Help with Business Catalyst Web forms and Adobe Muse.

I created a websform to log into a secure zone using business catalyst. I pasted the webform's html into Adobe Muse. After publishing my site. The websform I created in business catalyst is deleted, but I can see all of the forms that I created using Muse in the webform section. Is there a fix for this problem? Thanks
This is the page with the forms. http://www.highestgoodclothing.com/login.html

There is a workaround. It takes a little more work, but it is definitely worth it and will solve your problem. I subscribed and learned from tutorials on the www(.)trainsimple(.)com. They have a video series called "Muse CC Business Catalyst Integration" which was very helpful. The issue that everyone on here is referring to is covered in the 3 videos labelled, "Email Sign Up Checkbox", "Moving Muse Webforms to Business Catalyst" and "Email Marketing".
Essentially, what you want to do is create a form in Business Catalyst, turn that form into a module, assign a tag to that module, then put the tag into Muse using Object > Insert HTML. This will solve Muse deleting the web forms everytime.

  • How would I create a mobile blog layout, by combining Business Catalyst's Modules and Adobe Muse's mobile design function?

The title says it all. I absolutely love Adobe Muse's ability to design mobile and tablet layouts and have grown very fond of the workflow between Business Catalyst and Adobe Muse. The only issue I have found is the ability to incorporate the blog module to a mobile design or tablet design. I understand that Business Catalyst has you insert a tag code to create a page template for the blog to sit in but is there any way to have a mobile and tablet layout for the same blog? I would love if visitors reading my blog from their phone, didn't have to switch from a phone layout to a desktop layout just to read the blog. Once they read/ switch the blog, they can no longer navigate back to the mobile website version because of the page template I have assigned to the blog. All in all, I just want the ability to have the blog fit all mobile, tablet, and desktop versions. Any ideas?

    Hey Brad,
That answer really helped and I am making progress! Now for some reason when I pull up the blog on my mobile, it says 'Error: Some files are missing or can not be loaded. Please clear cache and reload the page.' Any ideas why this might be happening? I haven't used the {system_visitorDeviceClass} that you mentioned.
Maybe the method I used to create mobile layouts was wrong but what I did was create mobile and tablet layouts with the {tag_pagecontent} on each. Once published, I copied the html code for the phone template (as it did not automatically recognize the mobile and tablet page template were part of the same desktop layout) and pasted it to my template I had already assigned as a default. I then did the same for my tablet layout. What am I missing here : /
Thank you for all the help so far! I am making progress!

  • How do I link my Creative Cloud account with Business Catalyst Web Hosting service?

    Hello,
I'm having difficulty understanding how to access the Business Catalyst service. I have attempted to log in directly to businesscatalyst.com/admin but continue to receive an error login message stating that my username and password are not recognized. I was not able to create a new business catalyst website via Dreamweaver either, despite having successfully logged into my Adobe Cloud account.
The only way I was able to set-up a website for use with Business Catalyst was by logging in via http://www.adobe.com/products/business-catalyst.html, and pressing the "try now" button, which allowed me to create a demo site. This also allowed me to log into BC, but when I attempted to upgrade the site from a trial to the webbasic service, I am asked for a payment method.
I understand that the creative cloud service includes basic web hosting for up to 5 sites and should work seamlessly with DW or Muse, or using the InContext editing options provided via browser, but I am unable to truly access any of this content. Am I doing something wrong here?
    Thank you

Please approach our support and supply them with your Adobe ID and the site URL you want to take live and they will do this for you in couple of minutes.
    Cheers,

  • Business Catalyst Web Forms

I've set up a web form with an autoresponder for employment inquiries. However, I want to change the address employment inquiries are being sent to. Right now they go to: info@ourcompanyname.
I want them to go to employment@ourcompanyname
How do I change this address.
    Thank you.

