I have a iPod Touch with iOS 6.1.3. The podcast app was not working so I deleted it. I tried to download/reinstall from iTunes on my PC but it gives an error saying it "requires a newer version of iPod software" (odd since the app was on the device before with the same iOS version). i had the facebook app but i could never upgrade it and i was ok with using the outdated version but when i reset the ipod so i could gift it to a friend it obviously got rid of the app and now i cant downloaded because it says its not compatable, how can i download the version i had before i reset it?

Your only way is if you have the version that was compatible on your computer such as in the recycle bin/trash or in a computer file backup. In that case delete the current version that is in your iTunes App library and replace it with the older version. Then sync.

Delete the App Store app by dragging it and dropping it into the Trash. Then download and install the appropriate update combo for your version of OS X;

Did anyone know, how to open the podcast app? If I click on a podcast link in a Mail, I can say I will open with the podcast. Its possible to subscribe the podcast, but I can’t open it again.

I agree with Tugasintra entirely. To hide the Podcast app inside the Movies app is very strange at best. I too lost hours trying to find the podcasts that I had previously subscribed to. Before I found this discussion, which is not yet well indexed by Google, the only way I could access the Podcast app was via the notifications it generated!
Does anyone know how to create a shortcut to the Podcast app?

Apple or iPhone do not make the facebook app, but facebook does. They choose, who and what they support. You can feed back to them from iTunesStore, by seaching for the app and then clicking Support.

If so, is iTunes turned on as a Restriction?
If yes, this will remove the app from being available to use but doesn't delete the app.

It was not legitimately unlocked by the carrier it was originally locked to. ONLY the carrier it is locked to can authorize unlocking it.
In order to allow it to be used on a different carrier, the phone was hacked or jailbroken. An unauthorized modification was made to the phone. That modification has damaged the phone. You can not get support for it here or from Apple.

Microsoft Office is not available in the App Store. Instead, you can purchase it in the Microsoft site > http://www.microsoft.com/mac
Note that there are other apps that do the same, like Apple iWork (available in the Mac App Store) or LibreOffice, open-source and free. I recommend you to give LibreOffice a try.
If you are interested in Office for Windows, you can find it in the Microsoft Store or at shops

How can I delete the podcasts that I have not downloaded but show up as being in the cloud

How can I delete the podcasts that show up as being in the cloud when viewing them in the List mode? Most of these are past episode that I previously downloaded and then deleted. I know that I can look at my podcasts in Unplayed mode which removes those in the cloud but then I can't sort them first by podcast title and then by episode date the way I can in List mode. This was not a problem before iTunes 11.1 when I could simply delete those in the cloud.

That is discouraging. However I do notice that if I view my podcasts in My Podcasts mode they are grouped and sorted better than in Unplayed mode and the ones in the cloud are not shown. However although I prefer the one window view of List mode to the two windows My Podcast mode, My Podcast mode does at least indicate how many unplayed episodes I have from each podcast. This would almost be acceptable except that partially listened to podcasts, while still there, can only be identified by highlighting the podcast title on the lefthand sidebar, (although the number of completely unplayed episodes are listed on the left hand sidebar). As someone who often listens to a podcast over two or more days I fear I could forget which ones I have only partially listened to and would have to go down the entire left hand sidebar list highlighting each podcast to remind myself. I really find the List mode the most informative and easiest way to view my podcasts and really wish Apple had not messed with it

Sorry, but you can't. The process only works when creating a new Apple ID. With an existing ID you'll have to provide a payment method at least temporarily.

Try Amazon but look for the iWork suite of software. It's only sold separately as Pages, Keynote, and Numbers from the App Store.
