I recently bought my HP ENVY 4500 series printer and love it. The only problem I have is I can seem to work out how to do double sided printing, cant see any options and the booklet doesnt tell me...maybe I am missing something. Please help! I hate wasting paper

How you enable double-sided printing can depend on the applications from whick you wish to print. Example: if I print to my HP PhotoSmart from Safari, I get this print dialog box:
(Edit: OOPS! Note that I forgot to switch printers when i took the scene-shots, so ignore the "Brother" reference. It's should look the same for your HP.
Note the selection labled "Safari" near the bottom. If I change that form "safari to "Layout: I get this:
Note the option for two-sided printing appears for your selection. If I print from Word, the box is different:
The "Copies & Pages" option can be changed to "Layout" when you click it, again allowing the selection of two-sided printing.
If you tell us what applciaiton is vexing you, we may be able to give better-focused information.

This is the title of an apple forum question, and it is a bug in both Safari 5.1.3 and under, and I find it to also occur in Firefox browser (at least 9.* 10.*, 11.0), running on Lion OS (10.7.2, 10.7.3). See:

Under the newer Mac OS mentioned, and Firefox 10.2, 11.0, 9.*, if I select:
File -> Print -> PDF -> Open PDF in Preview"
(and view / save the PDF in Preview, you will see none of the links in the original web page are active
or using
File -> Print -> PDF -> Save as PDF...
same problem. Try this using any Wikipedia page, for example.
When this problem was posed in Apple forums, by a user of the Safari browser, it was found to be a bug (since Aug 2011) fixed in a Safari browser build 5.1.4 circa Jan 2012. I tried the newer Safari browser and sure enough the problem went away (except that links embedded in the PDF no longer appeared as blue text - ARGH - but "hover over" with the cursor showed the link and clicking the link in Preview viewer activated the link in a browser window).
So I post this to the Mozilla community, please fix this 'cause I don't want to have to switch over to Safari browser every time I want to archive a PDF with active links!!!!
P.S. I did a spot-check and with the newer add-on Enjoy Reading 1.0.1 and FF11.0. When the Enjoy reading formatted version appears in the browser window, all URLs/links are preserved and highlighted in blue, but when I print that browser window as PDF, the links are dead (don't work) even though they appear in blue in the PDF.
So, what's going on, can the Safari fix be researched and applied to FF?
Also, on some forums, people are responding, Well, try installing Acrobat reader. Well, I don't want to, Preview reader has worked fine for me for years.

I cannot say I agree. I could email you a PDF clipping or two (generated from Safari on Mac OS, in its native capability with no add-ons) that shows you otherwise. When I used PC platforms I did have to install PDF converters (tried both free and expensive ones) that did what I describe.
I cannot try the add-on you mention, '''Print Pages to Pdf.''' in Firefox. It shows in my browser and Mac OS platform "Not available for your platform." So I am guessing it was written for the PC version of Firefox.
The Mac OS has had a native PDF-creation functionality for as many years as I have been using it; I used PC prior to that, Win3.1 through XP and NT. And on my PC, I bought (and at work, my employer bought $$$, I had to justify three levels up to management the ability to create PDFs on my work PC) some Adobe functionality to CREATE pdf's (readin's free and easy, makin' em's costly on the PC).
I've gone and dug through some of my (Mac) doc and clipping archives, and I find that stuff I created after about Dec 2008 or so seems to eliminate all link functionality. When viewed in the Apple native "Preview" application (sort of Apple's equivalent to Adobe Acrobat reader, ships with the OS): link tags are highlighted/tinted, clicking a link opens a (default) browser and takes you there; hover-over the tag text shows the actual link. (Of course, not all old links are still VALID or point to the desired source.)
I could, in Safari or FF browser window and with no add-ons or Adobe paid products whatsoever, use the native OS method to create PDF's from any application (word processor, spreadsheet, browser, etc) via the menu File -> Print -> Save as PDF menu and create a PDF that had active hyperlinks. In Apple OS Lion 10.7.3, I still can't when it uses this broken WebKit interface, links are "dead" as a doornail until a fix is distributed in WebKit for a future Lion release. It seems this functionality died at least as far back as Leopard OS 10.6.8, but don't quote me on that. Also, my version of Pages 2009 version 4.1(923) (sorta like Word) STILL creates a PDF document that preserves (1) text hyper-links within the document, and (2) web links (in the PDF) that open the browser. I just made a test document.
When all you can see in the PDF is the tag text, there is nothing to copy-paste to follow any link. Also, hypertext links are often used by authors to create links to other points in a document: now even *that* is broken in the PDF version of the documents I retrieve from the web and print from FireFox (Broken in Safari 5.1.3 and earlier but fixed in 5.1.4).
Try this on the PC, in your browser and print a news clipping as PDF, do the links in the PDF work? What products do this, and what don't? I would bet the machine with a full Adobe suite this will work flawlessly. (Why should a PC user have to pay hundreds of $ to create this functionality in what I thought was an open standard (PDF)? But that's talkin' religion, let's not start that.)
Some folks might say,
go online and find the original source doc in your browser. Or,
go and add those links manually using the Preview edit add-link capability (hunh? no thanks) , or
save each item worth saving as an HTML archive instead of a PDF (argh, creating a whole directory in the process, I might add, including ads). Or,
who needs PDFs, everything is online.
Or, buy some Adobe product.
I think they miss my point. This is a real strange dumbing-down of archival PDF documents, or at least a destruction of the ability to use PDF as an archive that retains its links and references.
C.F. the guy who has archives of scientific papers, and the old material all cross-references nicely but after date X there are no working links.

