How can i change the settings so that before download the firefox gives a propmt that same file name already exists, instead of automatically renaming duplicate files by adding .1 suffix?

When I download a file, if a file of similar name already exists in the same download folder, the firefox downloads the file and renames it by adding numeric .1 to the file name.
I want the firebox to give me a prompt that similar file already exist, rather than automatically renaming it by adding suffix .1.

CHANGE ID
The ID is used in the following locations and you have to change them.
Settings>Messages>Send and Receive
Settings>FaceTime
Settings>GameCenter
Settings>iCloud
and Settings>iTunes and App store
You have to sign out of ID (for iCloud you delete the iCloud account from the iPod) and sign in with other ID.
Note the following are resolved if you use Family Sharing (iOS 8 and later):
- Apps are locked to the account that purchased them.
- To update apps you have to sign into the account that purchased the apps. If you have apps that need updating purchased from more than one account you have to update them one at a time until the remaining apps were purchased from one account.
If the iPod has iOS 7 or later then you have the enter the password for Apple ID presently sign in Settings>iCloud.
Also, a Restriction can be set (Settings>General>Restrictions) the prevents changing accounts
NOTE yo have to be at least 13 to create a regular Apple ID. However, with iOS 8 and Yosemite you can create a new Family ID for under 13.

1. App Store>Feature>Apple ID (at bottom of page)
2. Tap on Apple ID>View Apple ID
4. Enter your password
5. Country/Region>Change Country or Region

How can I change a restrictions passcode without losing all the restricted settings?

We have two iPads for two boys... both are heavily restricted. One of my boys saw the passcode and I changed it by disabling and then re-enabling restrictions, only to be shocked when ALL MY SETTINGS were reverted to default and DIDNT come back after enabling restrictions again. How can I change the passcode on the other iPad without losing all the settings, especially the long list of blocked websites?

In order to change your Apple ID or password for your iCloud account on your iOS device, you need to delete the account from your iOS device first, then add it back using your updated details. (Settings > iCloud, scroll down and hit "Delete Account")
In order to change your Apple ID or password for your iCloud account on your computer, you need to sign out of the account from your computer first, then sign back in using your updated details. (System Preferences > iCloud, click the sign out button)
In order to change your Apple ID or password for your iTunes account on your iOS device, you need to sign out from your iOS device first, then sign back in using your updated details. (Settings > iTunes & App store, scroll down and tap your ID)
If you are using iMessages or FaceTime, you will also need to log out and into your ID there too.

How can I change a wrong e-mail adres in the Adobe ID for an E-Reader.

I have an Adobe ID for Digital Editions for my pc.
Then I connected an E-Reader to my pc and I had to authorize the reader with an Adobe ID.
I thought it would be the same as the ID for my pc, but the system send my the message that this ID already was in use and I had to give another e-mail adres.
I found this very strange, because it was for the same Digital Editions, and I had used the same adres and password before (My pc crashed a week before and I had to re-install Windows Vista again) but accidently I then typed in a wrong e-mail adres and that e-mail adres was accepted and from that moment I had two Adobe ID's.
That adres is a non-existing adres, so I wil change it into the correct one.
But how can I change it, I can't found any possibility to do so.

I found two files called AdobeDreamweaverSettingsPrefs (.xml and.tmp)
I removed them , emptied trash and restarted dreamweaver but the font stacks are sill missing.

You need to ask Apple to reset your security questions; this can be done by clicking here and picking a method, or if your country isn't listed, filling out and submitting this form.
They wouldn't be security questions if they could be bypassed without Apple verifying your identity.

I accidentally changed my default browser to Firefox. I need it back on IE. Now, my shortcut to IE goes to Firefox instead. So, I don't have IE to change it. How can I change my default browser back to IE through Firefox? Thanks!

Don't know what else to add. I always use Firefox. My husband refuses to. I have a shortcut for him to get to the internet, and it always came up to via IE. Now, I somehow accidentally changed the default browser to Firefox, so when using that shortcut, it takes him to the Firefox browser instead of IE. He is furious! How can I change it back?

You can make IE the default browser, that will reset some registry keys<br />
Control Panel > Internet Options: Programs<br />
Put a check in the box next to 'Internet Explorer should check to see whether it is the default browser'<br />
Start IE and let IE make itself the default browser.
Check the default settings in:<br />

How can i change authentication settings for existing account?

I have an email account from my work server that i have set up as a pop account in Mail. The problem is that the settings have recently been changed on the server and on other accounts but I cant find the same options in the preferences of mail.
What I need to change is requiring authentication on the outgoing mail server (smtp) of username and password. I can find no checkox in preferences enabling this. Our internet provider suggested creating a new account, as in account setup it is possible to check a box for requiring authentication.
If at all possible i would like to keep my existing account.
Does anyone have any ideas as to how i can do this?

In Mail, Preferences>Accounts. Select the account in question. At the bottom of the pane on the right of the list of accounts you will see 'Outgoing mail server (SMTP)' where your server details can be entered: underneath this is a button called 'server settings'. Click on this and you can set 'Authentication' to 'password' if neccesary, and enter/change the password for outgoing mail.

I've looked through all the FAQs I can find, and I can see how to change the settings each time I print, but I'd like to make it so that it always prints the pictures several shades lighter. I also need to recalibrate the printer, but this has always been a problem. Is there a way to permanently set up a printing profile that will always automatically apply?
I'm using Lightroom 3.

printer driver settings are saved in the profile. Or upgrade to LR4 which has this feature built into the Print module.

Hello, I have an email account on my iPhone that is from my old employer. I know how to "delete" the email account in my settings, but when I did that it removed all of my saved notes from within the past 6 months from the iPhone's original "notes" app, as well as removed my events that are saved in my calendar app. So I re-added the email account (which is an additional email account connected to my yahoo email that my employer added for me in the past (I no longer work there, so I don't need it). The strange thing is that when I bought my phone, I set everything up through a different Yaho account. How can I remove this email without loosing my notes and calendar events?

Ok, thank you, but my apple ID is all tied to my yahoo email. This is a separate, additional yahoo email the email that I want to remove is not linked to my apple ID.

In Safari, click Safari, next to the Apple Logo in the top left hand corner and select Reset Safari. This will open a new window which you click OK and resets Safari to default settings.
