How can i completely restore my iphone but keep my contacts and apps

i want to restore my iphone back to its completely out of box original settings.
however i want to continue to use my phone so i will need to update my data back to the phone when the software has been reset e.g. contacts/mail/notes/photos e.t.c. i was wondering how to do that?
i have an icloud account and also back up my phone but didn't know what happenss when the phone is reset and how to reload everything.

Csoud1 is correct. But if you still want to keep your iTunes Match subscribed and did not want to sync with your iOS devices, do the following:
On you iOS devices, just go to Setting > Music > disable iTunes Match

All of this is handled through iTunes. You must have iTunes installed on the comptuer. Also, you will not be able to see any files in Finder, as the iPhone does not give you access to that information. The only time you will ever see anything from the iPhone in Finder is if you have photos in the Camera Roll.
After you download and install iTunes, you would set up syncing your device with specific apps on the computer, to handle calendar, contacts, and photos. Run iTunes, and you can select all the music that is on there and delete it if you wish. Then deauthorize the computer from your account if she won't be playing any of the music you bought on your account (this can be done under the store tab). Phone B = phone that you want to copy from A

2) Yesterday I made the subclips with the In-Out Points and Command-U, the benefit is that I've seen the clip before naming it. Now I'm using markers, it's benefit is that I can write comment and (the later) clip name at once, the drawback is that I have to view to the next shot's beginning before knowing what the shot contains.
But now I found out that I can reconnect my clips independently to the format I converted the master clip to. I reconnected the media to the original AVI file and it worked, too! The more I work with, the more I'm sold on it... - although it doesn't seem to be able to read and use the date information within the DV AVI.
1) Ok, I tried something similar within FCE. Just worked, but the file size still remains. Which codec settings should I use? Is the export to DV in MOV with a quality of 75% acceptable for both file size and quality? Or would be encoding as H.264 with best quality an option for archiving, knowing that I have to convert it back to DV if I (maybe) wan't to use it for editing later? Or anything else?

If you just want this for printing, one thing you can easily do is crop all of the pages to remove the margins. For example, you can rop 2" off the left and right sides, and 1.5" off the top and bottom. Then print using a Page Scaling of "Fit to Printable Area".
To crop in Acrobat 9, select: Document > Crop Pages
be sure to select All for the Page Range.

Backup do not contain apps (or any media). As far as your contacts go, Apple isn't crystal clear on this ... they seem to indicate that only your Favorites and recent call history is backed up, not your entire set of contacts. To play it safe, backup or transfer your contacts to your computer in case they do not come back after re-loading your backup. There are apps available that can export/import contacts for you.

Either move the stuff you want to keep to an external drive or do a full backup first. If you go the full backup route you can restore just documents (which would include pictures) via Migration Assistant.

As given, removing from the library causes the songs to be removed during sync. So the space taken up is neccessary... What would you do if your iPhone where lost, stolen, damaged or needed to be restored?
If you ned more room for storage buy a bigger drive. In fact buy two, one to use as a backup for your library and all your other important files.

You can set the window transparency with something like:
theWindow's setBackgroundColor:(current application's NSColor's clearColor)
theWindow's setOpaque:false
I haven't seen a way using public APIs to blur behind the window, but I'm not sure about using ASObjC with stuff like Core Image, anyway.
You might also try something like setting the background to a gray color and play with the grayscale and alpha values (colorWithCalibratedWhite:0.0 alpha:0.2, for example).