If you want Muse to "pass through" your images and not adjust, compress, crop etc - you need to place your images in the lightbox EXACTLY at the right size, pre-cropped and prepped in Photoshop.
So if your light box is 800x600 the image you're dropping into that must be 800x600 exactly with no effects, rotation etc added to the lightbox frame. This stop Muse fiddling with your images, if they are perfect when inserted and you're not asking Muse to crop, expand, add effects etc. If it's perfect when inserted, Muse SHOULD also leave the resolution alone too, but I have not tried that one, but in theory, it should work.

If you do Cmd+Shift+3 you'll get a full screen image saved to your desktop as a jpg file.
Also, you can use Cmd+Shift+4 and you'll get a cursor which you click+drag to draw a box. When you release the drag the boxed in area will be saved to the Desktop as a jpg file.

Does the iPad come up with a "no AirPrint printers found" message? If so, the most common fault is that the printer isn't on the same WiFi network as the iPad. Your printer may also need a firmware update. Epson has some support information here that may be of help:

Those annotations are called "Labels", and they are only visible during editing when a cell selection is made within the table. If you need to have the labels on your final output, you can create labels in Text Boxes and position them adjacent to the table.

If you turn the wireless function on the printer on and select the print option for whatever it is you want to print, you should then be able to select the Envy printer (from a list if there is more than one wireless printer around) and print to it via the Ipad's inbuilt Air print app. For example, on IOS7 when selecting a photo to print, the options Icon should look like this: When you click the options Icon you should then be able to select the print Icon below: You should then be in a position to select your printer. Printing problem on HP Envy 4507 wireless printer.

When i try and print with my brand new HP Envy 4507, every piece of printing paper jams, i am loading it as per instructions, it sounds as if it is printing, but when i clear the jam there is no print on the paper. This should not happen with a brand new printer just out of the box.

I'd love to help you with this. Firstly, you'll need to have the full feature software for your printer installed on your Windows 8 computer. You can download and install the HP Software here - HP ENVY 4500 e-All-in-One Printer series Full Feature Software and Drivers Once the software is installed on the Windows 8 computer. You should have an icon on your Desktop for the HP ENVY 4500 Series. (If you don't have the icon on your Desktop, just go to your start screen and start typing "HP Envy" and it should come up) Here are the steps to enable Scan to Computer: Double click the icon on your desktop for the HP ENVY 4500 series. The printer assistant will open.Under Scan, select Scan to Computer.If scan to computer is already enabled. Select disable, and then enable again.Retry the scan from the printer.Note: You can also just start the scan from your computer as well. The printer assistant will give you more options to customize your scan. If the scan to computer will not enable, or if it still doesn't work after being enabled, try doing a network power reset. Let's leave the router on and unplug the power cable (NOTE: Do not reset the router.), then do the same with the printer, and shut down the computer. After a full minute, plug the router back in, wait for it to fully power up, then plug the printer back in and wait for the wireless light to become solid. Once both the router and printer are on, go ahead and turn the computer back on. Doing this will refresh the network connection. I see that you are having an issue with the printer not connecting with a wireless connection.
Please click on the following link that deals with when the 'Printer is offline' Message Displays on the Computer and the Printer Does Not Print: Windows 7.
Please make sure that you have the printer power cable connected directly to a wall outlet and not a power bar/strip. Here is a document that uses a LaserJet printer as an example but it is meant for HP products in general. Please click on the following link that explains the Issues when Connected to an Uninterruptible Power Supply/Power Strip/Surge Protector.

What is "Printer WS" for my Canon MX710 series printer?

In addition to "Canon MX710 series Printer," there is a "Canon MX710 series Printer WS" listed. I never print to the WS one, and would like to remove it from my printer list to reduce the icon options. What is it and why would I want to print to it? I print literally thousands of PDF files! Duplexed. How do I set this as a preference? PS: I work on a MAC OS X and I have Adobe Acrobat X 10.1.12.

I'm not trying to set the printer preferences, I'm trying to set the
Adobe Acrobat Printer defaults. If I don't click on "Print on both
sides of paper" in the Acrobat Print box, then that overrides my printer
default and prints the document single sided. In the "good old days" I
just chose "Duplex" under "Advanced" and then Acrobat would
automatically duplex all my print jobs until I chose otherwise. Now,
duplex is not an option under Advanced.... I was hoping it had just
been moved elsewhere.
