The image is correctly referenced in the feed and should appear in the iTunes Store page eventually. It has always tended to take several days to appear, but a number of people have complained recently that their images weren't appearing even after several weeks - though some of them do now seem to have appeared. So don't be surprised if it takes rather a long time: it should appear in the end, and you've done all you can.

  • Help with Album Artwork nightmare?

I don't know how a device that has been around for 10 years still has such unbelievable problems simply maintaining and transferring songs. I recently synched my iPhone 4S with a new MacBook Pro. So, of course, it wiped out mostly everything that was on the phone and I had to manually restore it all. Now, all the songs on the phone have the wrong album art. If you look under "Albums" the right art shows. Then, when you play one of the songs in the album, the song plays but the artwork is for a different artist and album. I don't think I have EVER actually transferred or synched anything without constant problems like this.
Does anyone know how to fix the album art so that it shows correctly on the phone? Thanks in advance.

The iPod's Artwork cache does get corrupted when making frequent changes. In the iPod's Music preferences tab in iTunes, remove the check beside "Display album artwork on your iPod" and select Apply.
Once the iPod has finished syncing, recheck it and hit Apply again. iTunes should recreate the artwork cache and re-sync it to your iPod.

  • Restored my library from backup discs, need help with album art/playlist

Good morning everyone. Using the great information on this site I have successfully backed up "my library". I then reformatted my hd and reinstalled win xp and itunes. I was also successful in using the awesome restore feature of itunes. "My library" is back 100%.
The only thing left is the album art and my playlists- both currently on my ipod. My question is how do I update "my library" and "my playlist" from my ipod? I am worried that if I plug in my ipod without knowing what to do then my ipod will try to match "my library" (which does not have artwork) and thus my ipod will delete the album artwork. I have several thousand songs and would HATE to lose that artwork since it would be a time consuming pain to update those manually. Also I have 20 or so playlists on my ipod. I am afraid of losing those (currently on ipod) when I connect to itunes since it will try to update and match the now empty/blank playlist currently in itunes.
I am sure these are easy solutions for you pros out there. That's why I am asking! You folks have always given the proper help and advice whenever an issue has arisen. Thanks in advance!

some album covers just aren't exactly square, particularly if the CDs are sold in cardboard flip-cases.
I deal with artwork in a more hap-hazzard way, but most of the time, i get SQUARE results...
Just Google the album title, then click the IMAGES tab. More times than not, I find the album cover in multiple sizes and about every time, at least one version that is truly square.
All i need to do then is click the image, then again at the top of the resulting Google page (to show just the image - out of it's surrounding page), then drag the image directly to the Album Artwork Placeholder in the GET INFO tab (that has already been opened on multiple items - the whole album).

  • Having trouble with album artwork

When I sync my ipod touch with my itunes, the album artwork is all messed up. It doesn't even match up to what I have downloaded off of itunes. Do i need to reinstall itunes on my computer? I know this issue sounds trivial, but it is really annoying. Please help.

When I first started playing with iTunes a while ago
I just dragged a random picture into the album
artwork section to see what it did thinking it wasn't
a big deal, but I still haven't figured out a way to
get rid of that picture. Even after I drag the
    artwork I want over the picture I don't want...the
picture I don't want is still there along with the
picture I just added. Is there a way I can get rid
of the picture I don't want?
Yep. Get Info on the track, then go to the Artwork tab, select the art you don't want, and click Delete.

  • Issue with Album Artwork in iTunes 11.0.5.5 Update

Recently, I have imported an Audio CD into iTunes. However, I do not seem to be able to add an album artwork for it.
I would like to know how I can put in the artwork. Thanks.
    Note:
I imported the Audio CD with .wav format. (Could that be a factor?)

