Hotmail redirect my page if I use safari but not with Firefox

Once I login into Hotmail using safari I am redirected to a hotmail black page. This started after opening an e-mail from a trustable source. If I use firefox I do not have any problem.
I reset safari, cancelled all the cookies, deleted all the cache from Safari,. I deleted from the library extension of finder and mine the documents from the following folder: cookies, LaunchAgents, LaunchDaemons with no lack.
Any solution?
Apple support wanted 35 pounds and I was on a 0845 number as well!!!
I found the solution: I ditched Safari and started to use Firefox. I can now read my e-mails

Did you check the volume setting in the player to make sure that the sound isn't muted?
You can try to clear the Flash local storage.

  • 403 error on Safari but not with firefox or trough VirtualBox

    Hello,
    I can’t access my company’s webmail with Safari or Chrome because I’m getting 403 error. ( webmail.cemig.com.br )
On the same machine, with firefox or VirtualBox (IE & XP) the site loads correctly, so that’s a problem on the Mac side.
Witch settings I have to change to get it working?
I’m an advanced PC user but completely unfamiliar with OS X…
    Thanks

Also keep in mind that I've installed owncloud using the source downloaded from the website. I previously installed using the pacman, but wanted to configure it to be under a sub directory and not as my web root.

  • How can I copy-paste text from Firefox to Apple Mail preserving all formatting? It works with Safari but not with Firefox, otherwise I'd pick Firefox

I have a very big list of correspondents to whom I often send articles.
I cannot copy them from Firefox and paste them onto Apple Mail because they look WEIRD and not at all like the original. Most formatting disappears.
I do not encounter the same problem with Safari, and THAT is one of the two reasons I am forced to use it even if it gives me lots of problems.
The other one is that Safari 5 has a built-in RSS reader, which is essential for my work.
If you could manage to have those two things working, I'd pick Firefox in a second and advertise the fact to thousands who would do the same.

Try one of these feed readers if the build-in Firefox reader doesn't suit you.

  • Printing from web pages is excruciatingly slow with most recent upgrades of Firefox .Use an iMac and an HP officejet printer. Printer works fine with Safari and woodprocessed files, but not with Firefox and web pages.

Printing from web pages is excruciatingly slow since downloading most recent upgrades of Firefox Mozilla. I have a desktop iMac, OS 10.6.8, and an HP officejet printer 4500 G510n. The printer works fine with the Safari Browser and with woodprocessed files, but not with Firefox and web pages. Help please! It used to print fast with earlier versions of Firefox.

Hello and welcome to the Apple Discussions Forum.
I have hardly any experience with HP printers but since your posting has not been replied to yet I thought I'd offer some assistance.
With the printer status and ink levels working, it shows that you have a connection to the printer. So I would look at the issue being with the protocol being used for the print queue on the Mac.
Since you have XP and Vista working, I would check the printer queue configuration on either box. In XP, go to the Properties and select Ports. Click the Configure Port tab to view the connection. If you are using RAW, then this is known as HP Jetdirect-Socket on OS X. So if you are not sure what protocol was used before I would create another printer queue, this time selecting IP > HP Jetdirect-Socket. Then enter your IP address and select the K5400dn from the Print Using menu.
If this still fails to print then please reply. There may be limitations with adding the HP driver this way that I am not aware of. There may also be other driver options you can look at, such as HPIJS. If Greg Sahli reads this posting he has expert knowledge on this matter and will be able to offer some guidance.

  • The "new" hotmail no longer works with safari, but works with firefox. Hmm.

The "new" hotmail no longer works with safari, but works with firefox. Hmm. i find this very convenient being a microsoft product. anybody else wonder why this new version happens to not be safari compatible? does anybody know if it works on the PC version of safari? if not, i find this to be a blatant move on microsofts part to bias the safari browser (especially since its basicly new on the window platform). forcing safari/hotmail users to "have" to use another browser to access their hotmail accounts.

I have been successfully using Hotmail and Gmail with Safari for a long time. For roughly the past month, that relationship is rocky at best. At times, one of the following actions suddenly opens Hotmail, but it is a short-lived solution:
    (a) Hotmail directly
    (b) Hotmail Home>Hotmail
    (c) Sign up to Windows Hotmail
    (d) Deletion of prescribed cookies, resetting, etc. - made no difference
Both Firefox and Opera work fine with Hotmail - especially Opera is very fast.
In addition, Safari and Gmail does not work with Attachments, but otherwise Gmail is OK.
I suspect I have to wait for a Safari fix because in my case I do not wish to abandon Hotmail, and Safari is a given. I would think that Safari would want to stay competitive with the two biggies, Hotmail and Gmail, which must have large numbers of users.
I certainly would appreciate any other suggested fixes.

  • Flash in Safari but not in Firefox or vice versa?

Can I have Adobe Flash enabled on Safari, but not on Firefox?
I'd like regular, usable browser and one very safe, minimal browser.

    HI,
Not sure if that is possible but an alternative is to use ClickToFlash available here.
Free, easy to install, compatible with Safari 5 + and Snow Leopard v10.6.4
    http://clicktoflash.com/
When you visit a site where Flash content is streamed, just control or right click to start Flash.

  • Page fully loads in IE but not in Firefox

This page opens fully in IE but not in Firefox 4.

yeah, some pages are only designed for internet explore. cannot make compatibility with firefox 3.x/4.0 or google chrome 10.x.x.x, for example, zude.com, these kind of websites now are minorities, but they exist.
so at least, you need 2 internet browser for all you need, an IE browser version upper than 7.0, and a firefox 4.0 or a google chrome 10.x for fast browse.

  • Site fine in Safari, but not in Firefox

so I made a simple photo page in iWeb. the page works fine in safari, but I actually get a 404, page not found error when I look at it in Firefox.
now the even weirder thing is I get this error on my macbook pro, but it works just fine in firefox on my powermac G5. I've also come across a pc user who can't see it properly in firefox, while other pc users can...
    very confused, thoughts?

if you are tying the address in make sure the W in iWeb is a capital.
other than that you might supply the address so someone can attempt to view it.
sounds like an addressing problem though
    good luck

  • This site works in Safari but not in Firefox

This site works fine in Safari but not in the latest version of Firefox on 2 of my computers:
    http://ase.tufts.edu/biology/labs/levin/resources/books.htm
I've cleared cache, restarted, etc. - no good. On Safari, I see a bunch of tiled thumbnails for various books on Amazon. On Firefox, I see absolutely no thumbnails, just rows of text and horizontal lines (I can't figure out how to upload attachments here).

Aha! Restarting without add-ons fixed it. I must have something that blocks iframes with links to Amazon books. Thanks!

  • The menu bar on my business home page is missing. It loads on Safari but not on Firefox. I used IWeb for the development of the site.

I've just updated my business website. It looks perfect on Safari - but the menu bar is missing from the first page on Firefox - so no one can enter the site. Does this mean it's being blocked as spam? How do I fix this? Help!!!

Reload web page(s) and bypass the cache to refresh possibly outdated or corrupted files.
*Hold down the Shift key and left-click the Reload button
    *Press "Ctrl + F5" or press "Ctrl + Shift + R" (Windows,Linux)
    *Press "Command + Shift + R" (Mac)
Clear the cache and the cookies from websites that cause problems.
    "Clear the Cache":
*Firefox > Preferences > Advanced > Network > Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"
"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:
*Firefox > Preferences > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
