Hierarchy authorization details show only last level

Hi,
I am facing on a hierarchy problem displayed on the Bex: The hierarchy has 9 levels, e.g. the organisation structure of the company from level 1 to level 9.
I made from the transaction RSSM :
Authorization from the hierarchy i entered for each level from 1 to 9 :
Type of authorisation : 1 (subtree below node)
Hierarchy level       : blank
Validity period       : blank
Node variable default value : blank
I made from the transaction PFCG :
Created a role for the user with the authorization :
Sap Business information warehouse - reporting (RSR)
value : 8055 (company code)
Unique ID for authorization : level_3
I need to authorize the user to execute a querry of his level (exemple level 3) and all the level below him (to the 9th level)
When the query is generated,(the query is using a variable hierarchy ) I get the lowest level displayed and shows only 2 key figures and values.
Any ideas ?
You assistance will be appreciated.

Hi,
How to get only the last level in Oracle SQL Hierarchy Query?Depending on your requirements:
WHERE   CONNECT_BY_ISLEAF  = 1
I hope this answers your question.
If not, post a little sample data (CREATE TABLE and INSERT statements, relevant columns only), and also post the results you want from that data.
Explain, using specific examples, how you get those results from that data.
If you can show what you want to do using commonly available tables (such as scott.emp, which contains a hierarchy), then you don't need to post any sample data; just the results and the explanation.
Always say which version of Oracle you're using (e.g., 11.2.0.2.0). This is always important, but especially so with CONNECT BY queries, because every version since Oracle 7 has had significant improvements in this area.

  • Possible to Have ToC Default to Show Only Top Level (collapse sublevels)?

    Howdy!
    I'll bet I'm not the only one wishing for this.  Let's say you're using Captivate 4's Table of Contents feature with a longish movie of Cp slides, which is chunked into bite-size sections content-wise.  In the ToC, though, you can't mimic that same organization scheme; at least, the learner would first need to collapse all the ToC folders you've created so they see only the top-level listing.
    This can be a critical issue:  keeping the at-first-glance list in the ToC brief enough to be inviting to learners, yet allowing learners to drive which details are currently visible.
    A movie's topical hierarchy could be along these lines, for example ...
    Section 1 - National Brands
    What are National Brands?
    Why Are They Important to Our Business?
    Working with Nat. Brands
    Practice Your Knowledge
    Section 2 - International Brands
    What are International Brands?
    Why Are They Important to Our Business?
    Working with Intl. Brands
    Practice Your Knowledge
    You'd like to organize the ToC to show only the section titles (1st level) and to suppress the 2nd-level detail (slide titles) until the learner chooses to expand the folder to see those details.
    I've tried things like grouping the slides into sections in the Storyboard view and organizing the slides into sections strictly within the ToC -- both to no avail.
    Has anyone solved for this need yet?
    I'm all ears, and you'd be doing learners of the world a huge favor.
    Thanks!

    Hi, Jim.
    Thanks for being 'on the case' and looking into this so quickly.  Your
    findings are encouraging, although my user base is generally working with
    IE 6 and FP8 or 9.
    Since the only thing I may influence is getting  IT to help push out FP10,
    I'm hoping it's more of a player- than a browser-version issue.
    I'll test things out by Monday and let you know the results.  Wish me luck!

    Dave,
    I just tested this on my local web server and it worked fine.  I created a
    blank project with 8 slides.  Created my TOC with grouping... 2 slides in
    each group.  I turned on self paced learning.  I tried with and without the
    widget and it picked up where I left off in either case.  See

    I published using FP10 and IE8 to view.  Notice any difference between
    your project and this one?
    Thanks,

  • How to make the report shows only top level steps

    HI,
    I use many subsequences in my tests.  I have no interest to see them in the report.  How can I force the report to show only top level steps?
    Thanks
    Rafi

