I tried that but on my iphone i can only click on my email and my number is checked but its in grey doesnt allow me click on it and on my Mac, its the opposite, my email is checked but in grey so doesnt allow me to click on it. im realy confused

I have an email account causes the machine to hang up after being in use for a day. It only occurs on my Macbook Pro and only one particular account. The problem account works fine on my iMac and Windows Machines. I have been to the local Genius bar and through trial and error we have determined that Mail is working ok but somehow the account is causing the problem. I have used this account for years. Any ideas what is causing this?
No idea why, but one thing you may try if you have the time, is create a new user, and set up the problem mail account in the new user space. See if it causes your MBP to hang as well. That will tell you if it is something wrong with your main User, or something wrong with MBP.
Assuming this works, I'd nuke the problem account in your main user space, re-start, and reinititate the account and see if that helps.
Depening on how many email accounts you have setup, it may be necessary to nuke the whole Mail folder in your User/Library.... Hard way to get it to work, but just my idea. -
Ever since I updated my iPhone 4S and my iPad 2 to IOS 6 all my iMessages are coming to both my iPhone and my IPad. How do I stop the iMessages I send and receive on my phone from receiving on my iPad as well? I have tried going into my settings and making sure I'm only set up to receive iMessages to my cell number and not my email....but that didn't fix the problem.
Here the way to do it, for both, or for only one Go into your settings, Messages and turn on iMessage. It will then send messages that are iMessages to both your iPad and iPhone. You can also turn off this feature on the iPad if you do not want to receive messages on the iPad.

The Mac IIci is not even powering on at all. Tried again with wih a tested power cable and no luck.
I think it's best that take this issue to the Older Hardware Community. Not only did I see a fair number of replacement parts for the IIci avaiable online, but there also vintage external floppy drives as well. I'm not giving up.

How do I stop the tools/sign/comment bar appearing in Adobe reader?
Hi,
everytime I open Adobe Reader XI (Windows 7) the tools/sign/comment bar appears. It takes sometime to load as it presumably connects to the internet.
I do not wish to use any of these functions (some of which are only available with a subscription).
I close the group by clicking the tools pane and it goes away, increasing the screen area available.
I don't want to have to close this everytime (nor do I want pdfs to always open full screen).
Is there an easy way to permanently stop the tools/sign/comment bar appearing?

ElliePat you are correct as I am able to Enable Automatic prompting for file download in the Internet security Zone of IE and then this will automatically prompt for the file download. I am trying to determine if there is a way to have all PDFs open automatically without lowering security for all downloads. On my personal device a PDF from a site will open in browser without either of these prompts. I do have IE9 on my PC however the other PCs are still stuck on IE8. In my troubleshooting I did notice that the Active X for Adobe PDF Reader is listed under the Run without Permission, but is not in the All add-ons section. This just seemed odd to me.

How do I remove the cloud TV shows from showing on my phone running ios7.0.2? I download tv shows from my computer, but there are so many cloud TV shows cluttering my screen that it's hard to find the ones I downloaded. Why can't we delete these from our phones like we can hide them in iTunes?

In case someone else stumbles across this thread: my "random" boing noise was caused by Skype: Preferences -> Notifications -> Event: Contact Becomes Available. Since that can happen anytime you're signed in, and there's no "obvious" message/event, it's hard to pin down. -

How do I stop the annoying little box from appearing?
Adobe Flash Player is requesting permission to store information on my computer. It appears in a square on my screen at will. It shows two choices which include: ALLOW or DENY (In either case, it is requesting viewing my information)
It does not accept DENY! I can not get this box off the screen, which interferes with work, while I am speaking with a customer, and not able to continue typing. How do I release this box, or stop it from appearing. I don't want to give permission to spy. I work with the public, their information is personal. Even when doing my own creative work, I don't want to give permission to spy.
Please tell me what I can do.

For example, when you go to a website regularly, it may welcome you by name; your name is probably stored in a cookie, and you can use browser options to determine whether you want cookies or not. You may also have specified in your browser that pages you visit can take up only a certain amount of disk space.
When SWF or FLV content is being played, the settings you select for Flash Player are used in place of options you may have set in your browser. That is, even if you have specified in your browser settings that you do not want cookies placed on your computer, you may be asked if an application that runs in Flash Player can store information. This happens because the information stored by Flash Player is not the same as a cookie; it is used only by the application that runs in Flash Player, and has no relation to any other Internet privacy or security settings you may have set in your browser.

If you don't want to let applications from this website save any information on your computer, and you don't want to be asked again, select Never. Note that applications from other websites may later ask to store information on your computer. If you don't want applications from any website that you haven't yet visited to store information on your computer, and you don't want to be asked again, use the Global Storage Settings panel.
If you want to let applications from this website save information on your computer, but you want to decide on a case-by-case basis for each application, move the slider to the far left (None). Each time an application from this website wants to save information on your computer, you will see a question asking for more disk space.
If you want to let applications from this website save as much information on your computer as they need to, move the slider to the far right (Unlimited).
If you want to let applications from this website save information on your computer, but want to limit the amount of disk space they can use, move the slider to select 10 KB, 100 KB, 1 MB, or 10 MB. When sending an email I used to be able to click on a distribution list in my contacts and it would add all the email addresses, I now have to add each email address individually and this takes a lot of time. Could someone tell me how I can add a distibution list/group to my emails?

I just typed the name of one of those groups in the To field on the iPhone's email, and received:
Invalid Address
"<group name>" does not appear to be a valid email address. Do you want to send it anyway?
I clicked continue and it remains in my outbox.

While using my MacBook Pro the Launchpad just randomly pops up. I've tried everything I can think of including turning off all of the hotspots. It started out just every once and a while but now it does it all the time and many times while I'm working on something else. Please help!
Remove LP from the Dock. That should solve the pop up problem.
