Help with iphone 5 in bmw vechile

Hi Can anyone help me please.
I have a BMW X5
I have an iphone 5 which worked perfectly in my car until i did the update.
Once i did theupdate my car says "No entrie" ( Contacts, Dialled numbers, Received calls etc)
I have tried removing it and reinstalling it but I still end up with the same thing.
My daughter has the same phone with the update and when i try and pair hers it works perfectly.
I have checked the settings on both phones and they appear to be the same.
Can any one please offer any assistance.
I have been to BMW and they can not fix it either as they said it is a phone issue.

BMW will likely put out an update to support the newest OS. Remember, its up to third parties to keep up to date with Apples OS's. It's not Apples job to make sure their OS works with all previous accessories!

Yes. I had an iPhone 3G and when upgraded to 6.1 the bluetooth connectivity failed progressively and eventually the phone just wouldn't connect. I broke and reestablished the pairing am few times and each time it would work for a while then disconnect to the extent I thought the bluetooth hardware in the car was failing. I then got an iPhone 5 and the same issue remained. In the last few days I've paired an old Blackberry with the car kit to rule out the BMW hardware. Blackberry is fine so it has to be iOS incompatibility.

Ios8 with iphone 6 in BMW 2011 323i - plugged in

when i plug in my iphone and am listening to a song and i receive a message/text, i bounces out of music mode, and goes to the radio on the bmw. it is like it stops the music program on the iphone, the car doesn't know what to do, and then reverts back to default, which is the radio.

I have a similar problem with iPhone 6 and OS 8.0.2. My older iPhone 5 and OS 7.1 had no problems. I am not using the later Combox ConnectedDrive w/ USB, but the legacy 30pin interface w/ lightning to 30pin accessory, with the BMW supplied Y-cable with my MY2010 CIC equipped vehicle.
I can't start / stop playback or play a track listed. It is actually listing the tracks out though.
Tried unplugging / replugging phone, adapter, restarting CIC headunit (holding volume for 20 seconds), switching inputs, killing all apps. Only thing that seems to temporarily resolve it is hard restart of phone.
I reported feedback to Apple.

I need help with IPHOne 4s IOS 7.0.4 battery life not improving

Alright, I Ned help with my iPhone 4S battler life, it is horrible, it will drain in about 12 hours. All I do is check my email, text a few people, and check a few apps. When I may school, it is a hundred percent, then I check it during school etc, when I go to bed it is about 20-30% battery life. Need help. Any suggestions? I tried a hard resets and restoring to a new iPhone etc, nothing worked.

I"m not at all sure what is the problem when you are describing your battery as holding its charge for 12 hours???
How long do you want your device to hold its battery charge???
Please see this article for tips on conserving battery charge. But PLEASE if you are looking for a device to hold its charge for LONGER than 12 hours I would suggest an android.

Help with iphone freezing

Does anyone have any advice for an iPhone that is consistently freezing? When this occurs a white flickering bar appears across the top of the phone and the phone becomes unresponsive to touch. This happens randomly but frequently and lasts from a few seconds to a few minutes.

After reviewing your post, it sounds as though your device is frequently becoming unresponsive. I have located an article that can help with software issues. Have you attempted to restore the device to factory settings without restoring from a backup? Test the issue on a new installation, and make sure that it works. Then use the same article to restore from your backup to either verify it still works, or isolate the issue to the backup itself.

1.What I did conect to itunes then come up mesage:

2. I visited the apple store and they try restore the iphone and hapend but nothing changed is come up again the message.
So one man from enginering take a phone for check and he sai that may be is been replaced the sreen and is not from apple brand, so may be for that reson is showing mesage.
3. I open the phone and take out main board and put to good working phone. So what hapeand? same thing, same mesage come up. Never mind, I conect to itunes and hold button with power buton to restore phone again, but nothing changed same mesage on itunes.
4. I check the IMEII if is blocked or no and is unblocked.

