I would like to do something similar to this - but with a moving picture in a newspaper article instead. Or like the pictures that move in Amelie
Where would i start - I imagine the principle is pretty simple and the hard part is colour etc - getting the two images to blend and tie in with each other?
Any help appreciated of course!

I've done this before, I did it directly in FCP, but now I would do it in Motion... It's not really that hard.
You need to start with a mask, or an image with a transparent cutout so you can lay it over your footage. If you have movement on the newspaper, you'd group the iamge/clip with the newspaper and add motion to the group...
For the coloring, you can apply filters like 3-way color or color tint, or channel mixer...
I think the hard per may be actually designing the newspaper, which I would do in Illustrator, but you can also use photoshop, heck even keynote or pages and export an image...
It all depends on the elements you have in mind.
And if you plan to actually shoot a newspaper and place the image in there, it may be a bit trickier. you'd need to do some motion tracking there...
The key is planning. For best results in motion tracking you need tracking points which are best purposely included in your shoot.

I am having few avi video files which having (avi.avi) extension i couldn't figure out how its occured(they all video files captured from samsung galaxy note,and appeared noraml avi files but became avi.avi i tried removing one extension,eventhough it says having one extension when you look in to the properties of that file you can see avi.avi ,the problem is eventhough it playable in vlc sometime,when i try to import to premiere pro -it says the file is corrupted.

Hello, i am new here, and i have a project in my hand. I have to create a slideshow presentation on certain subject. I have completed the slideshow using a tool called,PhotoStage Slideshow Producer, with a bunch of 60 images. Now i want to add a small video effect in the beginning of the slideshow to make it look more professional. I want something really simple and i want to add it in between different images for some effect. I may be asking in the wrong forum, again. Might be able to create it with Filter > Render > Clouds with your foreground and background colors set to the lighter and darker versions of your selected color. Then you might need to use Filter > Blur > Gaussian Blur to smooth things out

Guys, I have a MacBook (from around Christmas 2007). I downloaded Flip4Mac and have little trouble watching streaming video. I went to a CBS-affiliate website and can't see the video that I want to see. I can watch the featured video fine. But the video that I want to see is one listed below the features. I followed the " downloaded Windows Media Player plugin with no chage. When I click on the link it kicks me over to the "MAC USERS: Video Troubleshooting Tips." I downloaded WMP to no avail.
What can I do?

It doesn't play for me either and the help file says Flip4mac is not supported "at this time" so I guess they don't like Macs.
The site says:
"Does the Video Player support Flip4Mac?
Not at this time. To download Window Media Player, click here."
And even that link to DL the player is messed up. It goes to something completely different.
It's a typical website run by typical website personnel who barely manage to get things working.
The main video is flash which is why it plays.

I spotted this video about a property for sale and I wonder how they got the movie to be so large (it fills the screen). It doesn't seem to be a QT or WM file.

How can I transfer this video from a disc to Final Cut Express?

There's an empty Audio_TS folder and a Video_TS folder containing VOB, BUP, and IFO files. Please keep in mind, I don't know what any of that means :3
I tried to use Quicktime but it said they're not video files... but it can play on the dvd player app.
It's a video my grandma wants me to edit, I have no information about like, how it was shot or anything.