    Send you feedback to Apple.
If you want it back....downgrade to 10.7 until fixed!
    Uninstall 11
Install 10.7 (can be found if you look!)
Then copy last back up of your itl file
    From: Users\JoeBloggs\Music\iTunes\Previous iTunes Libraries
    To Users\JoeBloggs\Music\iTunes
    Rename file as: iTunes Library.itl
    Then run iTunes

  • Problems with album artwork

I import a lot of CDs into my iPod. When I rip the CD, it simultaneously is converted to .MP3. Often iTunes tells me it can't find the album artwork. This is a mystery because if I import the CD using Windows Media player, the artwork will show up on thumbnail view but it doesn't always carry into iTunes. For a variety of reasons, I sometimes have to use Windows Media Player for ripping because my CD/DVD drive sometimes conflicts. HOWEVER, I have had the problem even when ripping new CDs directly into iTunes quite recently. Last night I purchased a CD, ripped it with Windows Media Player and then imported. No artwork showed up. I tried searching for it and was told iTunes could not find it which makes no sense because the CD can be purchased via iTunes Store. Again, this also happens sometimes when ripping via iTunes (which is programmed to tell me of updates and I always do that so it's not a case of old version of iTunes).
Any thoughts would be helpful. This is totally annoying.

I suspect the iPod uses artwork from it's own cache rather than the one embedded in the media file. Sometimes the incorrect/black artwork can be fixed simply by removing & then resyncing the affected album, but occasionally all this does is create a problem elsewhere. In these cases unchecking the option to include artwork, syncing, then reselecting the artwork option & syncing again usually does the trick, as if forces iTunes to completely rebuild the artwork cache on the iPod.

  • Problems with Album Artwork on v7,01

I have recntly downloaded V7.0.1 and got all excited when I could retrieve all album artwork, I did this and it now shows in my itunes. the problem is when I come to transfer that to to my ipod - It has transferred the pictures as far a artists begnning with A. Midway through the transfer I get this message -
'The Ipod (alan's ipod) cannot be updated. An unknown error occured. (-50)'
    any help would be appreciated.

in this context, that one is usually associated with damaged album art files.
are you able to identify which album art it is always quitting on? if so, if you delete that particular bit of album art, does the sync go through properly without the -50?

  • Seeking Help with Album Image Issues in iPod Classic

    Hi folks -
I have a new 160 iPod Classic and have two album image-related issues I'd appreciate some help with.
In the case of several albums where I'd associated my own art with them in iTunes, the formatting appeared off in my iPod due to the vertical/horizontal proportions. So I corrected the images, replaced the images via iTunes, and re-synced. All of the old images were replaced - except for two. Is there any way to get my iPod to recognize the change to these two images, as it did for all the others?
Secondly, my "The Allman Brothers Band Live at Fillmore East" album was appearing twice in both the Cover Flow and Album list. That was strange, except that after the latest sync it now appears six times! It's only in one place in iTunes, and not erroneously set as a compilation or anything. This is the only album displaying this behavior...
Thanks for any suggestions or advice!

  • Need help about album artwork/liner!

I just purchased an album off of Itunes that is sort of random but I needed it for a class. Basically I'm just trying to figure out how to see the inside of the CD, aka the album liner. I tried "Get Album Artwork" and nothing happens. I don't know what I'm doing wrong but I need proof that I bought the cd and can't get anything except the cover! If anyone has any suggestions that would be awesome. Thank you in advance!

I need proof that I bought the cd
(its an album, not a CD)
Print the iTunes receipt or go to your -> Purchase history and take a screen shot.
Does anyone know how to tell if the album you're purchasing comes with a digital booklet?
It shows up as one of the tracks when viewing the album in the iTunes store.

  • Problems with album artwork in album section of the music app

So I have all of the album artwork for my music, and they all show whenever I play each individual one and when I view the album. But when I'm just scrolling through the albums on my phone, they don't show unless I tap on them. This bugs me as a perfectionist! Here is what I mean...
    Help would be greatly appreciated!

Delete the affected music from your iPhone and sync it back from from iTunes on your computer. You can delete music by swiping across the title and pressing the red Delete.

