How access data?

How do I accss data from the time capsule?

I don't think you can, it's only access is TimeMachine I believe, I don't think you could access the data on the drive even if you cracked the thing open and attached a IDE/SATA to USB adapter cable to a PC with MacDrive or a Linux box, or even another Mac w/o TM.
Anyone try? Inquiring minds would like to know.
I try to keep my data as easily accessible as possible, if I want it locked down, it's going on a Iron Key or hardware encrypted external drive.

  • OSB How access data "userException" from proxy

    Hi all,
Although I have read on this forum some similar post, the proposed solution does not work for me.
We have: Proxy created from the Business ---> from WSDL Business ---> Web-Service
I have a test SOAP message passes a parameter wrong, If I make a test:
    1)     SoapUi -> Web-Service:
    Occurs the error:
    <faultcode> soapenv: Server.userException </ faultcode>
    <faultstring> java.rmi.RemoteException: Application XNFI is not authorized. </ faultstring>
    2)     SoapUi -> Proxy -> Business -> Web-Service: Error
    Occurs the error:
    <faultcode> soapenv: Server </ faultcode>
    <faultstring> BEA-380001: Internal Server Error </ faultstring>
As I read in the forum, the solution maybe to capture $fault in Route Error handler, but in my case, this variable contains:
    <con:fault xmlns:con="http://www.bea.com/wli/sb/context">
    <con:errorCode>BEA-380001</con:errorCode>
    <con:reason>Internal Server Error</con:reason>
    <con:location>
    <con:node>RouteTo_ServicioSMSMenTes</con:node>
    <con:path>response-pipeline</con:path>
    </con:location>
    </con:fault>>
I made report of all variables (head, body, inbound, outbound, fault, attachment) but I can´t see “userException”.
However, when trace OSB, in log file, I can see the information that I need: (see Payload)
    Service Ref = MENT_OSB / private / definicion_servicios / ServicioSMSMenTes_BS

How I can access Payload to catch the user error?
    Thank you very much,

    Hi Anuj,
The variable $body of errror handle hasn´t data, it´s empty.
However i tested another web-service, and the message error is into $body. Therefore, it seems to be a problem of web-service. We will seek what is the cause, it will be util to detect the same problem with other web-service.
    Thanks,

I want to access data from a different user account. How do I make all the files available?

I have another post here in the forum that explains in detail about the rez problem. It was read by a lot of people with no responses. 1 thing that might be important is that I was using a Wacom drawing tablet when this problem started. I removed the Wacom software and no help.
My Apple 23" Cinema display has very large icons but the display prefs says it is at 1920 x 1200. It's not just a low screen rez but the dock and all icons will scroll on the screen when I move the mouse.
The resolution will not change to anything else. The rez is fine on other user names.
I have booted from the Apple DVD and run disk repair, repaired disk permissions. Booted and run Tech Tool.
Booted from the Disk Warrior cd and ran that.

  • How Offiline Data loading is possible from MS Access DB to Oracle DM

    HI All,
    I am new to Oracle.
I am trying to migrate few tables from MS Access DB to Oracle DB (10g)
I have used the migration utility from the Sql Developer tool.
I was successful in creating the schema and also transferring the data for tables.
But if my data in Access DB is updated everyday then how am i suppose to link this to newly created oracle tables?
Is there any way to do this?
And if i want to load the Oracle tables offline using "Generate Offline Data Move Scripts" option in sql developer then how do i do it?
I tried using the option "Generate Data Move Scripts" right click option on converted object then the utility created few files on my local machine.
I am not able to make my way fwd.
    Please help me.
    regards,
    Sushil

