How best to convert psd to jpeg?

I am using pse9,  I resized photos with Perfect Resize and they are now in psd files. I copied them to a flash drive and tried to move them to a converter, but the converter does not recognize them.
Any help will be appreciated,
Lascar

If a single file, just do a save as or use Save for Web. For many files, if they're in organizer use File>Export in windows and choose jpg as the format. If not, or if you're on a mac, use File>Process Mulitple Files in the editor.

You can use Adobe's free DNG converter to convert proprietary raws to the universal DNG raw format. Here are the links:
Adobe - Adobe Camera Raw and DNG Converter : For Windows : Adobe DNG Converter 9.0
Adobe - Adobe Camera Raw and DNG Converter : For Macintosh : Adobe DNG Converter 9.0
Converting to JPEG will be an extra step afterwards.

Try using VLC Media Player 2.0.6. EasyWMA 3.3.5  or Music Converter 1.5.1 should be able to convert them to .mp3.

  • How do i convert raw to jpeg in aperture

How do I convert raw to jpeg in Aperture 3 ?

I find all this rather strange! I often convert RAW to Jpeg if I want to keep an image for reference but it doesn't merit or require the 8 to 10MB of the RAW file (on my computer, my external drive, or anywhere else). For example, I take photos of artefacts in museums, and I also photograph the labels/legends beside them, for reference. I can keep those solely as quite small Jpegs since I'm never going to want to print them.
(No, I don't want to switch settings on the camera while I do this - I'll only forget to switch back, and then have loads of low-res Jpegs that were meant to be glorious RAW).
In other software I've used, there's a batch convert that makes this very simple. Seems that in Aperture I'm obliged to export and then re-import. Not a big deal, but a slight pain in the arse all the same, and a little odd.
Anyway, thanks to the above posts, I now know how to do the export-import malarkey. I couldn't find it in the manual.
    cheers,

If you are editing a single psd file in the editor, simply choose 'save as' and specify the jpg format in the save dialog.
If you want to batch convert many psd to jpg in the editor, use the 'File/process multiple files' command.
If you are in the organizer, use the export function and select the jpg format in the export dialog.

  • How to batch convert psd to png with layers

how to batch convert psd to png with layers
i want to convert lots of PSD files into PNGs WHILE RETAINING
    LAYERS!
simply batching and choosing custom setting flattens the
    thing.
    how do i do that!??
and i KNOW it can be done somehow - because i have some old
png's i KNOW come from the same psd source. ironic, isn't it?
besides - feature wish for adobe developers:
    A) batch conversion should include 300dpi to 72dpi and vise
    versa.
    B) batch conversion should include PSD to PNG and vice versa
    - including layers and transparency.
    C) RGB to CMYK option when converting from 72 dpi to 300dpi.
    D) batch exporting should include PNG32 which it doesnt now -
but somehow DOES include the outdated and stupid gif-format.
    E) i'd like the Actions feature of photoshop - makes batching
    complicated procedures easly.
    F) I'd like support for the brushes of photoshop
    G) Better selecting tools for details like hair and fine
    edges.
Important notes is that i as webdesigner often need to make
certain aspects of my clients graphics into print material. Also
that i use fireworks for picture editing.
Praise for the developers of fireworks
    A) the compression facility of JPGs is AWESOME!
    B) PNG as fileformat is likewise awesome - i end up using it
for almost all i do these days. Transparency and good file sizes. I
have used fireworks cs3 to convert all psd and tiff and ai files to
    PNG.
    C) the vectors and styles and method of selecting and editing
things in fireworks is FAR SUPERIOR to flash and photoshop!

  • Workflow how - convert psd to jpeg...

Ok so in automator I have the "get specified finder items" and I have my 4 .psd (photoshop files) and then I have the next action be "convert image to... jpeg" now what is the next step to put these in a specified folder and place? What action would that be?
sorry I am sort of new...
    thanks
    TM

Are you using an action you've downloaded specifically for Photoshop? The Preview Automator action (which is installed by default) won't convert from PSD. The action is designed to ignore unrecognized file formats, so it wouldn't have thrown an error to tell you this. Oddly enough, Automator is fully capable of converting PSD and a variety of other formats that the action's author must have been unaware of. Check out this recent thread on the subject:
    http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=389497
You'd just have to swap out TGA for PSD.

  • How do you convert psd files to jpg files?