You'll need to convert the DVD's VOB files into an editable format that FCE works with natively. MPEG Streamclip (freeware) can do the conversion, but you'll have to purchase the QuickTime MPEG-2 Playback Component from Apple for it to work properly: http://store.apple.com/us/product/D2187Z/A/quicktime-mpeg-2-playback-component-f or-mac-os-x ($19.99 USD from Apple). Thanks so much for your reply but that won't help in my current situation. Maybe I didn't make it clear. The latest version of Quicktime as new as it sounds doesn't support screen recording on a powermac G5 Motorola chip with OS 10.5.8 which is the highest os I can go with that machine. If I can sync the two computers so I can get the application to record from my newer computer then I'm ok. I just don't have the recording application for audio that I'm using to demo for the website on the laptop as it's about 10,000 dollars. So, I have to use the older computer to do the audio presentation and try to get the newer computer synced to it so I can use the new version that works on snow leopard to record a screen shot that will hopefully appear on my laptop instead of the old machine. Hope that makes sense. It's a bit confusing but in a nutshell it's like this:
1. I am a Pro Tools Instructor which is the state of the art application and recording device for audio and movie scoring and I have a new job where I make small snippets of tips using Pro Tools which I'd like to record with quicktime on screen as they happen
2. the best version of Quicktime Pro available for the Power Mac, OS 10.5.8 will not do screen recording on it.
3. I can use the Quicktime application from my newer laptop but I need to sync it to the old machine
4. I'm hoping but I don't know, if I do this, that I can record Pro Tools in action from my new machine buy seeing it on this laptop screen and then recording it with the new quicktime.
5. If I can sync the two computers, I'm hoping this can happen but I can't use my ethernet connection as I have it used to connect to my recording console and can't afford to buy anything new like an ethernet hub yo connect the two so I'm hoping that there's another way to connect them.

Are you running the 9.0.1 Update of the program and on what computer operating system is it running?
Is your video card/graphics card driver up to date according to the manufacturer of the card?
Is your computer optimized, including maintenance of pile ups of preview files, conformed audio files, and conformed video files?
Do you have the latest version of QuickTime installed on your computer with Premiere Elements 9.0/9.0.1?
What are your project settings and what are the properties of your source media? When you say that "used to be able to export...." is that on the same computer, same brand/model/settings for the camera recording the video now in use, same Premiere Elements 9.0/9.0.1?
Where player are you using for the playback of these exports?
Please give us more details on the size of the projects (then and now) as well as details of the customized export settings in your Share/Computer/ route. Premiere Elements 9.0/9.0.1 is only a 32 bit application running in 32 bit or 64 bit system. Not sure if computer resources might be taxed more so now than before.

If you are sure that you have sound in other apps - and if you can still hear keyboard clicks and get notifications, then system sounds are not muted. Try this and see if it works.
Close all apps completely and reboot the iPad.
Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Double tap the home button and the recents tray will appear with all of your recent apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner of the app that you want to close. Tap the home button or anywhere above the task bar.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.

You are going to need to change the email address you use with your old ID. Once you have got access to your old account you will then log into both accounts at the same time on your Mac and transfer your data to a single account. We can do this later, but need you to get access to your old account first.

The answer is not simple. First, are these images in the Camera Roll or the Photos app? Next, do you have Photo Stream enabled? Also, do you back up your phone to your computer or to iCloud, or to both?
If you have Photo Stream enabled then the images have already been distributed to anyone who is subscribed. Nothing that I can think of that you can do about that. The rest of this post assumes that Photo Stream was never turned on.
If the images are in your Camera Roll you can delete them from the Camera app. The won't go anywhere, however, they will still be in your backups.
If you back up to your computer using iTunes you can go to iTunes Preferences, Devices tab, and delete your backups. After deleting all of them, and also after you have deleted the images from the Camera Roll, do a new backup.
After deleting the backups do a Secure Delete of deleted files on your computer. On a Mac you can do this with Disk Utility; have it erase deleted files. On Windows you need to get a 3rd party "shredder" app.
If you back up to iCloud on the phone go to Settings/iCloud - Storage & backup - Manage Storage. Tap on each backup and delete it.
If you have photos in the Photos app that are NOT in the Camera Roll album you need to connect your phone to iTunes, click on the Photos tab, uncheck all of them that you don't want (or uncheck Sync Photos if you want all of them gone), then sync.
Then repeat all of the steps above.

I don't see an issue, but if you mean why didn't you get most of your memory back you need to see what else is using storage. Go to Settings/General/Usage. Wait a bit for it to calculate storage allocation, then when it finishes you can see how much storage each app uses.
