Help with updating and Adobe Application Manager (Max OS X)

Hi,
I am a resent new customer of the cloud (student and teachers) service. I have started encounter some minor but kind of annoying technical problems. Before I registered for a cloud account I was running the Adobe Master Collection (trial) version on my MacBook Pro (Mac OS X 10.8.2). I successfully completed the registration to cloud and began to download and updated the app's. It went fine, until I came across a small little problem with Premier Pro. I was trying to import a few *.MOV files for a uni video that I have to do over Xmas.
Instead of spending time trying to figure out the problem I decide to uninstall and download/install all of the app on the my cloud hub, just incase it was something to so with my pervious installations. I couldn't directly re-download the apps via the cloud hub, so I had to re-download another trial version. However, now I can not get the Adobe Application Manager to work, I keep saying "Download Error, Please try again" I have tried it load of time, but keep getting the same message.
Please Help,
Damien

Moshpit84 did you utilize the uninstallers located in Applications/Utilities/Adobe Installers to remove your installation of Premiere Pro?  Also what version of the Adobe Application Manager are you currently using?

  • Issues with CS6 and Adobe Application Manager

When trying to open an Adobe CS6 application, a crashing loop begins. The AAM opens and closes once per second in the Dock, along with the application I was attempting to open.  Because of the constant open and closing of these apps, it's almost impossible to get the mouse or keyboard to focus for enough time to do a force quit on either application, and a hard reboot is usually required to break out of the cycle. I had the entire suite uninstalled and reinstalled, but several weeks later, the issue resurfaced.

There was an issue with the serialization file created.
Creating a new serilaization file via AAMEE and running it resolved the issue.
Create a serialization file via AAMEE: http://wwwimages.adobe.com/www.adobe.com/content/dam/Adobe/en/devnet/creativesuite/pdfs/Ad obeApplicationManagerEnterpriseEditionDeploymentGuide_v_3_1.pdf
And then run it via command line.
    Here are the steps:
AdobeSerialization (serialization file created using AAMEE 3.1) is not a double clickable file. You need to run it via command line to serialize the products. the command line is -
    AdobeSerialization --tool=VolumeSerialize --stream --provfile=”Absolute_Path_of_prov.xml”
    where
--tool=VolumeSerialize:  specifies that the tool needs to process the prov.xml file to serialize.
--provfile” specifies the absolute file path to the prov.xml file,
By default, the tool looks for the prov.xml file in the same directory as the executable file and so
typically you do not need to specify this option. (Specify this option only if the prov.xml file is in some
    other location.)
Make sure you invoke command prompt with Admin privileges. Return code of zero means success.
Tiffany can you please confirm the same?

  • Please help! My CS6 won't open and Adobe Application Manager keeps popping up to renew CS Cloud subscription.

    Hi there.
I recently canceled my CS Cloud subscription about 3 weeks ago and went back to using CS6. I was using CS6 Creative Suite without a problem until 2 days ago. Now my CS6 programs (AI, Photoshop, InDesign, Acrobat) won't open. Instead the Adobe Application Manager keeps popping up to renew the subscription, see below insert.
I have chatted with Adobe customer support numerous times but when it comes to transferring me to their technical support, the chat mysteriously becomes unavailable. The only time the transfer went through, I was advised to remove CS6 Creative Suite using Cleaner Tool and reinstall, which I did but my CS6 still does not open and the AAM keeps popping up giving me the same message to renew the subscription. The AI/Photohop icons just keep bouncing up and down without opening while the AAM pops up.
What can I do to stop this annoying AAM from popping up and open my CS6? I just want my CS6 to open up again. Has anyone else experienced this issue? Please help!

  • LR3 and camera raw and adobe application manager

    Hi all,
I have LR3 and can't for the life of me find out in the documentation or on the website whether or not
    1. LR3 uses camera raw
    2. if it does, whether it gets installed automatically with LR3
    3. where it might get installed
    4. if necessary, how you have to install the upgrade (I get "adobe application manager required" error message, can't find that on the website either)
    HELP PLEASE!!
    Cheers, Bob

Although ACR (app) may not be necessary when using LR3, it is needed when you use services in Photoshop - such as "merge to panorama", or HDR. I'm constantly getting an error the latest ACR is not installed. WIth the release of ACR 6.2, I'm trying again and when I try to install it I get an error "Application Manager needed to update your product" then:
Adobe Application Manager is needed to resolve this problem, however it is missing or damaged. Download a new copy of Adobe Application Manager from Adobe.com, or install this product again.
The link (http://www.adobe.com/go/applicationmanager)  to the page is incorrect and returns a 404 error.
    Helpful.
I'm not albe to locate a link to download a copy of the Adobe Application Manager. Anyone know where that is?
So, I still can't install ACR because of this issue. Although this doesn't seem to be a LR issue specifically, accessing ACR from LR3 is significant to some of us.
    Suggestions welcome, and appreciated.

  • Help with N8 and Adobe Premiere?

