Holidays to be displayed in Employees Work schedule

Hello Experts,
While Generating daily Work Schedule Manually,in the selection screen system asks for ESG grp,PSA Grpng,Holiday Calander ID & year for which work schedule rule has to be generated.
but when we create it or execute it,it only shows DWS on working days & OFF on Sundays.Why Public Holidays are not displayed on this?
also in 0007,when i check work schedule tab,same thing happens.where can i see holidays in work schedule?
Plz suggets some inputs.

NB,
After generation of work schedule you will get one screen in that screen for each and every day indicates with Five (5) fields out six fields four( 4) fields will be display all the dates
The 5th field will be displayed only for the particular day which you create as an holiday in that field it will displays the Holiday class which you define while creating the holidays
ex - 1 - for Public holidays
Five fields will be as follows
1 - Date of the particular day
2- Day type of the particular day (0,1,..)
3- Daily work schedule rule for the particular day
4 - If any variant is created for the particular day
5 - Holiday class of the particular field ( it will displays only for the day which Holiday is defined) other wise it will be in disable
If you want to check you can on specific date you defined the holiday

Can you please tell me what is your exact requirement?....
I think in the standard MSS package there is an iview for viewing the workschedule related information like Hours/day, Hrs/week, hrs/month and hrs/year for a position.
However, if you want to view the workschedule for employee, it can easily be configured through the OADP.
You can create a custom Function module for fetching the workschedule for each employee and after creating a custom column, add it to any data view.

Substitutions display in Personal work schedule

Hi,
I have a client that captures several substitutions for an employee for a specific day or period. Of the four substitution types, 3 substitutions are marked with the reduced working hours flag. This in turn, allows the client to capture several substitutions and to run the personal work schedule report successfully.
They now want to run the report displaying all substitutions, which would require de-activating the RWH flag. If this is done, then the personal work schedule report displays an error message for the days that more than one substitution has been captured.
My question is, how can I display more than one shift substitution on one specific day within the personal work schedule without doing development.

1. Check for the following customisation:
       Group Personnel Subareas for the Work Schedule
       Group Personnel Subareas for the Daily Work Schedule
       Define Employee Subgroup Groupings
       Define Groupings for the Public Holiday Calendar
       Set Work Schedule Rules and Work Schedules
       Define Counting Classes for the Period Work Schedule
       Set Personnel Subarea Groupings for Time Recording
2. In case if the error is coming for one employee just check the latest IT 0000 record and see if the WSR assigned is valid for the respective PSA and ESG's else neglect this point.

Mimic SAP Tcode PT03 output screen for work schedule

Hello
I have a requirement to create a web dynpro java application which can mimic standard SAP transaction "PT03" output screen.
i.e. View employee work Schedules..
Now I do not have any Calender UI element which I can use.
What could be best approach going forward.
Please note that creating an IAC iview or SAP Transaction Iview is already out of scope for us because of client constraints...
Please manage some time to look into this HCM transaction PT03 and advice me how can I mimic this in web dynpro.
I am concerned about the "View Work Schedule" screen which has a calender type display where information about employee is getting displayed in individual cell of calender.
Below is screenshot for page I need to Mimic..

Well the whole scenario has to work as below...
1. User will fill in some input form from portal (Web Dynpro java view)
2. Clicks on submit button...
3. Webdynpro java application calls an RFC....
4. Output is rendered in calender format .....or any other format......which is informative enough to user.

Change in Work Schedule Rule

I have changed the WSR for a specific personnel area changing the time of the working hours, so now after changing the settings do I need to generate WSR Manually if yes do i need to create or change the existing one
When I tried to create giving claendar, ESG,WSR, it says its already exists.
what should I do Now to activate It

Hi Naveen,
Please generate the WSR in batch mode and generate it from the month of change till the month you wish to generate.
SPRO > Time Management > Work Schedules > Work Schedule Rules and Work Schedule > Generate Work Schedules in Batch
Enter the employee subgroup grouping, holiday calendar id, personnel subarea grouping, work schedule rule, calendar month from (042014 for Apr'14) to calendar month (122025 for Dec'25), BTCI as E and click on execute.
Please enter the months for which you want to generate the WSR. The above were sample values for illustration.

Report to check work schedule - If case more than hundreds of work schedule

dear experts,
I have one issue to create work schedule for the next year. I want to create(pt01) active work schedule for the next year(2012).
However i have issue because I don't remember which work schedule still active.This is because we have hundreds
of work schedule rule based on emp sub group grouping, holiday calendar,psa grouping and w schedule rule.
Is there any reports to check all the active work schedule .I'm afreaid ihave missing certain work schedule for next year...

