I need to change report according to client requirment.
1, Lay out change in std report.
2, How can I customize report to get cost element group wise with sub totals one by one.

1. Layout can be changes by going into report painter change transaction GRR2, selecting the report (by double click) and then going to Formatting-->Report layout.
2. Second question is not very clear to me. pls provide more detail.

How Can I change a report with base in another in the same dashboard?

I need to publish two reports in a dashboard, the first report is a list of values and the second report is a chart. When I click in a value of the first report, the second report must change with the value selected from the first report.
I first created the first report, and I changed the column properties in the data format, I selected treat text as: "Custom Text Format", the Custom Text Format is:

The second Report has the next filter: FIELD is equal to / is in @{NQ_SESSION.@}
With this the first and second reports works well, however, when I include the two reports in dashboard, the second report is updated in another window not in the same section.
How Can I change the second report in the same page or section where this the first report?

I am not sure whether this would work but worth a try. Create a third report which would call the 2nd report using iframe and GO URL. Name the iframe of the narrative view. And use the java script to update the iframe using objWin = window.open(<ur go url>, “biee”,”height=480,width=240,scrollbars=yes,resizeable=yes”);. I had used a similar method to integrate biee with mapviewer. How can i change the source of the current date to the sysdate of the database in oracle reports. I have more than 300 reports. is there any way to change quickly with opening each reports. I am working on reports11g on windows enviornment.

select sysdate into :Parameter_name from dual;
give your format mask at Parameter_name.

I am not an AD administrator and I do not have permissions to AD server. But I have admin permissions to a site in AD and using RSAT, can administer the site. How can I want run the reports listed below? AD is on Windows 2008R2 server.

Computer Accounts Changed needs auditing to be enabled for directory object changes. These are not predefined reports which you can simply run my friend. Can you please be more specific?

Is it possible to change the datasource associated with a report via web services consumer api's? I have a report that has a default database(a), however, we would like to, at runtime, have the report to query a different database(b). At the present time, trying to access the report while supplying it the new datasource information does not work with either the java nor the .net consumer api's.
Does anyone know if this can be done? If so, please provide the details of your success, so that I can try replicate the same procedure.

I've got a similar problem:
I'm attempting to follow the directions in the Upgrading and Migrating Guide for Leopard. The Mac has two hard drives in it. Batman contains the active server running 10.4.11. Magic is the hard drive that will run 10.5.2.
Since I'm moving from one hard disk to another (as opposed to an entirely different Mac), things ought to be fairly easy. But not for me. ;(
What I'm trying to do: Migrate the mail database. (I have managed to import users and groups; only the mail service will run on this machine.)
Problem: I can't change the owner and group settings on the various files in the var/imap and var/spool/imap folders (for example, so that they are owned by system or _cyrus, with group wheel or mail and everyone set to read only).
The owner and/or group often shows up as unknown (which is to be expected with the migration to a different hard drive). But how can I change these permissions?
Or is there a way to use a command to copy them from one disk to another? I tried ditto, but didn't get the syntax right (the files were copied to the same level as the imap folder rather than within it) and now I have a bunch of files owned by nobody that I can't delete because I can't change the owner.

My question is how can I pass the master report value in to detail (Child) report filter?
I mean I have one master report if I click on employee name then I have to pass the employee id in to details report filter. Then detail report will display data for that particular employee.
How can I achieve this one in OBIEE?

In that case, you should look at using Go Url. In your column formula for the employee name, create a hyperlink to the detail report and pass the employee id.

In the Report Group screen
Press CONFIGURE This is to attach any Drill Down reports.
Press the Insert Line icon
As is the screen may be used to insert a Report Writer report group. To add an ABAP, press other report type
Double click on ABAP Reports
Enter the name of the ABAP and ENTER

One way is to create a link based on that form and attach that
link with the report. Through links you can pass parameters

Try the 'report a problem' link from your purchase history : log into your account on your computer's iTunes via Store > View My Account (Store > View My Apple ID on iTunes 11) and you should then see a Purchase History section with a 'see all' link to the right of it ; click on that and you should see a list of your purchases ; find that book, click the arrow to the left of it, click the 'Report a Problem' button :

As I said in my previous post, column headers in Excel are merely row 1 cells. May be I missing something here, so please be more explicit with your question.
I guess you are using the Excel Report tools, and you want to modify an existing sheet. From my limited experience with the Excel Report tools, it is not possible to open an existing woorkbook (except as template...), so the answer to your question should be "Forget it"...
The work around is to use the example I pointed for you before, and either to write the whole new colum headers as a string array, starting in A1, or to write a single string to a given cell in row 1.