Nothing anyone can do for you. You have a second hand phone that's been repaired by an unauthorized 3rd party using counterfeit, stolen, or salvaged parts. Apple won't touch it, as you've learned.
Buy a new phone. Preferably, from a legitimate source.

Help with iPhone 4 [Not about antenna,proximity etc.]

Hi, it's not about antenna issue or proximity issue.
Basically my mother fiddled with my iPhone 4 lol!
When she gave it back to me there's a "lock" image beside the battery which I never seen before. WHen I asked her what she did, she said she doesn't know. She's not familiar with iphone
Well my question is, does anybody recognise the "lock" symbol beside the battery? I want to remove it but I don't know how to. I tried looking through the settings but i can't seem to find what is it or where to disable/remove it.
I can't describe it but I have an image of the i4 below. It's not very clear but hopefully you can see it.

That is orientation lock - stops the screen rotating when you turn phone.
To take it off - double click home scroll to left hand end of icon list and touch the icon that looks like a bigger version of the one on screen.

I have set up an apple ID. but when I try to download an app from my iphone it just says that my account has not yet been used in the itunes store and wont let me go any further. can you help?

Help with iphone update to 7.0.4 - wont restore or leave the connect to itunes screen

I am currently overseas in Thailand and decided to try to update my iso from 6 to 7. Initially I went through settings>software update with a strong connection to wifi - it downloaded on my phone but then instead of updating came with the screen connect to itunes (I am thinking because there wasnt enough space on my iphone?). I have now connected it to a computer with the most updated version of itunes.
The screen on itunes looks like this:

Your iphone software is up to date, iTunes will automatically look for an update again on the 24/2/2014.
The two buttons below say "check for update (grey)" and "restore iphone (can click)" - I have clicked restore iphone and it proceeded to download iphone software update (1.12GB) - once downloaded nothing changes, i cannot apply the download to my iphone and still my iphone has the connect to itunes screen - I have done this twice and nothing has changed.
I would really appreciate any help or advice on what is happening, and why it cant restore my iphone -
Apple tech geeks encouraged to respond!!! please!!! I really need to have my iphone working again.

At all stages I have tried holding the circle button and top button to reset iphone but nothing changes!

Put the iPhone in DFU mode, (Google how to put iPhone in DFU mode).
Shift+Restore if using PC, Option+Restore for Mac, point to already downloaded firmware. You may have to un-hide folders to see the .IPSW file

Help with iPhone 3GS (not restoring, seems to be in loop)

My phone has not warranty and before taking the next step of having to replace it I would like to read your suggestions or possible solutions for the problems I'm experiencing with my iPhone:
I have an iPhone 3GS that fell into a cup of coffee. It didn't submerge completely and I was able to open it and dry it very quickly. When I opened it only the dock connection was wet (nothing on the battery or the motherboard). Either way I made sure to check every connection and made sure no coffee drops were left on the inside of the device.
Here are the issues I've encountered since then:
1. Afterwards I check the phone by plugin it into the wall charger. I turned on, screen looked OK and I was even prompted with the "Enter passcode" screen. I entered the password and immediately the screen went black and reset to the Apple logo. So long as I had the phone charging through the wall charger the Apple logo will constantly appear. No longer the password screen will show up and the phone seemed to be in a loop that started and ended with the blinking Apple logo. Once unplugged from the wall the iPhone will turn off and make no sound or show any signs of turning on again.
2. When connecting to the computer on the first attempt the iPhone will enter recovery mode (showing the connector and iTunes logo) and be recognized by both the computer and iTunes. iTunes will then prompt me to do a restore of the phone. I will follow the steps and "Restore and update" my iPhone. After "extracting the software" and "Verifying with Apple" to start the installation iTunes will prompt me with an error (I've repeated this step several times so there are several different errors I've encountered. Some of the errors include: 20, 21, 3194, 1600, 2001, 2003). After receiving the error iTunes will eject and no longer recognize the device. The iPhone (still connected to the computer) will no longer show the "Recovery Mode" logos and will start working in a loop (blinking Apple logo that appears to turn on and off as in a loop). The computer (device manager) will not recognize the iPhone either (no USB or ports showing the iPhone is still connected).
My iPhone is not unlocked or jailbroken. Before the incident with the coffee I managed to synchronize and update its firmware as indicated by iTunes. The latest update for my iPhone was 5.0.1. firmware. My intent is not to unlock or jailbrake the device, just to make it work again.
Here are some things I've tried since:
1. Exiting recovery mode via iReb, Tinyumbrella
2. Entering DFU mode via iReb, Sn0wbreeze,
3. Shift + Restore and using firmwares from 3.0 to 5.0 to downgrade or upgrade my iPhone.
4. Add new hosts to my Host file
5. Try sn0wbreeze and use IPSW to see if it is recognized by iTunes (iTunes recognizes the iPhone but then at the very last minute shows error 20, 21, 3194 or 1600.
6. Save SHSH files and use Tinyumbrella to uploaded them to my iPhone.
I would really appreciate if someone can help me on this. I might be doing something wrong or maybe not even considering the right steps to solve this issue. I don't know if there are missing drivers that are preventing the device from communicating with iTunes properly. Of some tool that can be used to correct this problem. It may or may not be fixable but I think it is worth the try.