If you use the IMG node for automatic generation of Work Schedule Rules
(Time Management > Work Schedules > Work Schedule Rules and Work Schedules > Generate Work Schedules in Batch)
you can generate all work schedules associated to a Holiday Calendar
and only the active work schedules will be generated.

Selection rule for work schedule

Hi experts ,
Anyone know the meaning of the selection rule ?

btw, you should check factory Holiday calendar (Tcode: SCAL) and generate Work schedule for year.

Substitutions not reflected in work schedule

Hi experts,
I have have substitued workschedule , however when i click on the personnel working schedule button and its not reflecting in the employee work schedule .
My situation are suppose an employee work schedule was to be early shift and i substitute it to afternoon shift to replace a staff.The problem is the system does not overwrites my employee working schedule.
Is there any place where i could check whether it had been substitued ?

Error while generating Work Schedules

Hello,
I am trying to generate Work Schedules manually. I have configured all the previous steps like creating daily WS, Period WS, assigning PSA grouping, assigning Public Holidays etc. When I generate Work Schedules manually, I get the following error message -
Error while accessing public holiday calendar on 20110101
Diagnosis
The function module HOLIDAY_CHECK_AND_GET_INFO has generated an error.
Please guide.

Hi,
First check the validity period of your Holiday calendar. If it is until 2010, then the Validity needs to be extended beyond 2010, Write to SAP and ask them to extend the validity period for your Holiday calendar. Once the validity is extende then generate the workschedules. As of now generate the workschedules until 112010.

Work Schedules and CATS

Good day,
I was wondering if anyone out there has modified the CATS screen to allow the changing of Work Schedules ?
What I am getting at is that an employees line manager can, via the CATS screen, change the employees Work schedule and then when running TCode CAT6 the change will update the employees IT0007 record ?
I worked on a project years ago at a client in Oxford, UK where this was done so I know it can be done .
Any help will be appreciated.

Hi
Use additinal fields for assigning the WS rule which can be eddited. All the WS rules configured should come in the list.
Then select what is required and then ask the developer to trigger the program when the save button is hit and this will update IT0007 with New WS rule.
Please see the impact on the time management when the WS rule gets updated.

Holiday not reflecting in Period Work Schedule of employees

Hi friends
I have a serious issue here. I have created a Floating public holiday and assigned to my Holiday calendar which comes on 23rd of May. When I regenerated the Work schedule rule, it is reflecting showing holiday class as 01 and day type as 01. But when I generated Period work schedule for all employees for the month of May, 23rd May is not reflecting as holiday class 01 and day type 01, instead it is showing as work/paid.
Could anyone please help how to resolve this issue.

Hmm, time evaluation is not a prerequisite for use of substitutions. It is also used in payroll (daily processing) too.
So, if you see you WSR in IT0007 as it is required, then your work schedule is correctly generated. No worries. But when you don't see it in this report then the reason can be substitution or report logic or any other impact (I don't know yet).
Can you check what you see in IT 2051 - it has consolidated view. There you immidiately see any addiotnal time data (attendances, abcenses, substitutions).

Function module to get holiday class from work schedule for current day

I need to determine what the public holiday class value is for the current day in a user exit. Is there an SAP function module that can return me this data? This would be the information that is displayed when pressing the work schedule button from infotype 0007

Function module HOLIDAY_CHECK_AND_GET_INFO is closer to what I need. This function module returns an X if the day is a holiday. I will create a Z program and instead of returning an X for a holiday I will return the THOL-KLASS (holiday class) value.

"Display Work Schedule" in Portal( Generic iviews)

Is there any way to display the "Display Work Schedule " in Portal.
We are trying use the Generic iViews to display the reports in Portal and we created a SAP Query with the IT 7 ( Planned working time ) .
Here we would like to see the view thats similar to the view we see when we go display of IT 7 and then click on "Display Work Schedule "
Can some one tell me how we can acheive this " Display Work Schedule" thru generic iview in Portal.

Work schedule shows a holiday but it is not defined

Hi All,
I have run PT03 to check on my work schedule and it shows a date that is a holiday. I have checked the public holiday calendar and no holiday defined on that day. Checking again on the generated work schedule and clicking on the date where it says as holiday (though not defined in holiday calendar) it pops a message "Calendar not loaded on 21.05.2010". Normally when you double clicked on the date when there is holiday it is displayed beside holiday class field the description of the holiday but this one it does not show any description beside that field.
Hope you can help me on this.

One more thing, if you have removed a holiday from the holiday calendar after generation of work schedules, you need to generate the calendar again after removing that holiday, and also generate the work schedule using that calender and save the work schedule, then only you will see the removed holiday effect in the work schedule.