Raw photos were converted to psd and then to jpg. The jpg files were imported and some got reconverted to psd files again. How can I convert them back to jpg files so that I can put them in a photo book?

the basic answer is to open them in Photoshop and save as a jpeg to the desktop and import the JPEG into iPhoto

perhaps a bit more information would allow a better answer
And remember to never go into the iPhoto library directly and never make any changes to the structure or contents of the iPhoto library

  • Convert psd to jpeg

    Dag,
    Alvast hartelijk dank,
    Johan

JPEG is a visually lossy compression and even at the best quality setting there will be artefacts. Your file will never become bigger, because the algorithm already is at its optimum. So far nothing is wrong here and even if it were technically possible, a larger file wouldn't necessarily mean better quality. If that's an issue, you simply need to use a different image format like a compressed TIFF to send your file out e.g. to a print facility.

  • How Best To Convert Flash to DVD for Widescreen TV

I am a noob trying to get my flash file converted over to a
looping, DVD video clip that will play on a wide screen TV at our
local pub. I have no idea how to. I also have these questions....
    1. I made it 1020x720.... should it actually be.... 1280x720?
    2. I've downloaded several demos of SWF to DVD conversion
softwares, yet none seem to provide the graphics quality once
    converted. What software is best?
    3. What format is best to convert to for the best graphics?
    .AVI, .MOV, .WMV, .MP3?
    4. What's Bitrate do when converting? I assume higher is
    better?
Hope someone here can at least provide me a few expert
pointers on how to best get my flash file to widescreen TV with the
best quality without spending hundreds on additional software. Oh,
and I am using Flash8 if that matters.
    Thanks for any help!!!

Thanks again.  Understand about the copyright issues.
In regards to my non-commerical DVDs (personal videos and the like for my son to watch on a portable dvd player), Handbrake enabled me to output to MP4 and MKV but not Xvid or DivX.
Are you aware of any converters that output to the formats I need to copy the files across to a usb drive (Xvid or DivX?)

  • How to Export/Convert PSD to HTML??

I'm hoping someone can help me here. I've searched online quite a bit to try and find an answer and haven't come up with anything yet.
I'm using the trial of CS3 right now (hoping it does what I need it to so I can justify purchasing!). I have a web design template that is in PSD format. I went in and did all of my editing and customization and when I got to the point where I was ready to publish, I realized that I had no idea how to get it int HTML format.
When I get web templates they always come with PSD and HTML files, leading me to believe that they are designed in PSD, and then converted. I'm new to the Photoshop world, so if this is really easy stuff, I apologize for the ignorance.
Any help on this (or a link to a tutorial or anything like that) would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks a lot!
    Micah

hi micah, html is a text markup language (actually HyperText Markup Language). PSD is an image. you cannot convert an image into text.
that said, check into File> save for web and devices. there's a way to export the image files into websites. i believe it's in the save options pane. select save html and images. what that does is create some very basic html code to display your image on a web page. it converts the psd to a web viewable image format like gif, png or jpg (your choice). it's then up to you to upload the output of that, which will include html coded pages AND images to a website for viewing.
it's not as difficult as it sounds. try it, and if the trial version contains the help files (F1) look up "save for web" and read more about it there.

  • How can i convert .gif/.bmp/.jpeg file to labview code(vi)?

    Hi,
I am having a .gif file which consists of vi code. I want to convert that .gif file into vi & complile it. I am using LV 6.1 & 7 express. Is is possible?
Reverse is surely possible like we can convert the vi diagram into .gif/.bmp file? But above i dont know?
    Your help will really appreciated.
    Best Regards,
    Nirmal

If I understand your desire, it's to be able to convert a graphical image (bit map or screen photo, for example) into a functional block of LabView code, with all of the wire work done, etc. This is a task approximately equivalent to performing optical character recognition.
In the case of a non-system subvi, unless that subvi is loaded, so that it's graphical representation can be recognized by comparing the bit-map image for the subvi on the photo with the available vi's.
Another difficult problem to solve is when the bit-map has been scaled up or down, such that there's a pixel count mismatch between the VI iconic bitmap and the photographic bitmap you wish to import into your code diagram.
And if you try to do recognition on objects that have h
ad their RGB color representations changed, as can happen when JPG compression or other compression forms are used that reduce to total number of colors saved, that challenges the object recognition further.
Also, what you're interested in having is only of value to Labview programmers, so there's not a very large market for such a tool to be sold to - unlike bitmaps of scanned text to ASCII or wordprocessor applications - traditional OCR software.
All this ins't to say it can't be done, but that it's difficult, and for the person or company that undertakes it, the sales potential is limited.

  • How do I convert Raw to Jpeg with Elements 9?

I just installed Elements 9. I set my camera Panasonic G2 to Raw and Standard and could not find the Raw with Elements open, I could only find them in the DCIM folder and send them to My Documents. There has to be an easier way.
My other question, after I made some adjustments in Raw, I wanted to convert and save them in Jpeg to do further adjustments in PSE.  There doesn't seem be to be this option to do that. I have Silkypix, which works fine, but would prefer to do everything with the same software.Raw was the main reason I bought PSE 9.