Help with iphone 3gs backlight

My Iphone 3gs backlight just stopped working. I can still see that everything is still working but the backlight is just dead. I tried resetting it and recharging it but the backlight still does not come back when I turn the phone back on or touch the screen. Any help would be appreciated.

If no change after restoring your iPhone with iTunes from your iPhone's backup and especially after restoring with iTunes as a new iPhone or not from your iPhone's backup, more than likely your iPhone has a hardware problem.

for the whole day my network has been 'Searching...'
i have tried airplane mode on and off, turning my phone on and off and network reset and taking sim in and out.
so i backed up my phone and restored to factory settings as i don't think i did the option of choosing manually select a carrier.
my network is still 'searching...' and it won't let my wifi to allow me to activate my iphone. i have tried to connect to itunes and it still won;t work.
i keep getting a message about no activation server.
this is a new iphone. i got it replaced on saturday.

If this is a new iPhone then you will have free access, as all iPhones come with it, to Apple support. I would have them take care of an issue like this.

Need Help with Iphone 5

I recently bought the new I phone 5 unlocked and logged in with my friends apple Id to start the phone.Somehow when I was activating the phone,I chose one of my friend's number and now the iphone is having a verizon connection and also shows a number under contacts as "my number ********** ".
I have tried everything to remove the number but it won't go away.I think the number was associated to my friends apple Id and now this Verizon number has got a hold on my brand new phone.There is no sim in the phone right now.
I have reset the phone to factory settings a couple of times but the connection is still there.I would try to get a new sim and see if that can help but I was also concerned if my activity on facetime/i message is visible to my friend or anyone who can log in with my friend's apple ID.
Please help,Using the iphone for the first time and confused!!!

Need help with iphone battery charging please

hey all,
i have a problem with charging iphone battery,
i´ve had the phone for 8months now with no problems at all,
yesterday i used it as a modem for connecting to the internet and it worked just fine but the battery died so quick and now it wont charge at all
i used both charge connector and USB drive in the computer - nothing works, i already tried resseting it several times - didnt work either, i also tried plugging in a different cable - thta didnt help either so its basically turned into a brick, i noticed tho when i try to restart it there´s a couple wierd lines on my display but then it doesnt turn on or anything, it goes back to a black screen with battery picture and one red line indicating i need to charge it...
i tried to charge it overnight but the red line on the battery pic doesnt move or anything, there´s no sign of it charging at all and it doesnt even want to sync with the computer, i dont know what else to try
please help someone

If you are in a country where Apple provides direct support and has an Apple store, you can contact Apple or make an appointment at an Apple store if there is one nearby.
If you live an a country where Apple doesn't provide direct support - support for the iPhone is handled by the official carrier for the iPhone, contact your carrier.
