How can I automatically make a copy of one nas drive to another?

I Have a collection of movies on one WD MyCloud drive. I purchased another for the purpose of backing it up. I am hoping that I can set some backup program that will automatically do this each time I Add or move a file. I downloaded WD smartware which looked like it might be my answer, but the various options do not seem to fit my basic need. I have discovered that I cannot reliably select a group of files which contain folders of files and try to copy them to the second drive. The problem seems to come from copying the folder and then trying to copy the folder again when it halts saying that the file already exists.

I use both Prosoft Engineering's Data Backup & Bombich's Carbon Copy Cloner as tools to back up my network NAS drive to another NAS. Either of these may work for you.

Hello - I have two 1tb Network Attached Storage devices on my Apple network.
I'm unsure how to make one a backup copy of the other. Tools used for cloning the Macintosh HD to a backup device (like Carbon Copy, Super Duper, Time Machine, Apple backup etc.) don't seem to allow me to make a copy of a NAS drive on a second NAS drive.

Sorry to butt in, but could you explain this to me please. Typing rsync into the finder on my desktop finds no results. Is this a way of copying files without overwriting the files that are already the same?

you can't change the backup folder as far as I know, but you can choose to move backups. The information you need can be found in this article: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4946

The folder where your backup data are stored varies depending on the computer's operating system. Make sure the backup folder is included in your periodic data-backup routine.
iTunes places the backup files in the following places:

The procedure you describe is putting content from two different IDs into a single library, which can readily be done.
However, each item of purchased content will still be tied to the ID from which it was originally purchased, and they will be treated separately for purposes of Cloud, Match, Purchase History, etc.

You posted here so would assume you are also talking about running Windows.
Are the drives NTFS and use on Windows?
Are they Mac HFS formatted?
You likely will need NTFS for OS X in one case. to mount PC and use under Mac OS Lion

I think you have to start Creative Cloud application, uninstall those CC applications from "Apps" panel, then click "Preferences..." menu item, select "Apps", change "Install Location" to another hard drive, then install those applications from "Apps" panel again.

Nothing changed. I expected all my music to vanish from iTunes, so that I would have to re-import it. However, all the music remained, still on the old disk. At this point, if I were to recreate the library on the new disk, I would have all of my music twice.

Consolidate is still part of iTunes.
It is in iTunes menu File > Library > Manage library > Consolidate.
The article you linked to is old and it is (and was) a hacky way of doing it.
Just copy the entire /Music/iTunes/ folder to new location, hold Option (Mac) or Shift (Windows) when launching iTunes.

For Numbers to automatically put a formula in a new row, every non-header/footer row in that column must have the same formula. By "same" I mean like this:
B2=B1+1
B3=B2+1
etc.
or
D2=C2/B2
D3=C3/B3
etc.
Those are really simple examples. In both examples, if row 1 is a header row, it does not have to have the same formula.

Export it. Check with your friend what s/he can use. CSV is most likely to be useful. If they also use Thunderbird, LDIF works very well.

How Can I transfer TM back up from one hard drive to a different drive??

Set up Is:
1 iMac with internal 500 GB drive
1 external 120 GB FW400
1 external 500 GB FW400
1 external 1.5 TB FW800
Right now TM is backing everything up on my 500GB and it's full. I bought a new hard drive today(1.5 TB) and would like that to be the new drive TM backs everything to. How do I do this so TM is not effected by me changing the destination of where to back everything up to? Can I just copy all the TM back up files from the 500 GB drive to the 1.5 TB drive and then change the destination in the TM Preferences? Or what do I need to do?

Thanks Wullus,
It took all night for SuperDuper! to make its copy! WOW that was slow! Then I made sure all my data was copied over. Then I opened System Preferences for TM and clicked on the button that said to change disk. After I made that change TM did a back up and it works great! Im now using disk Utilities to erase the old TM drive and Im Zeroing out the data also which it looks like it is going to take it 5 hours to Zero out.

My work computer has 3 address books - 1 personal address book, 2 collected address book, 3 work related address book.
After a couple of years I would like to tidy up my address books & cut & paste some of them from here to there. However there seems to be no cut & paste or copy & paste feature that I can locate anywhere????
I can't drag & drop an address from one to another either.

Cut and paste a whole contacts information has never available because it entails different components. Cut/Copy and paste has always been available if you are only selecting one part of the information, but this means you have to open a specific contacts Properties.

In the left Directory Pane, select the address book containing the contact you want to move. You should see a list of contacts in the right Contact Pane.
Drag & Drop process:
* Left click and hold down on a contact in the list to grab, then drag that contact to the left and hover over the address book where you want to put the contact. Then release the mouse button to drop into that address book.
You can move more than one contact.
* Hold down 'Ctrl' key and use mouse to select and highlight various contacts.
* then use the D&D process - (left click, hold down on any highlighted contact to grab all highlighted contacts).

You can't currently transfer an account's balance from one account to another, nor can you use it to gift content. You shoudl be able to use your old account on your new phone, it's generally best just to have the one iTunes account
