How can I change a calendar event color?

Hi,
Just spent too much time trying to figure this out, but how can I change events colors in my calendar?
I'm not talking about the color of a calendar, this affects all events, but event per event.
And I don't want to set multiple calendars.
One calendar, different events with different colors...
Please don't tell me that such a basic feature is not available when it is in bad amateur freewares...

P.S. Please disregard answers like "why don't you want multiple calendars", etc...

Very strange! All of my calendar events have reappeared. This has happened one week after downloading iOS 7
The calendar however, is not easy to use.
The typing function on the phone has become even slower. Have to wait for each letter to show on screen.

To set up CalDAV support for Google Calendar in Apple's iCal, follow these steps:
Open Apple iCal, go to Preferences and then the Accounts tab.
Click on the + button to add an account.

Event information will automatically refresh every five minutes. Keep in mind you can also force a refresh by selecting a calendar and pressing the Apple and R keys at the same time.
Calendars that are checked but disabled have already been added to iCal - you can remove them from within iCal.

There really aren't default outgoing font settings. They are only there for viewing. A workaround I have seen mentioned is to start you signature with the font style you want to use. When you start your message, click in that first part of your signature.

as angielynrhose said the font colour is normally defined by the theme, I've had themes in the past that produce white on white which is obviously useless, simply find another theme you like and install it, I've used many from Tehkseven in the past without issue !

When I record calendar events on my iphone or ipad I use a 24 clock, which is the basis on which my business runs. I cannot do the same on my Macbook, which is very frustrating and counter-intuitive (i.e. using am/pm). I asked my Apple support here in South Africa. The rep' said he could not answer immediately but would get back to me. I'm still waiting. Surely this is not a 'big' or 'unusual' problem?

How can you change which calendar you accept an invite into?

I have two calendars I use regularly. One is a Work calendar which has my work schedule that gets shared with multiple people. The other calendar is a Personal calendar which is only seen by me. Lately (or possibly always), when I receive a calendar invite from another iCloud user, (1.) I am not able to change the calendar which I accept it into and (2.) after I accept it to my Work calendar I am unable to go back to that event and switch it to a different calendar.
The only thing I was able to think up to try and resolve the issue was to set the Default calendar in the Mail, Contacts, Calendars settings to my personal calendar, but that didn't work either.
Any thoughts on what may be causing this or how to fix it?

I know how to change normal events from one calendar to another but when I accept an event from someone else it gives me no options to change the calendar.
