hi i am trying to get on to my mirco soft word and there is a question mark placed on it. when i try to open the app it wont.

An iTunes gift card can only be redeemed once, you can't enter and redeem its code again. Since you redeemed the card you haven't bought anything (including IAPs and auto-renewing subscriptions), and your account doesn't show a balance ? You've tried logging out and back into your account and seeing if it shows then ?
My account's balance shows at the top left of the store's page on my computer's iTunes, and by logging in to view my account via the Store > View Account menu option. On my iOS devices it shows at the bottom of, for example, the Featured tab in the App Store app under my account id (or you can view your account via Settings > iTunes & App Stores and it should show on the screen that you are taken to). If the balance is zero then it might not be shown. -
I plugged in my brand new nano to my husbands desktop to get it registered, but had a problem mid way through when I tried to used an apple login that already existed. Now it's not registered and the computer won't recognize my device. How do I fix this?

I am trying to open a MPEG video clip using Quicktime and it wont let me, keeps saying a codec is required. So I click on tell me more, have downloaded Quicktime 7 on numerous occasions thinking this was the problem, and it still wont let me open in. Really confused! Can anyone help???

I'm trying to use my iPad mini for the first time with a previous apple ID and password but it says "iTunes is not working try again"...it allowed me to download an app on my iPhone using the same apple ID & password but all my apps are in "Waiting Status" on my iPad mini because it says "iTunes is not working"...PLEASE HELP ME NOW!!!

i am trying to use dual monitors when editing with FCPX. I have a macbook pro and an apple cinema display monitor. I have connected them and opened Fcpx but the option to use second monitor is not active! what do i do ? please help going bonkers!

I didn't used my iPad 2 for many months. Last week when I tried to use it, it wasn't charged. Then I put it on charging and again didn't used it for a week. Yesterday, When I tried to use it again it's saying that it is disabled for 22 million mins. I treid to restore it by connecting to iTunes but it's not restoring. Kindly Help.
Thanks for that. Much more constructive than the last comment. It's only the restriction code I can't recall, not the access passcode. So I can currently access the device, just not age restricted content. Does that's make a difference? I also wondered if anyone knew how many attempts you get to try to get it right. Now tried 21 times and so far nothing bad has happened but I am concerned I'll eventually be completely locked out of the device. That doesn't seem in the spirit of things though. Surely it's foreseeable that a child could repeatedly try to guess the code so I can't see that it would be right to lock the device down completely in that circumstance, particularly if the access code is being typed in correctly every time.

Tried to use iphone connecting to wifi but failed dispite password correct, cable connection ok, and even reset network setting in iphone. Anyone can help?
Kin ChiI get in now with the following procedures taken:
1. Reset network as suggested in Apple app.
2. In the wifi connection, instead click in the user name as shown in the screen, I click Others and re-type the user name as appeared before. In the security, instead of none, I click WEP. It will then prompt you to put in password. I then put in password as I know for that user name again.
Then, it joined the wifi..
Hope this can help someone who get this problem.

when i try to log onto firefox it wont let it open sometimes and if it does when i try to use it the broadband stalls or freezes but i can have an IE window open and its working ok
That's strange. It's possible that you are having a problem with some Firefox add-on that is changing your Firefox's normal behavior. Have you tried disabling all add-ons (just to check), to see if Firefox goes back to normal? Also have you tried uninstalling & re-installing flash? If you need help un-installing Flash see http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/uninstall-flash-player-windows.html. You also could try safe mode. Trying to restore after getting a new hard drive. I can see the backup on the Time Capsule and on the correct date but it is Greyed out. That is it wont let me open it and restore the machine. Have tried also Migration Assistant, no luck.

At startup hold down the Command+Option/Alt+r keys until you see a globe on the screen. Then use disk utility to partition and format the drive HSF+ and then select Reinstall Mac OS X. whatever version of OS X that originally came on your system will be installed and then you can upgrade back to Mavericks. -
My laptop opened with a grey flashing file folder with a question mark inside it . How do I open my laptop! I have tried force closing several times and restArting nope ! nada! Suggestions?
That folder with the question mark icon means that the MacBook can't find the boot directory. That can either mean it can't find the hard drive or the Operating System data on the hard drive is somehow corrupted.
With 10.4, 10.5 or 10.6 put your install DVD into the optical drive (CD/DVD drive) and reboot. Be sure to either use the disc that came with your Mac, or, if you installed a later Mac OS X version from disc, use the newer disc. As soon as you hear the boot chime, hold down the "c" key on your keyboard (or the Option Key until the Install Disk shows up) until the apple shows up. That will force your MacBook to boot from the install DVD in the optical drive.
Or if you are running 10.7 Lion, 10.8 Mountain Lion or 10.9 Mavericks, boot from the recovery partition (Command +R on boot) and use Disk Utility to repair your OS 10.7, 10.8 or 10.9 partition.
When it does start up, you'll see a panel asking you to choose your language. Choose your language and press the Return key on your keyboard once. It will then present you with an Installation window. Completely ignore this window and click on Utilities in the top menu and scroll down to Disk Utility and click it. When it comes up is your Hard Drive in the list on the left?
If it is, then click on the Mac OS partition of your hard drive in the left hand list. Then select the First Aid Tab and run Repair Disk. The Repair Disk button won't be available until you've clicked on the Mac OS partition on your hard drive. If that repairs any problems run it again until the green OK appears and then run Repair Permissions. After repairing use Startup Disk from the same menu to choose your hard drive for restarting from your hard drive.
If your hard drive isn’t recognized in Disk Utility then your hard drive is probably dead. -
hi , i have a 4th gen ipod touch and it runs on 4.3.5 but it wont let me update it to 5.1.1! everytime i try to install it..it says "sorry your network timed out" and wont let me! i tried so many times and it still wont work.. what to do?

I Have an Ipad 3 and it wont let me open the screen,it just comes up with 'This machine has not been backed up for so many weeks' and when you prsss ok nothing happens, its just locked out ,. Any Ideas ??
Have you tried a reset ? Press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider if it appears), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

Is there a way to have the use of what we used to call "Macros" which would be a key you could hit where you have installed a word, phrase, etc that you type repeatedly? By this I mean if, while on line, you repeatedly type out the phrase "Thank you very much for your attention to this matter"....you could hit a key (like maybe F5 or something similar) that would automatically type this phrase out so you don't have to type it over and over and over again.
