Hotmail fails to be added

Can anyone help with rectifying the problem I have with verifying my hotmail account on my IPad?
All was well until yesterday and without warning today I get an error message saying the password to
the account is wrong.
I deleted the account to readd but this has failed. I have upgraded the OS to 6 and tried to readd the hotmail account
but it has still failed to verify it.
Any suggestions?

There are some issue rendering on Intel Mobile Series GPU in the Incubator build. It seems there is also some issues running with acceleration with other hardware too on Linux. One user found that setting context3D.enableErrorChecking = true in his tests remedied the problem (http://forums.adobe.com/thread/797994?tstart=0). If you happen to be writing any code for the MoleHill api, would you mind checking to see if this works?
If not then I will report back when we have fixed the issue and see if that allows you to run in hardware.

Hotmail failing on iphone 4

I have used hotmail for ages on a previous iphone 3 & also on the iphone 4. Since yesterday it is failing to update. I know the pasword & account are correct but it states this is the problem.
The OS is 4.3.3 (8J2)
Is anyone else having a problem? Is there a fault at present? Any ideas to getting it back up & running as I rely on this to remotely collect emails?

There are many possible causes that I have seen to this problem.
What threw me off is that it occured so suddenly.
I have used a lot of networks. Usually WPA2. Since I got here... on this WEP network...
my mail stopped working for some bizarre reason.
The two error messages I kept REPEATEDLY getting were- "connection to server failed" and "password incorrect: enter the password for the"... blah.
I can't tell you for sure if time cured it but my solution was #4 on the following list
Common Solutions I found on the internet-
IF YOU ARE USING HOTMAIL ("@hotmail.com","@msn.com", or "@live.com")
Make sure your Email and Username are the same. BOTH should end in "@hotmail.com"
Be ultra-sure you are typing in the username and password right
"m.hotmail.com" for the server, SSL on.
Keep your password on the shorter side- UNDER 16 characters.
I tried several. I can vouch for up to 15 characters.
ALSO... as a side-note... caps are irrelevant in the email and username, just like on the computer.
IF YOU ARE USING GMAIL ("@gmail.com)

NZERROR: nzos_Handshake failed(29024) while adding Essbase to EAS (SSL)

I am trying to implement SSL for Essbase server on EPM 11.1.2.1, while I am trying to add essbase server in EAS console using SSL mode, it's giving "NZERROR: nzos_Handshake failed(29024)"
Still I am able to access Essbase in secured mode through MAXL.

This is what the error code means
NZE-29024: Certificate validation failure
Cause: The certificate sent by the other side could not be validated. This may occur if the certificate has expired, has been revoked, or is invalid for another reason.
Action: Check the certificate to determine whether it is valid. Obtain a new certificate, alert the sender that there certificate has failed, or resend.

Hotmail failing on I-Pad 2 and I-Phone

Primary Hotmail account was hacked. Cleaned up the "rootkit virius". Created new stronger pass word for Hotmail. Now constant messages on the I-Pad and I-Phone--can't get, send or receive, need Apple ID. Put that in and then it wants the Hotmail pass word. Do that and the loop begins again.
Blowing out the Hotmail account on the I-Pad isn't the solution.
Any ideas?

I did not. When I went into Hotmail on the desk top and could not get in Microsoft confirmed that "someone else is using your account", they asked for confirmation of where to send the new security code so I could change the pass word. I changed it and everything worked fine on all devices. Them four hours later it all got goofey again.
and hasn't worked since.
I'm flying this morning and will try your seggestion when I get back.

SWIM collection in Prime fails for newly added Cisco 3650 switch

Currently carrying out a refresh of my LAN devices moving to Cisco 3650 PS-S, when running SWIM from the software image management in Prime 2.1 I receive the following output:

Is the 3650 not currently supported by Prime 2.1 for image collection?

What is missing from the example is the fact that you need to create a Variable in the Manage Variable List for the $interfaceNameList object. Here is what I did:

Next hightlight the interfaceNameList name and then click on the Manage Variables icon (upper right corner of the dialog). This will create a new variable of type String called interfaceNameList. Edit this new variable and change it to:

Note: IntfName was retrieved from the list of predefined variables listed in /opt/CSCOlumos/conf/ifm/template/inventoryTagsInTemplate mentioned above.

i have a hyperlink for an object.
clicking it opens up an internal frame centering the object.
i use the method
JViewport.setViewPosition(Point p)
i calculate point p such that the object appears at the center of the viewport.
problem: the method gets executed if the internal frame is already open.
otherwise it is not executed.
ie. when a hyperlink is clicked the node is centered if the internal frame is already open - otherwise it is not centered.
why does it happen? any help

Hotmail stopped working on my iPhone after a few months!