    Hi Terramomo,
Usually, a webform has a workflow associated with it. When the form is submitted by someone on the site, the workflow get's executed, and it usually send a workflow notification message to the users in the Role that's set up in the workflow. So to add another user to receive the workflow, look at the form properties to see which workflow is executed and then go to Site Settings->Workflows and edit that specific workflow. Either add the extra user you want to the Role Responsible (by going to Site Settings->Manage Users and then Manage Roles) or tick the "also send notification message to" checkbox and enter the second email address: http://screencasteu.worldsecuresystems.com/Florin/2013-12-12_1700.png
Hope this is clear and helps.
    Kind regards,

  • Using contact form created in DW with Business Catalyst (was: form submit)

    Hi.
I hope some one can help. My son has built a contact form which he wants the contents to be sent to his email address when they submit it. His site is built using Dreamweaver and is hosted on BC, he has not used BC modules to build the site it was solely built in Dreamweaver CC and uploaded to BC. Can any one tell us what code we should be using for the form to be sent to his email as we are not sure what BC will accept.
    Thanks, James.

Hi Alex,I have found some php that hopefully will help it along, I will be trying it later.
You need to find out if BC allows php processed forms to be hosted. Questions about form processing have come up before on the forum and I seem to remember that BC has its own way of processing forms, although I could  be wrong.
If you need help with setting up a php script to process the form then there are plenty of people on the forum that could give you some guidance and assistance.

  • Help with Mac 10.4.11 and Adobe CS5 compatibility?

I have a Mac OS X 10.4.11, and am attempting to
open Adobe Illustrator CS5. The program is only compatible,
however, with Mac 10.5 and higher. Is there a way I can upgrade
my software or what should I do?  (my computer says
    no new upgrades are available.)
    Thanks!

Sadly, Firefox no longer includes support for MacOS 10.4, however you can still use browsers similar to Firefox. <br>
[http://www.tenfourfox.com/ TenFourFox] is an unofficial build of Firefox for older Macs, and so will work on your computer. However since you are using a really old computer, it doesn't have all the features Firefox has. <br>
[http://caminobrowser.org/ Camino] is a community project to make the best Gecko-based browser for Macs around. Unlike TenFourFox it doesn't try to be Firefox, but instead does its own thing. <br>
[http://www.seamonkey-project.org/ SeaMonkey] is another community effort and is a continuation of the original Mozilla Suite which shares a few similar properties with Firefox. SeaMonkey is great for people who like their browsing experience retro.

I built a website on Adobe Muse trial and loaded it onto business catalyst site. I purchased Muse yesterday & trying to transfer the website over to my own domain that is hosted elsewhere. I cant find good on-line instructions. Can anyone please help? I need to get this sit live ASAP for promotion campaign.

    Hi
You would need to delete the domain from existing site and then add to your BC site.

  • Trouble with Business Catalyst FORM in Muse

I created a contact form at Business Catalyst, added it there to a published web page, copied the HTML, and inserted the HTML in Muse.
I placed the HTML on its own layer, and positioned it on the contact page, then edited it for style. This is what it looks like in Muse (image is cropped):
It looks identical when you Preview the page in Muse.
However, when I publish the site, the form is no longer on the top layer (but underneath the menu -a master page item- which in Muse is on a lower layer than the form); the form itself is positioned at 0,0 on the page, OUTSIDE the page boundary as specified in Muse, and all other page elements (except the master page items) are moved below the form vertically, but not together as designed in Muse: most (but not all) of them are stacked vertically at the bottom of the page.
In other words, the entire page layout is destroyed.
Here is what the published page looks like (image is cropped - upper-left corner is shown):
I cannot share the URL due to NDA, but I am allowed to share it privately with support staff.
    Thanks for any help.

    Hi Tom!
BC Gurus has free tutorials about Secure Zone, below are the links.
But these tutorials don´t show how to integrate these features into Muse.
I am sure that Chris Kellett (MuseGrid) or Steve Harris (Muse Themes) know how to do that but I don´t know how much they are charging for instructions.
    Best Regards

  • Dreamveawer stuck with Business Catalyst account (Adobe ID Error)?

Hi all, I recently purchased a subscription Creative Cloud, after trying one month subscription to Adobe Muse.
In that month I joined the publishing service of temporary sites on Business Catalyst.
I stopped the renewal to Adobe Muse because obviously passed to the next step.
Here are the problems started, the business catalyst login ask me to merge my login data to the Adobe ID, and returns me the error that there is already an account with that email catalyst business and can not combine the two. So, after several attempts, try (discouraged) to create an adobe id again with a different email.
Ok. Muse can go on changing the account for publishing the temporary site, but no Dreamveawer CS6. It tells me (in Italian, my language)
"There is already an account with the same e-mail in Business Catalyst. To associate the Business Catalyst account with your Adobe ID, go to the administrative console Web Business Catalyst."
within the web admin panel open, where I can do something to correct this?
Upd01: I see now a similar problem posted in http://forums.adobe.com/message/4699850
When I try to create a Business Catalyst project in Dreamweaver, I get the following error message:
An account with the same email already exists in Business Catalyst. To associate the Business Catalyst account with your Adobe ID, please log in to the Business Catalyst web administration console.
However, I can't find any place in the BC web administration console to link accounts.

