Hi, my phone was stolen a few days ago and just a few days ago the phone was online and it automatically locked itself since I've put it under lost mode and the thief probably switched off the phone immediately so that I cant locate it. Is it possible for me to have the last known location where he/she turned on the phone so that I can track it down from the last location? Thank you
Correct.
The only way to locate/disable/erase any lost/stolen iPhone/iPod Touch is through Find My Phone or a similar app. However, this requires that Find My Phone be setup/activated, on your phone, before it was lost/stolen. You would then login at iCloud.com & try to locate it. This requires the phone be turned on & have an Internet connection. There is no other way to locate a lost/stolen iPhone. Apple can't/won't help you, nor will your carrier. Report the loss to the Police, your carrier & Insurance company. Change all of your passwords.
If your carrier offers Blacklisting & they Blacklist the phone, it will be unusable as a phone.
If locked with a passcode, and running iOS 7.0, then phone cannot be activated or the passcode removed without knowing your Apple iD/Password. It will be nothing but a useless paperweight.
If not running iOS 7.0, the phone can be forced into recovery mode & restored.

My Macbook was stolen a few days ago, says it is locked
My macbook was stolen about 5 days ago, along with my ipad. As soon as I discovered they were gone, I tracked them using Find my iPhone but they both show up as offline. The weird thing is that the computer says it was locked Monday evening before I even got home. Does this mean the thief somehow locked my computer? It is still showing up on my app using my Apple ID to sign in. The weirder thing is that the computer does NOT show up if I log into my Apple ID on a computer to find the serial number. I have called Apple and they say that maybe it is linked to a different Apple ID, but I even logged out and back in to Find my iPhone and it still shows up on that list. So theoretically it is still linked to my Apple ID.
I had a password for logging in to my computer, but not if it was just closed and then opened, which I assume would have been the case. There is a slight chance that the computer would reset itself (it is fairly old, 2008 but updated to Mountain Lion) and then prompt for a password. Would an incorrect password entered several times have locked out the thief?
At this point, I would have just chosen to erase the computer remotely, but since it is already showing as locked, this option is not available to me. I was able to set my ipad to erase if it ever comes back online.
Anyone out there have any ideas as to how the macbook was locked?Welcome to the Apple Community.
if you are referring to your data being safe, then a screen lock will likely be enough to protect it, if not and you are relying on remote wipe by wifi, then of course it's always possible the thief can acces your data by turning it on and not connecting to wifi. -

I am running a Ipod Nano think it's 3rd or 4th generation, when I had windows seven the ipod would be syncing fine with my iTunes, not that windows has updated windows to windows eight, I am now experiencing problems with my ipod syncing to my iTunes. It recognises the ipod but will not allow me to access it or change the music on it. I have followed all the More Info steps from the box that appears on my iTunes, I now am at a loss as to how it will ever work again, so I am stuck with the music on my ipod until I can change it. You need to "authorize" the Mac.
Launch iTunes on the Mac then from the iTunes menu bar top of your screen click Store > Authorize This Computer.
Now, using the same Apple ID as you used to purchased iTunes media originally, you should be able to sync all your content.

I've had no luck finding it . I ALWAYS have it in my back pocket in school , but someone got smart and decided to take it . I kind of narrowed it down on who stole it , well... not really. I have a passcode on it ... Is it possible that Apple can still unlock it for them ? I really want it back cause my parents are low on money.. Anyways thanks xx
No. However, all they have to do is place the iPod in recovery mode and restore via iTunes. That erases the iPod and sets it up as a new iPod. There is no way to find it or prevent anyone from using it.

When I use find file http://www.macupdate.com/app/mac/30073/find-file (which does tend to find files that "Finder" can't), it's not coming up with any other itunes library files that have been modified in the past week, which I know it would have been - unfortunately, I don't have a very recent backup of the hard drive. It would be a few months old so it wouldn't have the complete library on it....any ideas? I'm wondering if restarting the computer might help but have been afraid to do so in case it would make it harder to recover anything...I was looking at this thread https://discussions.apple.com/thread/4211589?start=0&tstart=0 in the hopes that it might have a helpful suggestion but it's definitely a different scenario.

What happened? My earpods were working fine. Even with other devices. But when I plugged it into the ipod nano 7g, it didnt work. It was fine a few days ago...
Oh never mind. Small piece of tissue was stuck in the jack. Prevented it from working.

I lost my iPhone a few days ago and I put it on the lost mode. I don't want to give up looking for it. If a person stole it, is there a way for them to get into it or is it locked? I don't want to give up!!! But if there is a way that they could get in and take over my phone with a new number without me deactivating the iPhone and activating a different phone with my number.
lost mode don't depend of the sim card. If you take your Iphone on Lost mode... anybody can use it with the original card sim or with an other one.
Did you try to localise it ?
But hope that thief don't make a restore of the Iphone... Call your Mobile Operator to try to block the IMEI Number. -
I downloaded a ringtone a few days ago and iTunes charged me twice which I am not happy about, not only that I didn't receive the ringtone.