    I needed to prevent 'Skipped' steps from appearing in my reports.  One way to do this is to override the SequenceFilePostResultListEntry callback in the model.  You do this by clicking on Edit and then Sequence File Callbacks and then find SequenceFilePostResultListEntry in the list and click the Add button.
    Edit your new callback in your sequence file to check for a pre-condition.  In my case I checked for Parameters.Result.Status == "Skipped" since that parameter is set to Skipped, Done, etc. based on the result.
    If the condition was true then my only step in the callback was to set Parameters.DiscardResults = True.  The TestStand model will then throw that result away when it processes the report.  You could add a step for every type of data you wish to discard.
    A second method that is easier to implement, but time consuming, is to select each step you DON'T want in your report and bring up the Properties for that step.  Under the Run Options tab, deselect the Record Results box.  That will keep the results of that step out of the report, but you have to do this for EVERY step you don't want to have reported.  The first approach I provided acts to filter the results.
    If you aren't sure what the Parameters.Result.Status will be, then set a breakpoint after that step is executed and scan the parameters when the sequence is halted there.  You can then detect the actual text used as a result for that step, such as "Done" and can set your pre-condition appropriately.

  • Modify Chart Legend Data Behaviour to show only lowest level of drill

    I have a chart with a legend in OBIEE 11g.
    When I click on chart data or legend it drills to the next level of the hierarchy which is what I want.
    However the legend show all levels of the hierarchy in the legend data like this:
    "Level 1"."Level 2"."Level 3".
    This is very cluttered and redundant as Level 1 & Level 2 are the same for all items.
    What I want is that it only shows the lowest level of a hierarchy that has been drilled to eg.
    "Level 3"
    Is it possible to do this? I've already tried the user guide, on this forum or on google search.
    Thanks in advance.

    Not sure its doable out the box,
    You could hack the popchart JS files I guess, John Minkjan's blog describes some changes , in particular on mouse-hover activity but they should show where to start.

  • Authorizations BW: Show only data authorized instead of authorization popup

    Hello World!
    I am having troubles setting up authorizations in BW queries:
    Some users only have authorizations for seeing some 0salesorg at roles, but when they execute a query, instead of showing only data related to their sales organization a popup appears saying that they do not have authorization enough.
    The objective is that all queries behave as if data from all other sales organizations did not exist!
    Any idea on how to solve this issue? thanks in advance!
    Adrià

    I already solved my problem.
    Asking around in my job somebody told me that this is an expected behavior called "all-or-nothing", meaning that if you only have authorization for some of the data you requested none will be shown.
    The only way I found to simulate the behavior I was trying to achieve has been using two variables, the first one is normal and ready for input, the user will fill this one in the query selection, the other is a customer exit which will be filled with all values in authorizations in case the first variable is empty. Authorizations values are found in tables.
    hope this helps anyone with my same problem
    PD: thanks to both for answering.

  • Best way to group data and show details of only last result in group

    Hi All! First off, just letting everyone know that this is a great place to explore and learn Oracle - I've learned more here than I have in some classes. Just exploring the forums and searching for an answer leads me to functions that I hadn't otherwise known existed.
    Here's what I'm looking to accomplish now... let's say I have a table that holds family information - if two or more persons are related in a family (determined by a separate table) then it should return the person identification and then the details of the group.
    For instance, the following data is contained in two tables, the current result follow and then the result I'm looking for...
    PERSONS TABLE
    PERSON         PERSON_ID           ADDRESS
    John Smith     101                     1 Oracle Drive
    Jane Smith     102                     1 Oracle Drive
    RELATIONSHIPS TABLE
    PERSON_ID      RELATEDPERSON_ID
    101                 102
    102                 101A simple query would result in the following:
    WITH PERSONS AS
      SELECT 'John Smith' AS person, 101 AS person_id, '101 Oracle Drive' AS address FROM dual union all
      SELECT 'Jane Smith', 102, '101 Oracle Drive' FROM dual
    ,    RELATIONSHIPS AS
      SELECT 101 AS person_id, 102 AS relatedperson_id FROM dual union all
      SELECT 102, 101 FROM dual
    SELECT
        person
      , address
    FROM  PERSONS p
    JOIN  RELATIONSHIPS r ON r.person_id = p.person_idRESULT
    PERSON      ADDRESS
    John Smith      101 Oracle Drive
    Jane Smith      101 Oracle DriveI'm looking to generate the following result but I'm not sure how to accomplish this... I'm confident it's something simple.
    DESIRED RESULT
    PERSON      ADDRESS
    John Smith
    Jane Smith      101 Oracle DriveNotice that the address for the related family members is not displayed until the last family member is returned. It would repeat this process for each family.
    Thanks everyone for any help you can provide! 11g