Hi,
I upgraded my hotmail account to the premium membership to be able to use its pop service on my iphone and it worked fine for a few months. But suddenly it just stopped working a couple of weeks ago. I am not able to receive any new emails on the email service of my iPhone for my Hotmail account. All my other email services, yahoo and gmail, work fine on my iPhone apart from my Hotmail account which it just stopped two weeks ago and has not resumed working ever since.
Any one has any explanation or suggestion to resolve this issue.

I am having the same problem and I think I am making matters worse. I tried deleting the hotmail account and then added it again, but I'm not sure I have the settings right. Should I be setting up in IMAP, POP, or Exchange? Here is what I have done so far for my last attempt:
Deleted my Hotmail account.
Powered phone off and turned back on.
Went to Settings/Mail/Add Account/Other
IMAP is highlighted
Name/Address/Description is correct
Host Name: pop3.live.com
User Name: is correct
Password: is correct
Host Name: smpt.live.com
User Name: is correct
Password: is correct
Pressed SAVE (iphone shows "verifying IMAP account information")
Error message "*Cannot Connect Using SSL* Do you want to try setting up the account without SSL?"

Error message "*IMAP account verification failed* The IMAP server "pop3.live.com" is not responding. Check your network connection and that you entered the correct information in the "Incoming Mail Server" field."

Now what or where do I go from here? My Yahoo account is working fine.

Why are all of my hotmail folders not showing up? They previously were and now the only thing that shows up his inbox and trash. I have tried deleting and reinstalling hotmail under settings and add mail account but it is still only giving me the inbox.

I can access all my folders in hotmail when I log on from google but they don't show up and just the general mailbox. I don't want to have to logon to Google every time I want to check my Hotmail but I also need to be able to see all my subfolders that I created under the inbox. There are many time to do not wish to delete the message but at the same time I don't want to leave them in the inbox forever. I tried restarting my iPhone 4s which has the update seven-point whatever it is now and also went and try to create an exchange account where it did not let me do it. Try deleting your hotmail account and then adding it back as an Outlook account instead of "other". It worked for me.

Dual Case Column names fail in select ORDER BY clause

This one is solved, but I thought someone might be able to explain why it happens.
I'm a newbie, since I just downloaded Oracel XE last night, and am trying it out.
I set up a trivial table with 4 text columns. As it happened, I used dual case for some of my column names, such as 'Nickname'.
When trying out the Query Builder, the Select statement failed whenever I added a sort.
After some head scratching and back-and-forth with the sample data base (HR), I finally renamed all the columns to upper case. (e.g. column 'Nickname' became 'NICKNAME'). Then it works.
Seems like a bug, but maybe it's just a feature. Here's the code generated by the Query Builder. As you can see, there are no quotes around the Table name or column names in the ORDER BY clause (and the dual case version of the column name works if I put the quotes in manually and run it with SQL command.) Seems quirky.

It is your code - which create this bug.
Now, question is - what happen?
Just check your select and from clause. You put all the names are in double quote. When you put anything within double quotes - it become a case sensitive. So, the problem occurs there.

Request message mapping failed in QAS server

Hi ,
I've transported the Developed objects from DEV Server to QAS Server using CTS method , now when i m making any changes in the development system and re transporting it back to quality server , its showing one or the other error ,
In one case it shows "Request message mapping failed" just we added one filed and mapped it. The filed can be seen in the repository but in the moni it says this filed is missing even though it is working fine in development, but in quality , i dont know why this problem is coming

Adding new column to production database

I have to add a new timestamp column, that defaults to the current date/time, to an existing production database. The table is large - 150M records. I am trying to understand the ramifications of adding a new column to a table this large that gets hit often, mostly with inserts and reads. The column does allow null values and I am not going back and populating existing records with a value. Basically, I am looking for some best practice guidelines - how to prepare, what to expect, what other processes should be followed along with this schema update.

