply said that shared components had installed but the Photoshop CS3 Component install failed.
I always got in the log Error 1935.An error occurred during the installation of assembly 'Microsoft.VC80.MFCLOC,version="8.0.50727.163",type="win32",publicKeyToken="1fc8b3b9a1e18 e3b",processorArchitecture="x86"'. Please refer to Help and Support for more information
This, I know, is everyones typical problem.
I turned off firewall and antivirus.
I uninstalled ALL Adobe and Macromedia programs, including Flash and Acrobat.
I used Windows Install Cleanup Utility to remove them.
I downloaded the CS3 Clear from Adobe and cleared at levels 1, 2, and 3.
I created the Administrator account on my computer and tried everything on the Administrator account.
I tried installing Photoshop CS3 with compatibility mode for XP SP2.
I tried:
1. Open an Administrator command prompt by right clicking on Start -> All
Programs -> Accessories -> Command Prompt and selecting "Run as
Administrator" and clicking "Allow" for the elevation prompt
2. In the command prompt, type the command below
fsutil resource setautoreset true C:\
3. Reboot the machine
I tried:
Get command prompt up. It has to be run with admin rights so save yourself some time and run it this way.........Start/programs/accessories/.....right click command prompt and click run as administrator.
Then paste these commands in 1 after the other
regsvr32 vbscript.dll (THEN PRESS ENTER)
and
regsvr32 jscript.dll (AGAIN PRESS ENTER)
I even tried installing in Safe Mode but the CS3 setup would not initialize.
I do not know what else to do. I have CS2 which I will use, but I was really hoping to move to CS3 which is supposed to be better and faster. Does anyone know anything else to do? I am not a computer noob but I am not about to reinstall Vista. If anyone has any suggestions they would be greatly appreciated.

I was in the same predicament and after spend many hours over several days trying a multitude of things I finally found an easy fix (below):

Assuming you have Internet Explorer 7 go to:
Tools/Internet option/Advanced
Click the Reset dialog box. This will bring IE7 back to its default settings. You should reboot your computer. After logging back into Windows load IE and let it take you though its initial setup. When you are done close IE and install Photoshop.. This worked for me,,, hopefully it will work for you!

I installed Photoshop CS3 Trial and whenever I run it and choose to begin my trial period I get the following error message:
"Problem with Trial - problem loading trial period for Adobe Photoshop CS3".
I tried uninstalling and reinstalling, and even ran the Adobe CS3Clean Script but nothing seems to help.
I should note I never installed any earlier version of Photoshop on my system (I use a fresh copy of Windows XP with only a few programs installed).
Any suggestions will be appreciated.

i had the trial of photoshop on and the trial has run out my friend has given me a disk with adobe photoshop on and i cant do it beacause of the regestry code the photoshop puts in after the trial has ended to tell my pc that i cant have photoshop on my computer again :(:( now i have herd that you can remove the codes but it is quite hard well iam willing for this challenge and if anyone could help me i would reall welcome your help or if anybody has got the link to a tutorial to tell me hoe to do it i would aprecitae that to thank you all very much and post bak soon please