    If you find something that you try to adapt, post a link to it. Seeing the correct way to adapt it can be very instructive.
    essentially, if I can determine what relatives a person has, then I can create a unique "FAMILY_ID" for them - once I have that, it would appear as though I could then use the FAMILY_ID to group their addresses and other info together.
    The problem I'm having is that if a RELATEDPERSON_ID is linked to a PERSON_ID (PERSON_ID linked to RELATEDPERSON_ID works great), it assigns them a new FAMILY_ID rather than including them into the correct family.
    Here's my sql
    WITH PERSONS AS

    SELECT       col1
    ,       DENSE_RANK () OVER ( ORDER BY  MIN (relative)
    ) AS family_id
    FROM      got_relatives
    GROUP BY  col1The result I expect is:
    COL1   FAMILY_ID
    102     1
    106     1
    101     1
    105     2
    104     2
    I suspect that whatever you copied originally had the PRIOR keyword somewhere in the CONNECT BY clause.
    Here's one way to do what you want:

    Pete Smith 1 Oracle Drive         106        101
    John Doe                          104        104
    Jane Doe   10 Oracle Drive        105        104Obviously, you don't have have to display all the columns I displayed above In your first message, you said you wanted only person and address. In your last message, you said you only wanted person_id and family_id. Change the main SELECT clause any way you wish.
    I used the lowest person_id in each family as the family_id. You could use DENSE_RANK if you really wanted to have the families numbered 1, 2, 3, ..., but I suspect you don't really care what family_id is, as long as all the members of the family have the same value.
    You relationship table has some symmetrical relationships, such as
    SELECT 104, 105 FROM dual union all
    SELECT 105, 104 FROM dual union alland some asymmetrical relationships. For example, the only relationship involving person_id=106 is
    SELECT 106, 101 FROM dualthat is, there is no mirror-image row:
    -- SELECT 101, 106 FROM dual union all   -- THIS IS NOT IN THE SAMPLE DATAI assume there is no significance to that. As long as 101 and 106 appear on the same row, they are in the same family, regardless of which is the person_id and which is the relatedperson_id.
    So the first thing I did above was make sure all the mirror-image rows were represented. That's what all_relationships does.
    The next sub-query, got_relatives, is probably what you meant to adapt, but you left off the PRIOR operators.
    Got_family_id actually does the grouping, and also computes r_num to determine which is the last member of the family. Only that family member's address will be displayed in the main query.
    You could combine got_family_id and the main query; you don't really need a sub-query for that. It would be a little less coding, but I wrote it this way because I think it's a little easier to understand and maintain.

  • Nav pane showing only 2 levels of headings

    My top 2 heading levels, which show correctly in the Nav Pane are standard Heading 1 and Heading 2, but my third level is one I made up, Head3. I don't know whether that is responsible for the Nav Pane omitting the third level. I have three TOC's, one for
    only level 1, one for levels 1 and 2, and one for all three levels. These look ok.
    More clues: 1. Rt-ck on an entry in the Nav Pane and choose Show Heading Levels, set it to All. Makes no difference.
    2. If I change some of my Head3's to Heading 3, those do show in the Nav Pane. But until today I had my Head3's showing too.

    Modify your Head3 style so that its "Outline level" is set to 3. In the Modify Style dialog box, click Format, Paragraph; you'll find the "Outline level" option on the Indents and Spacing tab.

  • JPopupMenu showing only last JMenuItem

    Hello,
    I have a strange problem with JPopupMenu - only 1 JMenuItem (last one) is shown in the menu although there are 2 of them there.
    Menu is created by following sequence:
    JPopupMenu popup = new JPopupMenu;
    JMenuItem item1 = new JMenuItem();
    item.setText( "ft" );
    popup.add( item1 );
    JMenuItem item2 = new JMenuItem();
    item.setText( "m" );
    popup.add( item2 );
    Menu is activated (shown) after a button is pressed in the code called from button ActionListener:
    // parameter is ActionEvent aEvent
    popup.show( ( Component ) aEvent.getSource(), 0, 0 );
    popup.pack(); // does not affect the behaviour, if omitted
    // dubugging: trying to make sure menu has more than 1 element
    MenuElement[] elems = popup.getSubElements();
    for( MenuElement elem: elems )
    System.out.println( elem );
    The code works, menu appears, but only with last item.
    The debug printout shows, that menu has 2 elements:
    javax.swing.JMenuItem[,0,0,0x0,layout=java.awt.BorderLayout,alignmentX=0.0,align

    Don't show us bits and pieces of code. Show us a demo program of how you are creating and attempting to show the popup menu. The code you post may not be related to the problem.
    Also, don't forget to use the "formatting tags" so the code retains its original formatting.