SQL> you should also consider the chance that some where if people are using "select * into" using this table, which will fail since you added new column. i don't see any unusual performance bottlenecks by adding a new column. in case of the backups, yes the earlier backups will not have the column. if you restore it, you will see earlier table structure itself. i have one specific question. why are you not attempting this in development/test environment first? even if it is a simple insert, it's always important to do it in test environments before attempting on production db. one thing for sure i know is, after adding column, you will have to recompile all the invalid dependencies. i think, it's better if you attempt it in test db and come up with any issues you see rather than asking a general question where problematic scenarios are plenty and rarely unknown before hand.

to store string data.

Isync failing to sync with IBM WorkPad C3

iSync has started to fail. I think this first failed when I added a number of subscription calendars to iCal and ran out of memory on the Palm. I've now selected just the one calendar in iSync, but when I sync, iSync comes up with a window message saying that the iSync was cancelled - it wasn't!
I'm quite happy with the data on my g4 Powerbook and would be happy to load all this again, but even resetting the iSync history gives the same result.

IOS8 Family Sharing is a FAIL

Well, so far, Family Sharing is a complete fail. After adding my kids to the family, they are no longer able to update any apps. They get an error about "Your family doesn't have a valid payment method". What?? This after I had to switch our PayPal payment method which was good for years, but somehow isn't supported with Family Sharing, to my MasterCard. So, clearly we DO have a valid payment method because you can't even setup Family Sharing unless you have a valid payment method. And the MasterCard shows valid and I'm able to buy apps.
Also, no matter what I did to try to see the family purchases - restarted the device, downloaded a free app - purchases from other family members never showed up under Purchases in iTunes Store or App Store apps.
So much for Family Sharing. Anyway, we solved the app update problem by kicking everyone out of the family and abandoning hope of easily sharing purchased music and apps. It sounded good....evidently too good to be true.

if the MasterCard is a debit card, you cannot use that for children under 13. Not sure why we can't use Paypal either.

How To: Setup Hotmail as a POP3

If you have a Windows Live Hotmail Plus subscription, you can use a POP3 (POP3, or Post Office Protocol 3, is a protocol that's used to retrieve e-mail from a mail server.) server to add your Windows Live Hotmail account to Microsoft Outlook Express and access messages there. If you download and install Windows Live Mail, you can add your Windows Live Hotmail account to Windows Live Mail and access your messages and contacts there.
Use a POP3 server to add your Windows Live Hotmail account to Outlook Express
1: In Outlook Express, click the Tools menu, and then click Accounts.
2: Click Add, and then click Mail.
3: Type your name, and then click Next.
4: Type your full Windows Live Hotmail e-mail address, and then click Next.
5: Enter the following information, and then click Next:
- In the My incoming mail server is a box, click POP3.
- In the Incoming mail (POP3, IMAP, or HTTP) server box, type pop3.live.com.
- In the Outgoing mail (SMTP) server box, type smtp.live.com
6: Type the account name and the password for your Windows Live Hotmail account. Clear the Remember password check box unless you're the only person with access to the computer. Make sure that the Log on using Secure Password Authentication (SPA) check box isn't selected.
7: Click Next, and then click Finish.
8: In the Internet Accounts window, click the Mail tab, click the Windows Live Hotmail account that you added, and then click Properties.
9: Click the Advanced tab, under Server Port Numbers, enter the following information, and then click OK:
- In the Incoming server (POP3) box, type 995.
- In the Outgoing server (SMTP) box, type 25.
- Under both Outgoing mail (SMTP) and Incoming mail (POP3), select the This server requires a secure connection (SSL) check box.
10: Click Close.

I just started the setup process for my Hotmail account on my iPhone (3G). After entering my email address and password, it immediately said:
"pop3.live.com
A Windows Live Hotmail Plus subscription is required to use Hotmail accounts with Mail. Visit get.live.com/mailplus/features for details. You can also access your Hotmail account on the web at mail.live.com."
(I have a Hotmail "Plus" account, so I'm golden there.)
After hitting "Next", it verified everything, and all seems to be well. I'm now easily able to use my Hotmail account. I did not have to do anything additional. This is my 1st iPhone, so I'm not sure when Apple actually changed the Hotmail "install" method (2.1?), but it's much easier than it used to be in order to set it up (see here: http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=1126292 ). The only downside is that I'm only able to see my "Inbox", and not my other folders (another issue discussed in the above mentioned link).
