It sounds like you're running Lion?
Have you tried running Verify and/or Repair Disk?
Have you tried running Repair Permissions?
Do you have at least 15% free space available on your HD?

I want to know how to have my tabs save when I close Firefox. I did what was suggested in the FAQs section, but all my tabs disappear every time I close Firefox, whether using the "exit" command, or the "X" button. This was the very reason I never updated to the new version previously, but had hoped that the problem had been addressed and upgraded, now I'm stuck with having to reopen every tab every time I open Firefox. Used migration assistant to set up new Macbook pro from old macbook pro. Many "profile" problems.
Will not even open "System Preferences" for user whose profile info was transferred. (Will for "Administrator")

How can I shut off the automatic login when I turn on my MacBook Pro?

Ever since I updated to Yosemite I have been forced to enter my password whenever I turn on my MacBook Pro. I went to System Preferences/Users & Groups and see that the automatic login option is set to off, but it is shaded and I can't use the dropdown menu, even though I've unlocked it.
Is this a common issue? Am I just going to have to get used to signing in every time? I'm the only one who uses it, and it's a little annoying.
I've tried searching for help in the discussions and also on google, but I'm not finding any answers.

Did you turn on FileVault when you upgraded to Yosemite? If it is on then a login password is required (sort of obviously). You can tell whether it is on by going to Apple Menu > System Preferences > Security & Privacy and click FileVault at the top and see if the words "Turn off FileVault" are in the button. I'm the only one who uses my Mac also, but the remote possibility of it being stolen makes it worth it to me to have FileVault turned on and a password required. We won't know until you try the procedure. The reset will not affect the content of the iPod.

It sounds like you are constantly needing to restore your phone because it keeps going into recovery mode. Usually putting a device into recovery mode and restoring it can help isolate an issue to your iPhone hardware if an issue persists afterwards. I would try manually putting it into recovery mode and restoring it 1 more time:

If that does not resolve it the symptoms indicate to me that it is a hardware issue causing this to happen and would seek service for it:

Since I upgraded to iTunes 11.01 the "Smart" playlists feature no longer works. I can CREATE the list but, the songs that I have played don't accumulate in the list. I haven't changed the steps that worked for me previous to the upgrade. I have no idea

Click on a station and drag to the left. The playlists sidebar will open up. Drop on the playlist you want to add to.