  • Problems with album artwork and configuration with the last iTunes version

    hello,
Since the latest version of iTunes, it is not possible to remove the manually added albums illustrations. The method is to put it more laborious because it is necessary that the image is on the computer. We can not make a copy and paste from Google Image to insert an album artwork in the song changes tab.
Also when synchronizing to an Ipod Touch 5 or 6+ iPhone, illustrations may appraissent where its just the element that is not imported.
    Thank you for your help

The new iTunes 12 Get Info dialog lacks right-click context menus (at least for now) but it still accepts most standard keyboard shortcuts and drag & drop actions.
    Delete Artwork
On the artwork tab of Get Into, tap the image in question, use Backspace or Ctrl+X. Delete doesn't work.
Or, tap the image at the top left of Get Info, this time use Backspace or Delete, it is Ctrl+X that doesn't work.
    Add Artwork
Select artwork, press Ctrl+C to copy, tap the centre of the Artwork tab, press Ctrl+V to paste.
Or, select artwork, press Ctrl+C to copy, tap the small image area at the top left, press Ctrl+V to paste.
Or, you can drag & drop to, or sometimes from, the same locations.
You can also copy artwork from the Get Info dialog to Windows Explorer with the keyboard shortcuts.
If the source image is on a web page right-click and use Copy Image rather than copy. (With Chrome I get a one pixel wraparound so tend to go for a temporary local copy anyway - not sure whose bug this is, but it isn't new.)
If you have multiple images embedded drag the one you want to be the primary artwork to the leftmost position.
    Replace/Remove All Artwork
The top left image box can be used to add or delete art from multiple tracks. In either case all existing artwork in all tracks is replaced/removed.
    Old Style Get Info Dialog
Select some items, right-click, hold down shift, then click Get Info from the context menu. (Use alt/option on a Mac)

  • Problems with album artwork with 11.0.4

I have iTunes installed on Windows 7.
    2 problems...
#1 -- I accidently deleted artwork from an album (the artwork was originally retrieved from iTunes using earlier version). When I try to retrieve the artwork from iTunes again, absolutely nothing happens. Even if I select all of my albums and select Get Album Artwork, the request ends almost immediately with no messages of any kind. I am definitely logged in.
#2 -- in the albums view, I don't see any artwork at all unless I click on an album. The view is just terrible. Nothing but a bunch of squares with the musical note. Surely this can't be intentional? How can I fix it?

Hi. The artwork cache has become corrupt and needs to be rebuilt. Connect your iPod, on the summary tab uncheck the option to include artwork, sync the ipod, reselect the artwork option, and sync again.

  • Help with 'Album View' when I have multiple artists with Greatest Hits...

Hi, I just got a new iPod Nano and I've started to import CD's I've had lying around. I came upon this problem when viewing my list in 'Album View', where Guns 'N Roses and Queen each have a 'Greatest Hits' album. iTunes lumps them both together without showing any album artwork.

  • I'm having a problem with album artwork

The artwork displays correctly on my iPod/iPhone/iTunes but it shows the wrong artwork in Album view. I've circled the correct artwork in green and the incorrect artwork in red. I've tried many things but nothing seems to fix it. Any suggestions? Thanks!
    I'm using iTunes 11.0.1

    Hi,
Is the correct album artwork the same on all tracks. If not, you can change the wrong artwork to the correct one.

  • Help!  Album artwork and external hard drive

Hello! I have a slight problem. I just moved my husband's iTunes and music to an external hard drive and all of the music showed up no problem. The problem is the artwork that he spent about 25 hours putting on iTunes. They disappeared!! I don't know where they went, where to look or anything! Help! He has over 11,000 songs and I don't want to have him start from scratch with the album covers. Any ideas of where they could be or how to hook them back up with iTunes? Any ideas would help!! Hopefully I can find this thread again...I've never used this message board before. Thank you!

    (5) On August 2, 2014, I switched from Comcast to AT&T and had the AT&T turn off the router function. (I have been using the router from my apple time capsule)
    (6) Under Network I switched to bridge mode.
    (7) And since August 2, 2014 my time capsule has not been backup.
If you got ATT to turn off router function in their modem..
Then 6. is wrong.. You cannot have the Network switched to bridge mode..
You must have it set to dhcp and nat.
That is also why you cannot backup.. the TC is off the network.
Please change back to router mode in the TC.
Ensure the internet tab shows dhcp and you create a wireless network.
Then power down the TC... power down the ATT modem.. wait about 20min (you can try 5min.. but it might not be long enough).
Power up the ATT modem.. wait 2min for things to flash lights in de right blinkin order.. then start the TC.
Open the airport utility and make sure your TC captured the public IP and is now working as the router.
That should fix that end of it.. the hotspot end??
