How can I convert web page to PDF? When I upgraded to 4, it does not work.

Since I upgraded to firefox 4 I can not convert web page to PDF, before there was a place in the upper left corner that said convert to PDF. If there is not a way to do this in 4 then how can I go back to the old firefox. If I can't I guess I will just uninstall FireFox.

    Remi,
How long did you hold these buttons for? Did you try more than once?  Have you tried letting it charge for a bit and trying again?

  • Can't convert web page to PDF in IE

Hi, I was using Window XP with Adobe Acrobat Pro 8. It's running pretty well. I just got a new PC with Window Vista Enterprise. When I installed the Adobe, I got problem asking for "AdobePDF.dll". Yes, I did hotfix #930627 and updated Adobe to 8.1.1 but there is still error. I can't convert the webpage to PDF in IE. I checked the plug-in in IE, all the PDF plug-ins are enabled. But if I clicked on the Adobe tool bar in IE, none of the menus responses. Same thing happens to the popup PDF menu.
    Can anybody help me out?
    Thanks.

  • How do I convert Web Page to pdf

Ok I have tried to find the answer to this question but no one seems to have the same problem I do. I would like to print my home page(with a few changes) as a brochure. To do this I copy the home page as a duplicate . Turn off the navigation menu in inspector. Then I edit the page. Then I go print, then view as pdf and the right margin and footer are cut off. I have tried to scale the page to fit but that ends up not looking like a full page. I have gone into inspector , page layout and changed width, height etc and that only ends up cutting out parts of the page. HELP !!!PLEASE!!! I have spent too many hours trying to make this work! Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  • How can I deactivate Adobe Acrobat 8 on a laptop with a monitor that does not work?

Or is there some work-around I can use?  I got a new laptop and have reinstalled the program but I keep getting a pop-up that wants me to register it again.  I have but it keeps popping up.  I read in the user's guide for this version that "Note: If you want to install the software on a different computer, you must first deactivate the software on your computer: Choose Help > Activation > Deactivate."  I figure that that is what the problem is.  So now what do I do? It is a little hard to "choose" when the monitor is black.
As an added complication I am now getting an error message on the pop-up that tell me "A problem was encountered while trying to send information over the Internet."  Help!!!
I am currently using a Sony Vaio T Series Ultrabook now with Windows 8. My old laptop was a Compaq and was using Windows XP Home Edition.  It was about 10 years old.
Thanks in advance for your help.
    Aimee

Can you plug in a remote monitor? You may have to use the Fn key with the screen icon typically along the function keys to change to the external monitor. If that works, then do what you need. You might also try putting the HD in another machine and see if it works there.

  • How can I convert a pages color document to a PDF Black and White doc.

How can I convert a pages color document to a PDF Black and White doc.  Or, covert the color to B&W in a new doc?

    > How can I convert a pages color document to a PDF Black and White doc.  Or, covert the color to B&W in a new doc?
The general idea is that you colour correct photographs once, archive, and convert with or without colour changes. The archived photograph is unchanged - or we would be colour correcting the same photographs again and again and again.
If you have a photograph with a corrected exposure, you can open the photograph in the Apple ColorSync Utility, apply a colour space conversion to a grayscale appearance using the preinstalled ICC profile, save the photograph under another name, and place that in your pagination.
If you have a paginated document with corrected exposures, and any such non-scalable bitmap or scalable spline graphics as you have chosen to add, you can render the pagination as a whole to PDF through the same ICC profile, carrying out the same colour space conversion on any and all objects.
Caveat: If you intend the pagination for certain processes, in particular offset lithography, then you are probably  expected not to render the type to grayscale, but rather to render it to single ink solid black. No software can determine what printing process you intend, you have to understand a bit about printing, and how to set up general colour space conversions in software. Ask your prepress provider, and if the answer is not prompt and proficient, pick another provider.

  • Firefox 13, and Acrobat X pro; I want the "convert web page to pdf" buttons I use in IE.

I'm running Firefox 13.0, and I have Acrobat X pro, all running in Win 7 64 bit.
How can I add to Firefox (AND to Chrome), the buttons I use in Internet Explorer that enable me to "convert web page to pdf", etc.?
Do I need to uninstall and reinstall Acrobat X pro?
I tried that once, and it did not add the Acrobat toolbar to this (latest) version of Firefox.
Is it possible to add the Acrobat toolbar buttons "convert web page to pdf", etc. to Chrome?  If so, how can I do it?
    Thanks,
                            Marc

The supported browsers are found at http://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/compatible-web-browsers-pdfmaker-applications.html. So, have you updated Acrobat or are you still sitting with AA10.0? Generally you do not need to reinstall Acrobat in such cases, but the updates and possibly repairs may be needed (not a reinstall).