    Hi Andrea
Please log into your site admin area and use the "Help & support" button to log into our support area and submit a case. You should submit a case in English, as we do not offer support in other languages.
In your case  you should add the link to this post, your first BC email account, your second BC email account . You should not use the live chat, as this issue need to be investigated & excalated.
    Best regards,
    Aniela

  • Merging Adobe ID with Business Catalyst

Can't figure out how to merge my Adobe ID with Business Catalyst. Ive looked all over the admin panel in BC and not exactly sure where the option is. Anyone able to point me in the right direction?

You have to contact BC support and tell them to merge your two IDs.  Visit http://www.businesscatalyst.com/contact and send them a message. For a quicker response include your BC Partner email address/id and your Creative Cloud ID/email in the support request.

  • I need help with a 1 Page Form with scrollable text field (5000 limit characters) and printing

Hello, I have no training in using Adobe Acrobat Pro or Livecycle Designer so I need major help with a 1 page form that I am attempting to create. Basically the form will be used to nominate employees for a Job Well Done Award.
    The form contains the following:
1.) The name(s) of the employees being nominated and the date of the accomplishment.
2.) In the middle of the page I have a section for a write up, limited to 5000 characters, this is were I am needing the most help. A couple of things, about this section: The font is set at 11 and I don't want it to change. The text field has multiple-line, scroll long text enabled. The text field is a certain size and can only hold so much text, then it starts to scroll, which I am ok with, I like that feature. The issue I am having is during printing. I would like to keep the text field scrollable but when I print I would like to be able to print everything in that field. Executing this is the problem, I have no clue how to do it. I was hoping for some setting within Acrobat Pro or LiveCycle to be available, but the more I read and research this, it appears that it may require java, xml, basically some coding. I don't know for sure.
3.) Below the text field I have another field for the person nominating to type their name and right next to that another field for a digital signature.
4.) And finally below those two fields I have a Submit button that is setup to start email application so the form can be emailed to the proper inbox.
    Thank you in advance.

With an Acrobat form the only thing you can do is export the text to
another location (like a blank field on another page) or to another file
format. With an LCD form you can expand the text box itself, but you'll
need to ask about that over at the LCD Scripting forum.

  • Hi, I have Adobe Acrobat Professional. And I'd like to create web forms through Adobe for my site. Do I have to subscribe? or is it included in my Acrobat Professional Software?

    Hi there ferchandler,
You can most definitely create and distribute forms using your Acrobat Pro software. Here's a link to the Acrobat Help, which has some good info to get you started: Acrobat Help | PDF forms basics
And, there is a forum dedicated to forms as well: PDF Forms
Please let us know if you have additional questions.

  • Hosting Client Sites with Business Catalyst?

Do I have to HOST potential client sites with Business Cataylst in order for the forms widget to work? I am very excited about this tool but this is one major issue that I need clarity on that plan old experience and practice will not answer. I have already used form entry sites that give you the code, but it just isnt MUSE! I get redirected to their sites and makes the overall site look less authentic... Can someone provide a little insight please!!! I'd call in to 1800 MUSE HELP if I could. Thanks!

Yes, the sites need to be hosted with Business Catalyst in order for the forms widget to work out of the box.
Users have also reported success adding contact forms to their site using Adobe FormsCentral, Jotform, or Wufoo and inserting them via Object > Insert HTML.
Read more about Muse's Contact form widgets here - http://www.adobekb.com/adding_contact_forms.html
"If you want to create and style forms with Muse and then upload your site to a different web hosting service, the forms will display as you designed them, but they will not function. If you have experience working with code, you can use Muse to export your site and then open the files in an HTML editor. Update the source code of the form to make it compatible with the form processing technology used by your hosting provider before you upload the files to their server."
    Thanks,
    Vinayak
