How can I avoid Twitter to open Safari (vs 7.1.3) randomly?

Twitter opens Safari (version 7.1.3) randomly and spontaneously. It opens with the certified website.
I tried to copy a snapshot to give the exact picture but it does not allow that. In the browser it says "https [padlock icon] syndication.twitter.com/i/jot". If I click on the padlock a message window appears: "Safari is using an encrypted connection to syndication.twitter .com"
I tried to avoid that by increasing the security to the highest level. That failed. Any help would be appreciated.
I use a iMac from mid 2007, OS X 10.9.5; Processor 2.8 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo; Memory 2 GB 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM.

I have to migrate essbase 7.1.6 applications between two diff environments and OS.

Right at the tippy-top of the page, there is the following statement:
You use the Migration wizard to migrate (copy) applications and databases across Essbase Server instances. You can migrate to any platform supported by Essbase. For example, you can migrate an application from a Windows development server to a UNIX production server. If you have a 7.1.6 Essbase server, you'll be able to point your 11.whatever release EAS to that box and then do the migration. It's pretty easy and moves everything but the data, which you can get through either an all level export (big files, but no agg calc required if BSO) or level 0 export (smaller files, but agg calc requried if BSO).

I keep a lot of open windows e.g., 25 windows and many tabs on each) and like to work between a few at a time. The problem is that Safari reorganizes windows alphabetically. Once I open a new window, it take a while to find the windows I'm looking for. Chrome and Firefox list the open windows chronologically which I find much easier. The newest windows are at the bottom of the list.

With Safari open use the Command + T keyboard shortcut to open a new tab.

Export the slideshow out of iPhoto as a QT movie file via the Export button in the lower toolbar. Select Size = Medium or Large.
Open iDVD, select a theme and drag the exported QT movie file into the open iDVD window being careful to avoid any drop zones.
Follow this workflow to help assure the best quality video DVD:
Once you have the project as you want it save it as a disk image via the File ➙ Save as Disk Image menu option. This will separate the encoding process from the burn process.
To check the encoding mount the disk image, launch DVD Player and play it. If it plays OK with DVD Player the encoding is good.
Then burn to disk with Disk Utility or Toast at the slowest speed available (2x-4x) to assure the best burn quality. Always use top quality media: Verbatim, Maxell or Taiyo Yuden DVD-R are the most recommended in these forums.
If iDVD was not preinstalled on your Mac you'll have to obtain it by purchasing a copy of the iLife 09 disk from a 3rd party retailer like Amazon.com: ilife 09: Software or eBay.com. Why, because iDVD (and iWeb) was discontinued by Apple over a year ago.
Why iLife 09 instead of 11?
If you have to purchase an iLife disc in order to obtain the iDVD application remember that the iLife 11 disc only provides themes from iDVD 5-7. The Software Update no longer installs the earlier themes when starting from the iLIfe 11 disk nor do any of the iDVD 7 updaters available from the Apple Downloads website contain them.
Currently the only sure fire way to get all themes is to start with the iLife 09 disc:

Thank you for your response. My operating system is XP. When I try to open a pfd document I just get a series of letters and symbols in a dialog box. The top of the box says "select the encoding that makes your document readable". I can choose Windows, MS-Dos, or other (there is a long list to choose from). None seem to make a difference. If I save the document to my desk top I can right click on it and choose an option "Open with AdobeReader 9" and it opens fine.

I have a MDI form with a menu. When open a form by clicking the menu twice, it is opening two instances of the same form. It is eating up all resources of my memory.

U must be using the built-in OPEN_FORM in your code. Instead of that, check it using the following code....

Dealing With The Resume Feature of Lion
Managing Mac OS X Lion's application resume feature.
If you shutdown your computer you should get a dialog asking if you want applications to resume on the next startup. Simply uncheck the box to prevent that from occurring. Open General preferences and uncheck the option to Restore windows when quitting and re-opening apps. You can also install a third-party utility to control resume features on individual applications: RestoreMeNot or Application State Cleaner.
It is possible to completely stop the Resume feature although I'm unconvinced that it is that annoying. Nevertheless see the following:
If you have not yet done so you must first make your /Home/Library/ folder visible. Open the Terminal application in the Utilities folder. At the prompt paste the following command line:
chflags nohidden ~/Library
Press RETURN. Quit the Terminal application.
In the Finder navigate to the /Home/Library/Saved Application State/ folder. Delete the contents of the folder. Back up to the /Home/Library/ folder. Select the Saved Application State folder. Press COMMAND-I to open the Get Info window. In the Sharing and Permissions panel at the bottom click on the lock icon and authenticate. Set each of the listed entries to Read Only. Close the Get Info window.
Quit all open programs except the Finder (this is very important.) Next, navigate to the /Home/Library/Preferences/ByHost/ folder. Look for a .plist file with "com.apple.loginwindow." in the file name followed by some numbers in hexadecimal. Select the file. Press COMMAND-I to open the Get Info window and in the Sharing and Permissions panel click on the lock icon and authenticate. Set each of the listed entries to Read Only. Close the Get Info window. If you also find a file with the same filename but with a last extension of ".lockfile," then you should delete it.
The above should eliminate the Resume feature system-wide. Note that any future system updates or upgrades will likely undo these changes. You will then need to repeat this procedure assuming there are no major changes in OS X related to it.

Thank's for your efforts, and I just wish that this was the solution. Unfortunately, it isn't because, after double-clicking on the pdf in the website, it simply "opens" in another Safari window as a black screen - the pdf is there, somewhere, but not visible (either as an icon, or as a document).
When I right-click in the black Safari window, where the file is supposed to be, the only option available to display the file is to "Open file in Internet Explorer" (which is not what I want to do). Other options include saving or printing the pdf, which I don't want until I've confirmed that it's the form that I want. The same options are offered if I right-click on the file icon in the website.
Any other suggestions, please?

There are several possible causes for the Black Screen issue
1. Permissions in the Library: Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Include the option to check and repair permissions.
2. Minor Database corruption: Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild.
3. A Damaged Photo: Select one of the affected photos in the iPhoto Window and right click on it. From the resulting menu select 'Show File (or 'Show Original File' if that's available). Will the file open in Preview? If not then the file is damaged. Time to restore from your back up.
4. A corrupted iPhoto Cache: Trash the com.apple.iPhoto folder from HD/Users/Your Name/Library/ Caches...
5. A corrupted preference file: Trash the com.apple.iPhoto.plist file from the HD/Users/ Your Name / library / preferences folder. (Remember you'll need to reset your User options afterwards. These include minor settings like the window colour and so on. Note: If you've moved your library you'll need to point iPhoto at it again.)

As a Test:
Hold down the option (or alt) key key and launch iPhoto. From the resulting menu select 'Create Library'
Import a few pics into this new, blank library. Is the Problem repeated there?

I just tried on my Mc with 10.9. I send it from my @me.com account to the @me.com account and opened on the Mac and the photo was still a jpg.
I also send it to my [email protected] and opened it via webmail and it was just the same jpg.

How can I avoid music playback stopping when starting an App

Whenever I listen to music on my iPAD3 and switch from the build in original musicplayer to any App, the music stops to play.
I need to go to the taskbar and go to the very left to press the play button again.
That helps me to use the App choosen before and listen to the music.
If I open another App or switch there with "sideswapping", music stops again.

Revit must be using the discrete graphics and possibly a fair amount of cpu as well. This has nothing to do with memory or memory allocation (which you can't do on a mac since it doesn't use shared memory like some low-end PCs do. Getting hot is not a problem as long as the fans speed up to increase the cooling. If the system is overheating, it will shut down on its own.
