Landscape:
The SAP System Landscape Directory (SLD) is the central information provider in a system landscape.

1) Without connecting your iPad to your laptop, start iTunes. Click on Preferences. Click on Devices. Check the box next to "Prevent your iPod etc. from automatically syncing." Click OK.
2) Now connect your iPad to your Mac and start iTunes.
3) When iTunes starts, right click on your iPad under Devices in the left column. Select Transfer purchases etc.
4) After it finishes transferring all your apps to your new laptop, right click on your iPad and select Backup your iPad.
5) After it finishes backing up your iPad, right click on your iPad and select Restore etc.
6) After it finishes restoring, left click on your iPad , then click on the Apps tab on top, and check the box next to Sync Apps, then click on Apply below.
If everything on your iPad looks good after the sync, go back and click on iTunes / Preferences / Devices and UN-check the box next to Prevent your iPod etc. The only other thing you may want to check is if your contacts, bookmarks, etc. are syncing correctly now. If not, go to the Info tab after connecting and make sure you indicate which features you want to sync with what sources.
Read this thread and the support links as well. There are apps that you can purchase that will allow you to transfer photos from the iPad to your PC. Look at Photo Transfer App in the App store and you can search for others as well.

Plant my G4's internal disk in new Mac Pro? Then what?
Hi all,
I'm debating how to transfer existing data on my G5 to my new Mac Pro. There are old applications & stuff I'd still like to access on the G5 but not gum up my new system. This is what I'm considering:
* Extract my boot disk from the G4 and install it in Bay 2 of the Pro & use it as a secondary drive, still bootable if needed.
* Transfer folders of data (documents, photos, etc.) onto the Pro's start-up disk.
As far as Mac apps like Mail, Address Book, iCal -- can I keep my old email on the G5 disk (as an archive, essentially) but transfer all my Mail accounts to the Pro's Mail app, then use that one for new email going forward? Can I transfer all my addresses & appointments into the new Address Book & iCal programs, or should I just copy the entire applications over?

Yes… you physically don't have to touch your G5 in any way.
Is it folly to try maintaining access to my current G5 disk on the new Pro?
Not at all. There are just better and worse ways to do it, especially with a PowerPC to Intel transition. You never know what type of issues you might come across. If you don't touch your G5 then you won't at least be caught short.
Should I just copy over my iCal/Mail/Address Book programs to the Pro to maintain all the data within them
No. Their preferences and data are located inside of your (other others) home directory. All you need to do is copy across the right data and there's nothing else to do. If you use use the Migration Assistant and do a data only transition there's even less to do. I would still prefer to do it manually so you don't copy more than you want to although it is far quicker this way. -

this is all greek to me. WHAT IS STARTTLS? On the first page of Apple set up there is a TLS certificate and it is marked NONE- should I change it to the long APPLE CERT option? The next page under ADVANCED: THERE IS A BOX SSL MARKED. Then IMAP Path Prefix - I put stmp.gmail.com.. is that right? Port 993 can use this one? as 456 doesn't work and 587 said it wasn't safe. Under AUTHENTICATION I used PASSWORD. Should I have used external client cert TLS?

I have a new iMac on the way and my current is from 2008, never had a problem but I am sure there are internal issues that I would prefer not to transfer.
I have no issues other then the slowness in certain programs and that is the main reason to buy a new one.
Programs like numbers and pages seem to take a longer time to open after I update to Yosemite.
I only use 272GB of 500 GB, my memory is 4GB and I am upgrading to 8Gb and bought the 4.0 processor.
Question:
Is there a way to manually transfer items or would that be a waste of time in that if there are issues they could be anywhere and would transfer anyway? -

Nevermind, I got it working.
I ended up extracting the new vob within MPEG Streamclip, which gave me an m2v and an aiff audio. I multiplexed those two back together in FFMpegX which gave me a complete VIDEO_TS folder with BUP and IFO files I needed. -
I have the iPhone 5s. I synced it with my Mac and got all the old apps from my old phone. I was not able to update any of the apps on the old phone and they will not update on the new iPhone 5s either! What can I do?

It sounds like you are wanting to update the Apps that were synced over from your computer to your new iPhone 5s. If you are clicking Updates in the App Store in the bottom right corner, would you mind clarifying what happens when you are trying to update them?

I just purchased a new laptop, so consequently had to buy Itunes Match to get all of my music back. Now everything is in the cloud, and I can't play them and cannot make a cd. Please explain how I can get my library out of the cloud and keep them on my computer so they are available when I want them? Wow.......why have you made everything so difficult now?

I changed my email address for my apple id but icloud still has old email adress and when I try to signout so I can sign in with new address it asks for password and then says invalid so I cannot delete the account to sign in with the new one! Please help
OK...now I appear to 'progressed' I changed my email address back to original on Apple id and then was able to delete icloud account. Apparently I couldnt do it as it kept requesting password when I entered passsword ( both old and new one, it wouldnt accept it as it had my old email address in ) It didnt do that on ios6 . Anyway I deleted account, but now I tried to login in with my new id/password and it says unable as already in use!!! More help needed please! Its a nightmare!!

I purchased an audiobook in Nov 2012 using iPhone 4S and then upgraded to iPhone 5 in Dec. Now I am not seeing the audio book in purchase history in iTunes. This means I am not able to get the book in my new iPhone. Please help.
Audiobooks are currently a one-time only download from the store.
