Place the device in DFU mode (google it) and restore as new.

I can't find an option in iTunes to restore to a previous backup. I know I have done this one time before when we got a used iphone 3G at one point and I was able to go back and install his old data on the new phone. Now it is only coming up as my phone in itunes and it recognizes his phone as my phone even though his number is still saved on there. Any thoughts or suggestions? I know this has to be possible I just think I'm not looking in the right place.
Syncing does not backup photos.
Backing up only backs up the photos taken with the device but is not a solution to maintaining you precious photos.
It is the user's responsibility to copy the photos taken with the device off the device to the computer. Same goes for videos taken with the device.
Media on the device has never been included in a backup.
Sorry, but if you've lost the device (or it's been stolen) and you've failed to manage your data on the device, it is gone. -

iTunes will not recognize my iPhone 5s. I need it to, so I can choose the sync via WIFI. Plus, I am unable to download iTunes by just using WIFI and my iPhone 5s. I checked the Computer Manager areas and the settings appear correct. My laptop runs on Windows 8.1.
Version 11.1.5.5 of iTunes was just released today. If you update to that, does that help with the recognition troubles?

I restored my phone on iTunes, but when I did, all my info deleted and now it's my sister's old data. I tried to go back on iTunes and restore, but my original data isn't even an option. How do I get my old data back?
Before you did the resotore Via itunes you should of made a Back-up of your Data. But to be honest, i don't think that you would be able to get that stuff back.. Sorry mate

After i updated my itunes i plugged my phone into my computer and my itunes will not recognize it. I have restarted my computer, restarted my iphone, deleted a ton of data off my phone and computer, and uninstalled and reinstalled itunes but none of these things have worked. Suddenly, Itunes will not recognize or sync my iphone or my shuffle. Got message that Apple Mobile Device was shut off. Tried multiple times to restart, start etc from services. Then reinstalled itunes entirely. And still get APple mobile device still not started.

Help! When I connect my iphone or ipod touch to my computer, windows recognizes my device but itunes will not. I can still see my songs, videos, and access the itunes store but my phone and itunes store have no connection so it does me no good. I have for 2 days now tried every trouble shooting method posted with no luck. I think I may have finally found a lead. My Apple Mobile Device USB Driver is showing up under portable mobile devices while it is supposed to be showing up under universal serial Bus controllers from my understanding? Also, while running my diagnostic report under itunes it also says itunes is not running in safe mode, it is not showing enabled in windows firewall (which it is checked), and the HDCP is not supported. I don't know what to do? I am in tears here, someone please help!!!