    Anybody have an idea how could this be done?
    Any help will be appreciated.

    Hi,
    I am not sure if we can do a load via flat file into 0CCA_O01. If yes, please create a flat file containing hierarchy authorization details and load it to 0CCA_O01.
    If not, we can create another DSO for hierarchy authorization.
    I hope it should solve your problem.

  • Clear IDOC creation when only header level changes are made ME22N.

    Hi All,
    when the PO is  on changed in the header level only(for example header texts and header code)  and when we execute RSNAST00 one BADI getts triggered which checks if the Item category is 9 and  badi will clear the IDOC creation.
      If the PO item category is = 9, the IDOC must not be created. This badi works fine if the changes are made at
    1)at Item level
    2)both header level and Item level
    In case of 1 and 2 we have both header segment E1EDK01 and item segments E1EDP01.As a result it checks for the item category in the item segment.so idoc is not created.
    3)BADI is not working when the changes are made at the header level only. The IDOC is getting created even though the PO has the item category as 9.
    I found in this case only header segments are availble while debugging and the item segments are not there to check the condition for the item category.
    Please any one can suggest me possible solutions to  clear idoc creation when only header level changes are made ME22N.
    The BADI used is as below.
      DATA : lwa_data TYPE edidd.
      DATA : lw_dp01 TYPE e1edp01.
      DATA : lwa_control TYPE edidc.
      CHECK idoc_control-rcvprn = '3PL' AND idoc_control-idoctp = 'ORDERS05'.

    Hi all,
    Is there  any way that I can get the item category details when Only header level changes are made to the PO in ME22N and only header segments are available in the IDOC.
    Is this possible:- Fetch the po number and item category details from ekpo table that matches with  the header segment po number and then check for item category value  to clear the idoc creation?
    Any information is helpfull.

  • Showing only a particular level from a hierarchy on a report

    Hi,
    I'm creating a crystal report on top of a BW Bex Query.
    In that BEx query I have a hierarchy on Profit Center with 6 levels, where the first level is the Area, the second one the Country, the third one is Plant, ...
    In my crystal report I only want to see the Areas in a table together with some key figures.
    If I use the Profit Center characteristic on the report, I get all values existing in the hierarchy, so not only the Areas, but also the countries, the plants, ...
    How can I manage to always see the Areas only?

    With Lync Server 2010, by default, the contacts from federated domains are added as External Contacts.

  • Custom Drill from the last level of Hierarchy

    I have a dimension hierarchy STAGE which has five levels L1 -> L2 -> L3 -> L4 -> L5
    and my fact table have 5 measure columns say M1 , M2 , M3 , M4 , M5 along with the dimension columns .
    My requiremetn is to show only the top level hierarchy and one measure column initially:
    L1 -- M1
    now user have to drill from L1 to L5
    L1 L2 M1
    L1 L2L3-- M1
    L1 L2L3--L4-- M1
    L1 L2L3--L4--L5-- M1
    by default when the user comes at the last level of hierarchy or the hyperlink to drill futrter gets disabled.
    Now my requirement is to show the detail report when the user comes at the last level and the there should be a link on it. when the user will clink on the last level link it should open below report :
    L1 L2L3--L4--L5--D1--D2--D3--D4--D5--M1--M2--M3--M4--M5
    D1-D5 are other dimension columns which are connected to Fact Table.
    Any suggestions??

    Navigation is also a problem here since the column is coming coming runtime(after drill).What i told u is to use the navigation option insted of drill. So you need to create five reports each one for the particular hierarchy. and set the navigartion target as next level report in the hierarchy. Yes it is not the optiumum solution. But if you dont want the other two solutions given above you need to go with this only.