Hi, I am using Adobe Premiere Pro CS4 v4.1.0.
I recently got a Nokia N8 and am now trying to edit the video recordings, but am having some problems.
The phone records at 25fps 1280x720 using H.264 MPEG-4 codec, with sound in Stereo 130kbps 48 kHz.
When I create a project and load the .mp4 file into it, the first problem I see is that it reads it as 500fps and the video is only a second or 2 long.
I  then interpret the footage to the correct 25fps, and the video then works fine. However,  the sound seems to not be there.
I've noticed that due to Premiere interpreting it as 500fps, it thus only plays the first second or two of the sound when left as 500fps and plays all the video in that second or two, and thus when changing to the correct 25fps, it is therefore only the two seconds playing over the entire minute of video.
I also  tried changing the file into other formats. The only other one that  kind of worked was .mov. It allowed the sound to work perfectly, the  video loaded at correct frames, however, when playing the video on  premiere, it then showed black screen for most of the clip.
Have  tried to find out about this online and installed a couple different  codec packs and media players, but nothing helped with this problem in  Adobe Premiere. However, the clip played fine in the media players, such  as RealPlayer.
If anyone has any advice on this, it would be  appreciated. I would prefer to fix this issue correctly rather than have to manually interpret or transcode the footage each time I want to edit it.
Btw, I also posted this question on a forum with Nokia N8 Users, and others also tried it out and had same or similar issues. They also tried on CS5 and it still didn't work.
*UPDATE* I just tested again to change the file from .mp4 to .mov by simply renaming it, and this time it loaded perfectly into Premiere. However, I have to do this on my XP computer, as my Windows 7 doesn't change the format of file by simply renaming it. Hence, I would still like help with getting it to recognise the .mp4 correctly though in the first place, rather than having to rename my files each time on the XP computer.

  • Lr6 and Adobe Application Manager

I upgraded to Lr6. After the installation I went and selected "update" in the help menue. In reply I got a box saying that Adobe Application Manager might be damaged, download the lagets version and reinstall, but not the reply that I already have got the latest version. When I download AAM and install it, I still get the same reply. What can I do now?

Yeah, that is what I have discovered. I'm working on the creative cloud, so Lightroom 6 integration is new to me. I suggest you try signing out from the application manager. You did this in the preferences. Then sign back in and see if that makes a difference.

  • InDesign and Adobe Application Manager

Adobe Application Manager gets lost everytime I exit from Adobe InDesign CS6. Why? Everytime I open InDesign again for another session, it will not load and will only give an error message that I need to install Application Manager when actually, I already have installed it previously on my computer.
    Please help. Thanks!

That still doesn't address what's causing the problem to begin with, though.
I don't have a lot of faith in AVG, but I haven't heard of anything like this associated with it. Any other background programs running? Any third-party plugins installed in any Adobe programs?
It might tell us something if you create a new user account and try running ID from there.

  • Why isn't the latest version MUSE CC 2014.3 updating in Adobe Application Manager?

Adobe keeps touting the latest fixes and enhancements for MUSE but it's not available through the Adobe Application Manager. And they do not provide a link ANYWHERE to download this version. I have a client file that I am unable to open because I can't access the latest version of MUSE - even though I have a CC subscription. What am I missing?

The key here being the 64-bit support ......

Intel Pentium 4 or AMD Athlon 64 processor (2 GHz or faster) with 64-bit support

Internet connection and registration are necessary for required software activation, validation of subscriptions, and access to online services.*
Adobe online services that integrate with Adobe Muse CC are available only to users 13 and older.

  • What updates is Adobe Application Manager trying to install

I'm getting the same behavior that CLS_SP reports (the zoom animation for application startup blinks onto the screen for half a second and then disappears). I am running 10.7.4, on a 16 GB MacBook Pro. I get the same results when I manually open /Applications/Utilities/Adobe Application Manager/core/ and double-click on "Adobe Application Manager.app". No entries related to AAM show up in Console.app in the system log.
Is there another way to tell which updates AAM is trying to notify us to apply, without using AAM itself?

Branching this to a new discussion as the previous thread was regarding not meeting the minimum system requirements for the Adobe Application manager.
The update for the extension manager can at least be found at http://www.adobe.com/downloads/updates/.  Which Adobe product do you have?  Do you have Creative Suite 6 or Creative Cloud?

  • I cannot get applications to update using Adobe Application Manager

One or two of the 9 applications needing updates successfully updated. The others fail after multiple attempts. About a year ago I was given instructions to remove the application manager nd download it again, but I have lost those instructions.
There was an Adobe tool used to remove the manager correctly and reinstall it, but I cannot find it.
If someone from Adobe is monitoring, perhaps he/she can help?

I just went through a most vexing chat session with Adobe support to try to resolve this issue. I had to ask for the support rep to follow case escalation procedures because the rep kept contradicting him/herself and created much confusion.
I am reconsidering membership renewal for Creative Cloud after this experience with support. I could not obtain a straight answer about issues with CS6 apps needing bug fixes and whether or not AAM is still necessary if running CS6 apps. Nor could I get an answer as to why the 9 apps that needed bug fixes miraculously show up in the new CC Desktop App as status "Up to Date". The updates failed every time I tried using the AAM, all we did was clean up some files by hand and reinstall the CC Desktop App. We made no updates to individual apps, yet they show "Up to Date" status.
If anyone else has experienced this and has a coherrent explanation then they are way ahead of Adobe support. I'd like to hear from you.
