Hey,
As Balamurugan said,that is also a way to do this.
But jquery increses overhead for just small thing.
So put something like this in your <head> section of master page
<style>
.s4-help {
display: none !important;
</style>
This is the easiest way to do this :)

Display Doc ID with Link to the Property page in SharePoint 2010

Good Morning.
I have been asked to add the DocID to the search results. Part two is to have that docID link to the property page for the item.
I have added DocID to fetched property's and can display it fine on the page but I am having problems creating the link to the property pages.
can anyone help?
So far I am trying to do this in the searchcoreresults XSL.
I would like the format of the DOCID to appear like this.
[ DOCID ] with the Hyperlink to take you to the item property's page.

According to your post, my understanding is that you wanted to display Doc ID with Link to the Property page in SharePoint 2010.
SharePoint indexes Document IDs as a managed property by default, which means that with a little magic, we can add the Document ID into the search results.
We need to modify the XSL so that we display the Document ID in the search results.

Hide the expansion icon on a jtree.

I need to hide the expansion icon (the "+") on a jtree.
I tried to use DefaultTreeCellRenderer and the L&F options, but they hide all of the "+" icons of the tree. I need to hide the icons depending if the node has no-leaf icons.

you can change the property of common section view attribute. which is default in month. if u use input date component , i think you can overcome your problem..

That is set in the remote control policy under the general tab. There is a
check box to check if you want the icon showing or not.
Remember that if you have policies set to users AND workstations, that the
policies may conflict. It will all depend on how you have them scheduled.

By investigating the page source, we can see that the Ribbon is corresponding to the <div> whose id is “s4-ribbonrow”, the Top Navigation is “zz17_TopNavigationMenuV4”,
then we can change the style these two elements to hide/unhide them.

How to change the date format of Sharepoint 2010 to dd MMM yyyy

I am looking to change the datetime format with in the modified column from mm/dd/yy to dd MMM yyyy. I dont want to create calculated field with dd MMM yyyy format. I want the actual modified column value to be represented as dd MMM yyyy format.

I created SiteDefinition through visual studio in Sharepoint 2010, after deploy in sitedefinition.

Feature Stapling is the great way if the site definition is already in use (and sites have been created).

Xperia T - Is there any app which can hide the menu icons at the bottom screen

I use the Tab for handwriting notes. However, it is impossible not to touch the bottom icons with your wrist. When you do, you are returned to the home page. This is terribly frustrating when you are unable to complete a note without constantly switching beck to the home page.
The manual shows the three icons on the left of the screen which would help to solve the problem. How can I get my icons to move to the left? (or somewhere else - or disabled). I don't want to root the tablet just to achieve this!

I guess you mean Xperia tablet Z and not Xperia T?
In an earlier Android version (4.1) the soft keys where located in the left corner. In Android 4.2 the soft keys are located in the middle instead.
It is not possible to hide the soft keys as standard in Tablet Z and I'm not aware of any app with that functionality.
What are your thoughts about this forum? Let us know by doing this short survey.

How to copy and paste the solution files of SharePoint 2010 from one machine to another machine?

I was working with SharePoint 2010 in one of my Virtual machines.Now that the lease for my Virtual Machine is going to expire, I want to shift the entire contents of the project to another machine (local) with SharePoint 2010. Also, I want the pages
in the other machine to be editable.
How can I copy the solution files to the other machine? And I want the exact path where the files are located, so that I can shift them to the other machine.

...that's not a good approach.
Deploying customisations can be as simple as files being copied onto the file system. Most of the time however there is a lot more happening behind the scenes and simply copying the files won't work.
Also that is assuming that you mean solutions rather than the pages themselves (or the contents of document libraries) in which case you want to copy databases, not just files.
SharePoint isn't a simple thing to move, you may need to look at this a bit harder.

You could accomplish your requirement by using jQuery with these steps, and this code is using jQuery to modify it on the current page, if you would like to make it work on all library, you need to choose the former method or add this JQuery script on all
library pages manually:
Upload a custom icon to file “14\ Template\Images” or your SharePoint document library.
Add this code below in the document library that you want to extend your custom icon, you could add code by following these: Click edit page in the document library -> add a web part -> choose Content Editor -> click edit source in the Ribbon ->

I need to reset Firefox, but the Help icon (first step) does not appear in the Menu.

I am attempting to reset Firefox (for Linux/Ubuntu 12.04 LTS), which has gone a bit wonky... but following the procedure, the first thing is to select "Help" (icon "Question Mark) and proceed from there. Unfortunately, there is no help icon displayed in the choices as it is shown on the Firefox website.
It's rather like trying to find a corner in a round room.
As an aside, amongst the problems I am experiencing, is the appearance of green, grey, and black rectangular boxes in the browser window. Visually, it is like the text that usually appears there is being "masked" or something.
(Perhaps) A propos of nothing.. this seems to have happened on the heels of a regular Ubuntu Update.

Is there a way to hide the Safari icon?

I have some good web filtering software for kids, but it doesn't work with Safari. So I want to remove the Safari icon from their accounts (without making a seriously restricted account.) All I want to do is hide the icon, not remove it because the web filter software will likely include Safari in the near future.
What I don't want to do, so please don't suggest it: I don't want to use the built in parental controls for Safari because it doesn't work like I want it to. I also don't want to set up a seriously restricted account for the kids - I want them to have "Standard" user privileges.
Suggestions?

If you really want to do that, be aware that Safari would be invisible to everyone, not just the kids. Even so, you'd need to login as the Admin user and use a tool like Super Get Info to change the visibility setting for Safari. After that's done, you would need to remove the Safari icon from the Dock of each account for your kids; otherwise they'd still be able to run Safari, even if they can't find it.

Tree component - can I declaratively hide the disclosure icon

I have just started working with the tree component. Within the data model that I am working with, I've got branches that may or may not contain children. The child nodes are lazily fetched (which is good, for performance), but this results in the tree not knowing if children exist until the disclosure icon (the arrow) is clicked. This means that when the branch contains no children, the user has to click the arrow, and the arrow just disappears without anything on the tree changing. Because of the nature of the legacy data model that I am working with, I actually have an attribute that indicates if children exist (and I could have created a formula based attribute if no such indicator existed in the data model). I would like to be able to check this attribute (via EL or some other method) and suppress the disclosure icon if no children exist, but I have not found a way of doing it. Is this possible?
