Hi all. Think my Iphone4 is done....

Thanks in advance for any ideas or things i may have missed.
Here's my story, Verizon Iphone 4 dropped in the lake for 3 seconds, turned it off immediately and did the rice and setting in the sun thing for a couple days.
Phone fired up perfectly and worked without a glitch for two months. All of a sudden it went black and would only light the picture of the USB cable and tell me it needed to reinstall when plugged in to the wall. As soon as it was unplugged it would go black. When plugged into the computer it would also light up with the usb cable picture and itunes icon. Itunes would try and reinstall but ultimately end up with an error, usually 1611.
After some research I believed it was probably the battery causing the problem. Ordered a new battery, installed it and no change. I took a very close look at the charging port and saw some corrosion. Figured that had to be it and replace the charging port with a new part. No change.
I completely disassembled the phone and found absolutely no other evidence of water damage, even the white stickers were still white. Everyhting inside looked like new. I ohmed out the battery connecter and all is good there also.
I have tried doing all I can and using all the modes while trying to reinstall. I've tried two different computers and a known good USB cable.
It doesnt seem to me the battery is getting power or supplying power.
Actually I don't think it was damaged by the water any more, I believe it was a coincidence and the motherboard has failed.
Is there anything I have overlooked? or should try before I use this thing for target practice?

I appreciate the responses, this was a last ditch hope against hopes that I had possibly missed something.
I figured the warranty was void already due to the water intrusion so that's why I tore into it.
I just hate giving up on stuff I am trying to fix! But I guess this one has beaten me.

So I would think you're OK . The battery will need a charge but I don;t see any reason why there should be a problem as long as there was no water involved.

Hello Omar31,
It sounds like you are not getting notified when recieving a text message on your phone. I recommend starting by verifying that Messages is set up for notifications with:
Check Settings > Notification Center to ensure that the app is configured for notifications. If notifications do not appear in the Notification Center, verify that the Notification Center setting for the app is enabled.

If Messages is configured properly, try closing all the running apps on the phone:

Double-click the Home button.
Swipe left or right until you have located the app you wish to close.

There is also a good chance that the .avi is simply corrupt as often hapens with this format. I have often had .avis that simply will not open, no matter what program or converter you try using. It's a bummer, but being an older format, it is becoming more common.

If the QT file you exported was self-contained, then you can edit that later if needed.
To delete files associated with that project, open your scratch disc and locate the folders bearing that project's name. There should be a folder with that project's name inside these folders on your scratch disc:
Audio Render Files
Autosave Vault
Capture Scratch
Render Files
Also locate the Thumbnail Cache and the Waveform Cache folders; files for that project will also be located in those two folders, but not in their own named folder.
Move all of the above to the trash, then delete the trash.
Since the project file itself is relatively small, I recommend that you keep that one ... just in case you ever need to re-capture/re-edit.

It's telling you there's not enough space *on your 4S*. The 25GB you refer to is probably that on iCloud, that's different memory than that on your iPhone. You need to delete video, pictures, apps, or whatever ON THE IPHONE, to make enough room for downloading updates to your apps.

Deleting apps on your phone does not remove them from your account. They can be re-downloaded for free from the App Store, or synced from your computer as needed.
The easiest way to manage apps is to connect to iTunes on your computer, go to the Apps page of your device in iTunes, select which apps to remove, then sync.

In iTunes, try changing "album artist" tag to the same name for eack track,
also make sure that "track number" values are correct and different for each.
(select all songs of an album > lmb > get info)

I supsect you did the update on other than your syncing computer. If yu did the app, music and synced photo will not be on the iPod after the update since those items are not in the backup that iTunes makes. See:

The above applies to all updates performedvia USB on a computer. To get stuff back, restore from backup on the syncing computer.
The above in my educated guess since you provided litle information about how you did the update.

There are no robots here. Everyone here is a "real person", a user just like you. How about telling us what the problem is that you are experiencing when you try to buy a song? If you mean that you have forgotten your security questions, go to:
