Hoe to edit Word, Excell and Powerpoint documents

Hello
I had installed the BlackBerry Device Software 4.5 on my BlackBerry 8310 and would like to know how to edit Word, Excel and Powerpoint documents.
Can I edit files that i sent from the computer to the device memory card and then send it by email.
Thankyou
sluizoliv

Hi there!
If your BB came with the DataViz ToGo apps, then you can indeed do what you desire. Check under (usually) Applications for Word-to-go, sheet-to-go and other ToGo apps. You can edit a file you save to your device or media card memory. You can send them as attachments. Etc.
Hope that helps!

  • Just installed Lion and now my Word, Excel and Powerpoint no longer work. What can I do to open all old documents?

I just installed Lion to my Powerbook that I purchased in October 2010. My Microsoft Word documents no longer open and my Mac version of Word, Excel and Powerpoint no longer work. What can I do to open all old documents?

    Upgrade to Office 2011.
You must be running Office 2004, which was designed to run on PowerPC Macs.
PowerPC apps would run via "Rosetta" on Snow Leopard, but with Lion, Apple has finally pulled the plug on PowerPC apps.

  • WORD, EXCEL, and POWERPOINT now crashing when saving new file

I have Microsoft Office 2004 WORD, EXCEL, and POWERPOINT, which were working just fine for several days on 10.5.1. (all updates are current). Now, every time I try to save a new document, all 3 apps crash, with the following thing in common in the crash log:
    0xb80ec881 gettimeofday_wrapper + 37593
This doesn't happen when opening an existing file, and saving changes to it. Note: A few days ago, I ran Disk Utility to do a permissions repair for another issue - could this have caused this issue?
    Any ideas???
    Thanks,

I just fixed my own issue, based on a posting I saw in one of the other discussions. I did the same thing, by downloading the standalone update and then installing. After the required restart, everything worked fine!!! It seems like there was definitely a problem with the version that was installed via Software Update.

  • How do I port my Windows Word, Excel, and Powerpoint files to the MAC?  What software is needed on the MAC to use them?  Thanks.

You can certainly use iWork, though I hesitate to recommend it to a seasoned Windows user simply because it would add another level of the unfamiliar with which you would have to gain familiarity. The iWork applications are certainly very competent and in most respects both easy to use and surprisingly powerful. They are not 100% compatible however, though that typically manifests itself in document formatting issues rather than anything more significant.
I have never attempted to import emails from a Windows system into MacOS - other than in Outlook connected to an Exchange server, thus not really an issue at all. I doubt that the Mail app in MacOS can import directly, but of course you could always set the account(s) up on the Mac and then forward emails you want to keep from the PC. Not elegant, but it works. Virtually any Windows document or file, whichever application created it, can be opened or converted for use on a Mac, and using both systems on my desk each day I rarely see any issues switching stuff from one machine to the other. You may stumble over one or two issues, but likely not significant.
In switching platforms there will be some inevitable issues, not so much with being able to import your stuff because there's usually a workaround or a utility that can help, but just with getting familiar with the platform and the differences between Windows and MacOS that can obscure their similarities. From time to time the support community here hears from a user who has found the migration very problematic and regrets it, but for the most part the phrase 'I should have done this years ago...' is rather more prevalent!

  • Importing Word, Excel, and Powerpoint...

Can you import Word, Excel, and Powerpoint files into Pages, Numbers, and Keynote so that they can all be backed up on iCloud?
Will people with PCs and/or Office files still be able to read them?

Yes they are all easily imported into Pages, Number & Keynote and those apps will also export to their MS Office equivilants.  However if you are sharing the documents regularly with Windows users it would be much easier to just get MS Office for Mac 2011. Then sharing documents is a much easier process.

  • Hi, so I want to get Microsoft Office on my Macbook Pro, and I think I found it on the app store. The app is templates for Microsoft Office is that the same thing. Will I get Word, Excel, and Powerpoint on my laptop if I buy and download that app?

If I buy the templates for Microsoft Office on the app store, I will get Word, Excel, and Powerpoint right?

Templates are just that, not the software itself.  You need to contact MicroSoft online to purchase, or buy a DVD to install from...be sure to get MS Office 2011 to install with Lion or Mountain Lion, older versions than 2008 will not work.

Buy version 2011 of MS Office.
Or you can download OpenOffice, LibreOffice or NeoOffice, which all come very close to working with MS files just like MS Office does.
Or iWord, I have heard, you can purchase.

  • If I have word, excel, and powerpoint on my computer already, when i update to mavericks and get pages, keynote, etc., will I still have my word, excel, and powerpoint?

I have word, excel, and powerpoint on my computer already.  I have seen some people with the new maverix, and they use keynote and pages.  I do not want to use those programs, so I am wondering what will happen if I update tot mavericks.  I DO NOT want to loose word, excel, and ppt, so does anyone know if all my stuff will stay??  Or will I be forced to use keynote, pages....?

No, you do not have to use keyote, Pages and Numbers. As long as your Office Version is current (2004 will not work anymore). You will not lose them, although be sure to backup your system before updating in case anything should go wrong. I personally am not a hugh fan of Keynote and Pages and work with Office for Mac most of the time.
    Hope this helps

  • My Word, Excel, and powerpoint won't work with mountain lion

My Word, Excel, and powerpoint won't work with mountain lion.
Just upgraded, and my icons are question marks.

Is the upgrade free? That depends, if you have a more recent version of Word, Excel and Powerpoint, then probably yes, but if not, nope, it'll cost you. Try M$ (micro$oft for that). However, might I suggest, humbly, that you try OpenOffice or NeoOffice. I used it to open up a powerpoint presentation and it did fine, plus the price is right

  • Downloaded Mountain Lion and lost support for Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Downloaded Mountain Lion and lost support for Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Anyone know how to get it back?

Odds are you running Office 2004, which is coded in PowerPC code. PowerPC is no longer supported.
You either must upgrade the newer version  of Office that will work or downgrade OS X.

  • How can i reinstalled word, excel and powerpoint?

Hi.I have a blackberry 8520 and my application word, excel and power point had disappeared.how can i reinstall them? Please help me!!!

Hi and Welcome to the Community!
Do you mean the DataViz Desktop To Go Applications? If so, the Standard Edition is free, but does not include the PDF reader. The Premium Edition costs, but add's the PDF reader. If you previously had the Premium Edition, then you simply use your previous license code to reinstall and activate it.
In any event, if it's indeed these apps you are asking about, then you need to be asking DataViz -- they are the vendor of those apps. They have lots of information on their website.
    Good luck!

  • What is the best app to buy for word, excel, and PowerPoint, for my ipad2?

Hello, I have an ipad2, and was recently told it can do everything a laptop can, so with that said, I need a great app for word, excel, PowerPoint, adobe and electric on signing , please help.

As with beauty, best is in the eye of the beholder or user.
FaceBook has an app for iOS devices, but FaceBook has chosen not to provide an iPad optimized version for their app - not yet anyway. As with most other iPhone/iPod Touch compatible apps, FaceBook's app will work on the iPad but it isn't optimized for the iPad's larger screen. There are at least two 3rd party FaceBook apps that are optimized for the iPad.