    Hi Sushil,
I will try to address each of your questions:
Q: "if my data in Access DB is updated everyday then how am i suppose to link this to newly created oracle tables? Is there any way to do this?"
A: Depending on your reasons for maintaining the use of the MS Access database, you have two options.
    1. lf you are continuing to use the MS Access database because the application front end is MS Access forms & reports then you could just create linked tables to the newly migrated Oracle tables. Doing so will mean that any data modified via the frond end forms & reports will be saved directly in the Oracle database.
    2. If you wish to continue saving data to the MS Access database, then transfer it to the Oracle database, then you can just use the "Migrate Data" option in Oracle SQL Developer Migration Workbench to carry out this task. You just need to ensure that you've an open connection to your migration repository, and have the converted model for the migrated database. You will then just transfer the data online, like you have already done.
Q: "And if i want to load the Oracle tables offline using "Generate Offline Data Move Scripts" option in sql developer then how do i do it?"
A: To migrate your MS Access data offline, you need to do the following:
    1. Run the Exporter tool for MS Access, and select the "Export for Oracle SQL Developer" option. On the second screen of the tool, browse to the location of your MDB file, provide a location for the output directory and ensure you select the "Export Table Data" option before you click the "Export" button. This option generates a .DAT file for each table containing data in your MDB file.
    2. In Oracle SQL Developer, once you have carried out your migration, select the Migration > Script Generation > Generate Data Move Scripts menu item and select the Converted Model to generate the scripts for. An "MSAccess" folder will be generated in the path specified in the "Generate Offline Data Move Files" dialog.
    3. Navigate to the "MSAccess" folder generated in step 2, and this folder should contain a "oracle_ctl.bat" file, which
    for your converted model.
    4. Edit the "oracle_ctl.bat" file and update the script to replace <Username>/<Password> with the actual username/password combination required to connect to the migrated schema e.g. for a migrated Northwind database, this combination would be northwind/northwind. Save the changes to the file.
    5. Copy the .DAT files generated in step 1 to the /MSAccess/Oracle folder. The .ctl files refer to the .DAT file in order to load the data into Oracle using SQL*Loader.
    6. Open each of the .ctl files and check the file name referenced on the 2nd line of the file e.g. infile '[Categories].null', where the file name is "Categories.null". The ".null" part must be updated to ".dat". This is a known issue and a fix for this will be available in a future release of the Oracle SQL Developer Migration Workbench. Save the changes to the .ctl files.
    7. Open up a Command Prompt & navigate to the /MSAccess folder, and run the "oracle_ctl.bat" file to load the data into the Oracle database tables. If you experience any issues during this process, check the output in the command prompt & try to resolve any reported issues. If you are unable to do so, please refer to the Migration Workbench forum - Database and Application Migrations If you cannot find a solution from the existing threads, please post a new thread, giving the full syntax of any reported error messages.
    I hope this helps.
    Regards,
    Hilary

  • How to access Data Guard option in Oracle 10g OEM

    Hi All,
I have Oracle 10g ENTERPRISE EDITION on Unix envoirement. I want to setup logical standby Database through Data Guard technology. But when I brows through OEM I do not find Link for DATA GUARD????
    1) How to access Data Guard option from oracle 10g OEM.
    2) Does It come with Enterprise Edition OR I have to install it separately.
    Regards,
    Darshan

I am managing almost everything through EM Grid Control. It is easy to setup and configure.
Anyways, if you have read the documentation on
Oracle® Data Guard Concepts and Administration and setup your environment accordingly then you should not have any problems. Atleast I can assure you that your production database will not be affected by it.
Just make sure that you follow each step and read thoroughly. If you have spare machines then you can test and record your configuration before performing it on your production db. This link will provide you with the information on DataGuard.
    http://download-uk.oracle.com/docs/cd/B19306_01/server.102/b14239/concepts.htm
If you think that way then you will never be able to do any new stuff since you will always fear that something might go wrong. Go ahead pal, try it on test machines and you will know that it is not that difficult.

If yes can you tell me how to proceed.

    Done that like this :
you create a new ORACLE ODBC connection in the ODBC section of the control panel (you are in Windoze world, don't you?). After you open your Access database and do a file, export, external data, scroll down for ODBC and PICK A NAME FOR YOUR NEW ORACLE DATABASE IN CAPITAL LETTERS, you sign in and the export begin...

  • How to extract MS Access data to BW?

    Hi guys!
We are trying to find out, how to extract data from MS Access file database to BW. We don't know, how to connect to the file.
Can you please give me some hint, how to do it?
    Thanx a lot!
    Peter

    HI,
    you just can't....
A workaround would be to have an MSSQL server in between:
    - load your MSACC data into a MSSQL
    - DBConnect your MSSQL to BW.
not really advantageous... you can also dump your access data into falt files and load them directly to BW.
If you are on BI, have a look if there is an adapter for MSAccess for BI (UDConnect); I think that should be possible
    hope this helps...
    Olivier.
