Hi I was in the procces of uploading photos from my phone three days ago as i have an important art project to finish today. I have tried to restart my computer log off come back on but every time i put my phone to the computer and press up load photos its comes up with "Photos are baeing import to photo library- please wait for import to complete".
There are 90 photos and this came after it uploaded a few - can you help me - i have tried to quit iphone but this keeps coming up and i need these pics imported from my phone to my computer.

I have tried turning off iclowd and other things that would automatically upload photos but that still didnt work. I can not upgrade my computer because it wants to restart the computer, but iphoto stops the shut down process. It says I need to wait for the download to complete. I cannot close or import or any function to iphoto. I have been getting the same message for many days "Photos are being imported to the photo library. Please wait for import to complete." I do not know where the photos would be importing from. How do I get it to proceed?
After Force Quitting, as LarryHN recommended,
Select the iPhoto Library in the Finder. By default it is in your Pictures folder.
Ctrl-click or right-click the iPhoto lIbrary. Select "Show package contents" from the panel, that will pop up.
Look for a folder named "Importing" or "Import". Remove this folder, but don't touch anything else.
Then launch iPhoto again.
If iPhoto now is working again, check the folder you removed, if there are any photos that you want to keep and save them. -

Force Quit the app. It's under the File menu.

Welcome to the Apple Community.
To begin with, I would like to try to explain Apple's confusing nomenclature in regard to iCloud.
Apple have called the whole cloud thing iCloud, there are a number of features under the iCloud umbrella, some of which require their own login. iTunes is one of these, another is what Apple have unfortunately also called iCloud.
You can use the same Apple ID (account) to login to both iCloud and iTunes, but you don't need to and often users will login to each service using a different ID.
The part that you need to remember is that the services available when you log into iCloud are completely different and unrelated to those when you log in to iTunes. Your iCloud login enables mail, contacts, calendars, find my phone, Back to My Mac, Documents & Data sharing and photosstream, it does not affect any of your iTunes services.
To avoid confusion when discussing your problem, when I mention iCloud, I am referring to the services under the iCloud login, Whereas I will refer to the whole cloud thing as The Cloud.
Pin order to share photos using photostream you need to log into the same iCloud account on both devices, videos are not included in photostream, but other third party apps such as Dropbox and video stream for iCloud can share video between your devices. -
I have 3 songs that will not download and the volume of error messages from Itunes about these "3" is annoying. I know my way around Itunes but cannot find a way to delete them and stop these Itunes download error messages.

I also got a response from Apple who said that there was a problem related to fonts and the encryption.xml file
Once we'd removed this we were able to upload the epub no problem.
It's odd that the system seems to say that all is okay when it isn't. We have to rely on guesswork rather a lot using iBook Producer.
Anyway, all sorted now and thank you again for your contribution.

I have created an additional user on our iMac and have tried to set up file share but nothing happens. I have an empty desktop and only the applications that came with the computer appear. I'd like to have access to the others that we've purchased... Aperture, excel, etc. I've followed the instructions for file sharing but I must be missing something.

You are over complicating things. File sharing has nothing to do with what applications that each user has access to.
To me it sounds like you just need some basic help getting the applications that you need onto your dock.
Try this:
Login to you new user account
Click on an empty part of your desktop
Click on the "Go" menu and select "Applications"
A Finder window should open showing ALL of the applications on the Mac.
Double-click one of them that you will use frequently (e.g. Excel)
Once it is up and running you should see it's icon down on your dock.
Right-click that icon on the dock, then select "Options", and "Keep in Dock"
Once you have added each application to the dock in this manner, then it will remain there even after you quit the application.
For one more expert way to launch any application on your mac quickly, try this:
Hold the [command] key and hit the [spacebar] (this will start a Spotlight search)
Start typing the name of the application you want to run (e.g. "Aperture")
Once you see "Aperture" selected, simply hit the [return] key and Aperture will launch

I purchased an audiobook in I tunes on my computer, but cannot figure out how to download it on my phone....it always lets me download purchases of movies and tv shows but doesnt show an option for audiobooks
Oh alright -- I manage to resolve my own stupidity quite abruptly, actually.
Shortly after posting this, I annoying took another gander at iTunes Store settings. To my own idiocy, I must have unchecked "Show iTunes purchases in the cloud" at some point. In my defense, though, the availability of songs in iCloud threw me off quite a lot.
Ha ha -- anyways, if anyone else is having the same problem, check there. -
i have lost my iphone 5 the day before yesterday,and have tried many ways to find it, but in vain. i wandered if there are some useful solutions to such kinds of issues, because lots of people have similar terrible experiences. in china many people have lost ihones, which means you also expose all of your information you have saved in iphones. this is dangerous,because criminals can take advantage of those information. i think apple should talke more measures to stop the thieves from using apples so easily.

Flip the ring/silent switch on the left side of the phone from silent (red showing) to ring position.

I do the usual connections of camera to iMac to download photos to iPhoto. All looks normal until the iPhoto page comes up showing the photos that are being transferred BUT the "import photos" button doesn't work. The letters do not turn black. Like the process is stuck somewhere.

Hi.
I recently bought a £15 ituens gift card for my partner. Since she is not too savvy with itunes, I went on to her account to redeem it for her. I scratched off the panel and entered the code into the correct box on itunes and was told "the gift certificate or card you have entered has already been redeemed".
I took the card back to Morrisons Supermarket in Guiseley where I had bought it and was told that since Morrisons only sell gift cards on behalf of iTunes and receive a commission, that they could do nothing and I had to take the problem up with iTunes.
Well, dealing with iTunes is no easy thing. I finally found what I thought was the right area on the website and was directed to send an email. I did this, but the chap I got through to seemed to think I had a problem with my iTunes software or that I didn't know how to redeem the card. I tried my best - over several emails - to get through to him that the problem was with the gift card code and that they may have been hacked. It would be very easy for them to find out that a) I wasn't the one who had redeemed the code and b) who the culprit was due to the fact they would know whose iTunes account the code had been credited to. I got nowhere, the chap sent me a link to "account security" and told me to phone them even though it was not possible to get a phone number from the link he sent me.
So, I got back in touch with Morrisons customer complaints and basicaaly told them that as far as I was concerned they were selling faulty goods on behalf of another company and that they should at least try and help me out with iTunes. I have since received an email from Morrisons asking for all the details of the card so they can look into it. iTunes - meanwhile - have stopped replying to my emails and I am now being completely ignored by them.
Has anyone else had this problem or does anyone know where I stand and how I can either get my money back or get the funds put on to my partners iTunes account?

I dutifully un installed Itunes because of some conflict, I now find I cannot re-install Itunes because the old Itunes is on some other drive that do not know of, what do Ido now
For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. The notes should get you past porblems uninstalling the old version.
Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down page later if you have trouble after reinstalling in case one of them applies.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.

Why does my screen go to inverted colors when I touch certain areas of the screen?
Whenever I touch my screen in certain areas (the right hand upper corner, or the back) the screen does this wierd inverted color thing and then goes back to normal. It's freaking me out!
