Because the camera on iPad was designed to accommodate Facetime. By the numbers, tells you why. The rear facing camera is 1.3 Megapixel. The front facing camera is .7 Megapixel. In contrast, iPhone includes a 5 Megapixel camera and if you haven't looked at point and shoot or DLSR camera's these days, they all start at 10 Megapixel. The reality is, iPad camera was never intended to produce camera quality pictures. In bright light it can take an acceptable picture, but in less than bright light, it is marginal at best.

If you resintall iTunes, it should fix the issue. The following document will go over how to remove iTunes fully and then reinstall. Depending on what version of Windows you're running you'll either follow the directions here:

Well if you don't have the laptop to get the storage drive out of it, and you don't have any previous backups how do you expect to get the photo's?
PhotoBooth is just a program, it stores the files on the computers storage drive, if the computer is lost so are your photo's.
There is nothing you can do to delete or retrieve them using your new computer unless you stored them online someplace.
DId you save them online? iDisk or something else?
I don't use such services because my data is mine and not theirs to snoop through, so if your looking for that sort of help I can't assist you any.

Songs containing DRM (Digital Rights Management) may not appear, or may appear grayed out in iCloud. This can occur if your computer is not authorized for playback of that content. Try authorizing your computer, then manually update iTunes Match.
To determine what Apple ID your computer needs to be authorized for, locate and select the song in your iTunes library.
Choose File > Get Info.
In the Summary tab, locate the Account Name field in the right column and write it down.
Click OK.
Choose Store > Authorize this Computer.
Type in the account name from the Summary field and its password. Click Authorize.
Choose Store > Update iTunes Match.

If you start Activity Monitor with All Processes select and the CPU tab clicked
Then click the small arrow to the right of the % to sort the process using the most CPU to the top
If you tell us which processes they are and how much is being use we might be able to help you

Why are the DNG files from my RW2 raw files are so large (37MB)?

I have a fairly new Panasonic Lumix LX5. I've recently converted a few files to DNG.
They're turning out to be @ 37MB, over three times larger than the original file.
I'm not embedding the original raw files in the DNG.
NEF files I convert from my Nikon D2x are around 9.5MB.
I'm running Mac OS 10.5.8, DNG v 6.6 and also use PS CS5.5 and Lightroom 3.0.
Any ideas??

I was using the DNG converter app.
I just tried converting a RW2 raw file by saving it in from the ACR window in CS5 with your recommended settings:
Compatibility 5.4 and later
Jpeg preview:medium size
without orginal raw file embedded.
This yielded a 9.7MB DNG file. Yeah!!
So I went back and tried a couple using the DNG converter app.
With compatbility set to 4.6 & later, the converted files are 37MB.
But with compatiblity set to 5.4 & later files are 9.7 MB.
This is the same when using either the app or from ACR.
So the difference here is the compatiblity setting.
Does anyone know why this happens??

Why is the album art from our iTunesU site not downloading with the content?

Recently, the album art from our iTunes U site has not been downloading with the content. We have tried downloading content from other pages and we get the album art, but when we download out own content the album art does not download with the files. The art appears in the iTunes store so there should not be a problem with the files. Any idea why this is happening? First check that all your settings are correct, that calendar syncing is checked on all devices (system preferences > iCloud on a mac and settings > iCloud on a iPhone, iPad or iPod).
Make sure the calendars you are using are in your 'iCloud' account and not an 'On My Mac', 'On My Phone' or other non iCloud account (you can do this by clicking/tapping the calendar button in the top left corner of the application ), non iCloud calendars will not sync.
If you are sure that everything is set up correctly and your calendars are in the iCloud account, you might try unchecking calendar syncing in the iCloud settings, restarting your device and then re-enabling calendar syncing settings.

You are checking the PDF in Preview, please look it at Adobe Reader/Acrobat. Preview is not a recommended soft-proofing application.
Also, check you PDF export settings, it seems the images are being down-sampled. To know better, export the PDF with "High quality presets" and then check.

Why are the network shows from 11/12 not available yet?

Both CBS and ABC shows from 11/12 are not on ON DEMAND yet. Normally they are posted by Friday night or Saturday... is anyone else having this issue?

I was wondering what happended to ABC comedy shows like Modern Family. I could have sworn I saw it there last week, but it was an episode from October. Now I dont see the comedy shows at all.
It seems like the VOD is very inconsistent....

Why are the Java plugins required by medical systems not allowed to be re-enabled, which would allow medical facilities to continue functioning?

The problem with the most recent blacklist is is that the health care industry is behind in technology. Many medical systems are old and require older versions of Java to function. The blacklist has caused countless facilities to lose the ability to order life saving medications. Even my tech support desk has been bombarded with calls about this for the last 2 days. What can be done to allow these older versions of Java work within Firefox and restore facilities back to full operation?

What Mozilla did was put a softblock on it, which means that users get a notice that he plugin will be disabled, and give them the option of enabling it. To enable it:

# Beside Java, click '''Enable'''.
If the Enable button is not available, the blocklist must have been updated before Mozilla changed it to a softblock, instead of a hardblock. In which case, do this:

# Click on '''Open Containing Folder'''. That should open your profile folder in Windows Explorer.
# Close Firefox.
# In your profile folder, delete the files '''blocklist.xml''' and '''pluginreg.dat'''.

At some point after that, you should then get the blocklist prompt again, but this time the option not to disable it should be there.
But I really can't stress this enough: those versions of Java are being '''being actively exploited''' and the latest version is not vulnerable. If there's any chance you can use the latest version of Java with the medical systems, that's the way to go.

Why are my pictures taken with my iphone not syncing to iphoto

Up untl a few months ago, I was able to sync the pictures and videos I took using my iphone to iphoto on my mac. This is no longer the case. Can anyone please tell me how I can fix this. I even tried to go the image capture settings, but there are no options on the left for me to choose from. Help me, please. Thanks in advance.

I had the same problem, after a long discussion with Apple one of their engineers came up with the bright idea of restoring from the original backup via WiFi rather than connecting to iTunes by USB. This should give you a pretty good idea as to whether the photos are there in your backup file, as for instance it said uploading 22 of 863 photos for me, left it overnight to restore from backup via WiFi, restarted the iPhone in the morning and all of my photos had been restored. I have since backed up all photos to a very helpful Dropbox "Camera Uploads" update.
To restore from iCloud via WiFi, on your device:
Open Settings > General > Reset > Erase All Content and Settings
Wait for the device to restart, input Time and Date Settings and Connect to WiFi.
Log in using your Apple ID and select Restore from iCloud Backup. (Ensure it is the iCloud backup with all relevant photos).
Leave device to Restore overnight and restart in the morning!

Why are the .PDFs and collections on my iPad not on my iPhone

I have several .pdf's and policy manuals on my iPad iBooks however only the Titles are on my iBooks on my iPhone - I have checked tha Syc and the iCloud settings.???

I am using the same Apple ID and the Apple iCloud. Your reply indicates that the documents must be downloaded to both the iPad and iPhone and that if you only download the document to one device it does not automatically appear on the other device - as is with book for example. Am i understanding this correctly? in the iBooks settings what is the "Sync Collections" ?