  • Convert Web Page to PDF

We have an internal web based system in which we would like to 'print' one of the screens as a report.  However, when we use the Convert Web Page to PDF option, the resulting PDF doesn't look anything close to the web page.  We are wanting to use the Convert Web Page option so the links to the images remain and can be clicked on and viewed from our internal servers.
    Resulting PDF
Original Web Page we are attempting to convert:
As you can see, the two do not resemble each other very much.  The image thumbnails on the PDF screen are located at the bottom of the web page we are converting.
We are receiving the same results on two different computers running two different OS (Windows XP and Windows 7) with two different versions of Acrobat (Acrobat 6 Professional and Acrobat 8 Professional).
Does anyone have any suggestions?  The Convert Web Page option also doesn't work well on eBay Order screen either.  I stopped using it years ago but a coworker would really like to be able to share our QC Inspection Reports with other people in the company easily.
Any help and suggestions would be apprecitated.

    Bill,
Thanks again for the reply.  I am using the Convert Web Page to PDF selection on the Adobe toolbar which is available in IE.  I printed the page from File >> Print and it looks good except no links.  It is also printed in a Portrait style page layout.

  • Convert web pages to pdf in Firefox?

I just started using Firefox 3.6. Is there a reliable add-on for Firefox that will enable me to convert web pages to pdf's, complete with working links?
I have Acrobat 9 Standard installed. When I used IE, I had a toolbar that allowed such a conversion, but I haven't come across the same for Firefox.

  • Internet Explorer 9 Convert Web Page to PDF error

Hi I have a user that is having a problem using the Convert button to convert web pages to PDF's in IE 9. In some instances they get an error that says "Acrobat had an error converting to PDF". Printing to the PDF printer seems to work flawlessly but it isnt optimal when there are hundreds of pages that need to be converted. Anyone else seen an error like this? I have repaired the Acrobat X install (10.1.0) but still get the error. It does not happen to all sites and usually, attempting to convert a second (and even third) time succeeds.

Looks like this might be an intermittent bug, since Acrobat 10.1 added support for IE 9. Can you report the bug here:
    https://www.adobe.com/cfusion/mmform/index.cfm?name=wishform
Also, do you have the same issue in Acrobat directly when choosing File > Create PDF > From Web Page?

  • Error Converting Web Page to PDF?

Does anyone know what this means and why it just started occurring after I've had the program for a few years?
I tried the modify/repair function which does nothing and uploaded all updates but I'm forced to resort to copying the relevant info

Thank you for posting. Me too experience that error  when I tried to convert my payroll webpage to pdf but when I update my browser to the latest version I find no problem.
Are you mean the problem lies in the browser? rgmorey said he update to the latest IE version but he still has that issue. I don't have this problem and I use two browsers, IE and firefox.
I install a pdf creating tool and it can be served as virtual printer to save web page as pdf. And it also allows you to add password and compress text or image of pdf file to reduce the size. In my opinion, a better way to preserve webpage content to largest extent is to save webpage as image firstly then convert it to pdf file.

  • Lost 'convert web page to pdf'

Acrobat 9 pro, Windows 7, IE9 32bit.  Had in the menu bar the two comands 'convert web page to pdf' and (can't remeber the other, something about slect?).  Just recently noticed that they no longer show.  Don't see them in IE addon's, or anywhere to activate them.
Especially want the convert web page to pdf feature.

2gARY,  I know exactly what you're saying, because this same thing happened to me.  Using Acrobat 9, all updates:  the Convert & Select toolbars for Acrobat conversion WERE, DEFINITELY,  available a short time ago, in 64-bit IE (8 or 9, not sure, but now on IE9), and then one day recently THEY WEREN'T.    I KNOW this was true because my 32-bit IE will not open certain WebLink8 pages which my City Council uses to archive city council packets, so I always had to use IE 64-bit... and I was ALWAYS able to use the Convert toolbar.  I liked using it because all the hyperlinks WORKED when that was used, as opposed to "print" to "Adobe PDF," where none of the hyperlinks are clickable.  But now it simply disappeared.
I've read about all the "Acrobat 9 PDF Maker is not compatible with 64-bit IE," but I'm telling you, IT WAS, at least for awhile.
I can't "enable" the toolbar extensions, because they are NOT there under "Manage Add-ons."  I also already had my "Enable third-party browser extension" checked under IE9's Tools-Internet Options-Advanced.
I don't want to upgrade to Acrobat 10 just to get the toolbar back.  This is MOST frustrating!
