hi itunes wont install windows error 2 keep popping up what do i do?

For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down page in case one of them applies.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.

itunes wont install, runtime error R6034 also 'apple mobile device' wont start! help!

Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features (later)
Remove all of these items in the following order:
    iTunes
    Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support (if this won't uninstall move on to the next item)
    Bonjour
    Apple Application Support
Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.
The uninstall and reinstall process will preserve your iTunes library and settings, but ideally you would back up the library and your other important personal documents and data on a regular basis. See this user tip for a suggested technique.
    Please note:
Some users may need to follow all the steps in whichever of the following support documents applies to their system. These include some additional manual file and folder deletions not mentioned above.

  • ITunes wont open (Windows Error 998)

iTunes was working fine and then it wouldnt open up and it would say "iTunes was not installed correctly. Please reinstall iTunes. Error 7 (Windows Error 998)" I would reinstall it but i don't want to erase all the music off library. Anyone know how I can keep my songs on iTunes and reinstall it. Thanks

(French) I think (because I did it oft) that your music will stay in your files and wenn you'll re-install itunes, your music will come back automaticly... But I have also this problem, I had re-install iTunes a lot of times and it's always the same... I can't open iTunes

  • Itunes wont install getting error 2330

for some reason my itunes started acting up, started when i tried updateing to itunes 10.0 it said it couldnt update asking to verify if i had access to a certain file (dont remeber exactly which file since it was few days ago). so i tried manualy uninstalling itunes with add/remove and it didnt remove anything so when i tried to reinstall itunes i get the Error 2330 . my itunes only works if i go to the file itself in My program files or plug my iphone in, but when it comes on it says i cant import or burn CDs ect due to itunes wasent installed properly...so what do i do?

sound like the installation file did not download correctly. Re-download and try installing iTunes once more.

  • Itunes wont install windows 7

I have windows 7, I've been able to download the latest itunes verstion but can't install it.  I've tried running as administrator and multiple other fixes to no avail.  Is there anything that I can do?

Leverman12, I've managed to download ITunes10.5 through www.techspot.com using Internet Explorer 8 as stated in another thread. Don't know why this worked & the Apple site doesn't. I've still got the problem of AppleMobileDeviceService.exe using 99% of my CPU. Give it a try.

  • I upgraded to iOS8.1.3, and now when I attempt to backup my iPad to iTunes for Windows, it keeps popping up an error message

    H. I upgraded to iOS8.1.3, and now when I attempt to backup my iPad to iTunes for Windows, it keeps popping up an error message "not enough space on the computer". There is over 130Gb of space! I have updated iTunes, but no change. Is it an issue in the iOS update? Or am I doing something wrong?
    Would appreciate your guidance...

When you upgraded, itunes should have put a copy of the itunes library database in a folder named *Previous iTunes Libraries* . If you upgraded itunes today it will show as
    iTunes Library 2010-02-28.itl
Use these directions to get it back
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1967
Since I am not sure of your setup, look for the "Previous" folder on both your C: and F: drives.

Ok, Below is what worked for me somewhat.
Okay ... try downloading and saving a copy of the iTunesSetup.exe to your PC from the Apple website:
    http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
Now download a trial version of WinRAR:
    http://www.rarlab.com/download.php
Open the iTunesSetup.exe with WinRAR, and try to run the standalone install of Apple Application Support from the AppleApplicationSupport.msi you find in there.
It works now BUT there are still problems.  It is not allowing or recognizing my Cd/DVD player and i CANT burn.  Looking still for this fix.

  • Ok so I cant open my Itunes due to Windows Error 2 and the message says to uninstall and re-install Itunes but I'm pretty sure that would wipe the library right? Is there any way to fix the problem and keep my library?

    Hi neffn!
I have an article for you that can help you go through that process of uninstalling and reinstalling iTunes. If you have Windows 7, you will want to see this article:
Removing and reinstalling iTunes, QuickTime, and other software components for Windows Vista or Windows 7
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1923
and if you are using Windows XP, you will want to reference this article:
Removing and Reinstalling iTunes, QuickTime, and other software components for Windows XP
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1925
Note that, as it says in those articles:
iTunes Store purchases or songs imported from CDs are saved in your My Music folder by default and are not deleted by removing iTunes. While it is highly unlikely that you will lose any contents of your iTunes Library when following these steps, it is always a good idea to ensure that your iTunes library is backed up. If you're unsure how to backup, see iTunes: Back up your iTunes library by copying to an external hard drive.
Thanks for using the Apple Support Communities. Have a good one!

  • Cannot install itunes. get error message program RSVCR80 not installed. windows error 126.

cannot update or install itunes. ger error message RSVCR80 not installed. windows error 126.

    Hey sndlot,
Follow the steps in this link to resolve the issue:
iTunes 11.1.4 for Windows: Unable to install or open
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS5376
When you uninstall, the items you uninstall and the order in which you do so arearticularly important:
Use the Control Panel to uninstall iTunes and related software components in the following order and then restart your computer:
    iTunes
    Apple Software Update
    Apple Mobile Device Support
    Bonjour
Apple Application Support (iTunes 9 or later)
Important: Uninstalling these components in a different order, or only uninstalling some of these components may have unintended affects.
Let us know if following that article and uninstalling those components in that order helped the situation.
    Regards,
    Delgadoh

  • Treloaded.  Getting a message "iTunes not installed correctly"  Error 7 Windows Error 998.  Removed and retried install got same message??????

Trying to install iTunes on my XP machine after the operating system was reloaded.  Getting a message "iTunes not installed correctly"  Error 7 Windoes Error 998.  Removed and retried installgot same message??????

This can sometimes indicate that one of the other itunes-related software components is damaged. (Usually Apple Application Support, but there are other possibilities beyond that.)
Perhaps first try a complete uninstall/reinstall as per the following document:
Removing and Reinstalling iTunes, QuickTime, and other software components for Windows XP
Does that get you past the 7?
