hi, I was about to reset my iphone3g when I accidentally selected erase all contents and setting. It was stucked with the iphone logo, so i tried to fix it by restoring all my datas in iTunes. I was able to successfully fix it but when I inserted my sim card it says that simcard not recognized. I tried all the solutions in the net but nothing seemed to work. What should I do? I'm located here in the Philippines. I hope you could help. Thanks!

I know. I was with my brother when we did this. He didnt clearly understood the question that poped-up. Regarding the simcard, after successfully restoring it on itunes my simcard won't work. I'm not able to send and receive calls and messages.

I have had the same problem with iPad recently not too sure why it happened but if you are completing a full reset anyway the easiest way is the restore via itunes on your computer and then set up a new passcode again. Resetting via itunes doesnt require a passcode so it should go straight through.

Have you tried connecting the iPad to your computer and using iTunes to restore to factory settings? These are the basic steps.

All I can recommend in thsi Apple forum is to Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes.

You were hoping to give the iPhone away right, which means you aren't worried about preserving data?
If that is the case, plug the iPhone into a computer with iTunes, if doesn't automatically ask if you want to restore the iPhone then we need to put the iPhone into forced recovery mode.
You can do that by keeping the iPhone plugged in and pressing and holding the sleep/wake button (the top button) and the home button (round one with the square in it) together until you see an apple logo. Once you see the apple logo let go off the sleep/wake button but keep holding the home button.
Once iTunes says it's detected an iPhone in recovery mode you can let go off the home button and then just restore the iPhone as new.
The added bonus of restoring the iPhone as new means you get rid of any software faults the iPhone may have.

I choosed "erase all content and setting" in order to make factory reset on my iPhone 4 iOS 6. After click confirm key to erase all content and setting its showing a progress icon that moving on the middle point on the screen........I don't know how long it take to complete. Its already took 8 hours but still not complete.......

I had this same thing happen to me. I was using my brand new iphone 5 (texting and listening to music through the speakers) when it flashed the apple logo, stopped my music and brought me to the lock screen.
