I just bought a nano and am trying to sync to itune on my mac. It tells me I need the latest version of itune. When I try to download this it tells me I need a new OS. I have updated both and my nano still will not sync. Any suggestions?
Numbers documents from iOS need Numbers 3.2 on a Mac to open. And Numbers 3.2 requires Mavericks. If you are using Mavericks you can get Numbers 3.2 from the Mac App Store. It will be free IF you have Numbers 2 (iWork '09) installed. Otherwise you must buy it.
Your other option is to send the Numbers file as an Excel file via e-mail to yourself to open with an earlier version of Numbers. -
Cannot open indd file in CS5.5? "Please upgrade your plugins to the latest version or upgrade..."
I refer to a similar forum post here - http://forums.adobe.com/message/4081971 - which outlines a similar problem with opening a file.
The difference is the file I can no longer open was created using Adobe indd CS5.5 and I am opening it with Adobe indd CS5.5. I have never had this issue previously. The only change is to a new OS on Mac - Version 10.8.2. Error message says "Cannot open "File name" please upgrade your plugins to the latest version or update to the latest version of Adobe" - I know there is CS6 but why should I now need to upgrade suddenly?
Can anyone help here? I can forward a link to the file in question if needs be.

You could do so by using a ExtendScript (Adobe's version of JavaScript) written by Jongware.

If the problem is due to a corruption of plug-in version information, I fear you have no chance other than:
1. Update CS5.5 to the latest bug-fix version => 7.5.3
2. Download a trial version of InDesign CS6, open and export the file to IDML and re-open it in InDesign CS5.5 (though this might not work for a corrupted file)
3. Try to open the file on a different machine
Are there 3rd party plug-ins involved? If so contact their makers…

I cannot open iPhoto. The error reads: "You can't open your current iPhoto library using this version of iPhoto.

Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Rebuild iPhoto Library Database from automatic backup.
If that fails:
Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. This will create a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums and keywords back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one. .

Every time I download the latest version of 3.6,13, there is a message telling me my computer is no longer protected (my security tells me everythiing is okay) and to download the newest version. I have already done this twice and would like to know if there's something I'm doing wrong. I've downloaded before and never had this problem
You already have the latest version of Firefox and don't need to updated it. The problem is that your Firefox version information has been locked at ''2.0.0.16'' by the EGAMES extension. Please look in the Applications for the most up-to-date version of Numbers. I suspect you got a free upgrade to OS X Mavericks and also updated your iWorks apps. If that is correct you have two versions of number on the computer, you cannot open a new file with the older version of Numbers, this is what I am guessing you are attempting.

I don't recall it being so difficult to upgrade Safari on my computer. I have Windows Vista and I love Safari! But every where I go it is telling me that "this site is not supported by your current browser, please upgrade"
No problem. Except it is! I use to be able pop over to Apple and upgrade but now it only gives you the choice to upgrade a Mac. Please don't tell me that I can't use Safari any longer on Windows Vista.....I knew someone was going to ask me why I still have Vista! My computer works great with no problems! I have had this HP Mini for over four years and not one problem!

When I opened Firefox today, when I clicked to watch a video, it told me that I needed to upgrade to the latest Adobe Flash which I did. That did not solve the issue.
