How can I eliminate my first sign in that pops up? It's incorrect. My second sign in choice is the correct one.
When I'm asked to sign in I am presented with a non-valid sign in. My 2nd sign-in offering is the correct one.

If you did not sign out of your Apple ID on your iPhone before creating a new one, then you will need to sign back in with your previous Apple ID and then sign out. If you do not remember your password and do not have access to the email account, then you can reset your password by using the security questions.

All photos captured or saved with the iPhone are stored in the Camera Roll which cannot be changed.
You can create an album to place photos in that are in the Camera Roll which does not duplicate the photo. It creates a pointer to the original photo stored in the Camera Roll. If the original is deleted from the Camera Roll, it will be removed from the album as well.
Import the photos from the Camera Roll with your computer as with any other digital camera followed by deleting the photos from the Camera Roll after the import process is complete. Create an album or albums for the imported photos on your computer followed by transferring the albums from your computer via the iTunes sync process which is selected under the Photos tab for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes. -

iCal was linked to a gmail account I canceled. When I open iCal, a message says iCal can't connect to the gmail account server. Clicking OK repeats the message. Clicking OK again causes iCal to quit. The easiest way to fix the hosts file is to restore it from a backup that predates the modification, or to copy the unmodified file from another Mac. If you can't do that, then do as below.
Triple-click anywhere in the line below on this page to select it:
open -e /etc/hosts
Copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C.
Paste into a Terminal window by pressing command-V. A TextEdit window should open. At the top of the window, you should see this:

255.255.255.255 broadcasthost
::1 localhost
Below that, you may see some other lines. The first 9 lines should be exactly as above, apart from differences in the blank space within lines. Otherwise you can't use this procedure—STOP and ask for guidance.
If the contents of the TextEdit window are as described, close it, then enter the following command in the Terminal window in the same way as before (by copy and paste):
sudo sed -i~ '10,$d' /etc/hosts
You may be prompted for your login password, which won't be displayed when you type it. Type carefully and then press return. If you don’t have a login password, you’ll need to set one before you can run the command. You may get a one-time warning to be careful. Confirm. Quit Terminal.
If you see a message that your username "is not in the sudoers file," then you're not logged in as an administrator. Log in as one and start over.
That will fix the hosts file. There is now a copy of the old hosts file with the name "hosts~" in the same folder as "hosts". You can delete the copy if you wish. Don't delete the file named "hosts". -

Using LabVIEW TCP/IP VIs, my LV application is accessing a database though a LAN, and through a second NIC, it is controlling an instrument. The instrument is connected directly to the computer NIC with a cross-over cable. I have made a permanent route for the IP address of the instrument in the IP route table. The LAN and the instrument have different subnet numbers. Using a packet sniffer, I don't see any traffic meant for the LAN going to the NIC connected to the instrument. The OS of the computer is Windows XP and the NICs are PCI cards.
The message traffic to the instrument suffers from intermittent delays when there is traffic going to the LAN.

Could you tell us a little more about the device that you are connected to? What you could try is to have a VI accessing the LAN, and a separate VI communicating with the instrument, and see how things play out.

My iPhone 4 and iMac (Outlook) were out of sync. I synced them through iTunes and I now have duplicates in Outlook. How can I eliminate them in Outlook. If you are trying to sync from the Outlook calendar on the PC and you are syncing with iCloud - that is probably why you are getting duplicate entries.
So therefore, if you are getting duplicate entries - it must be syncing the Outlook calendar on the PC. -

You cannot remove the Dock. You can move the app icons off the dock, move others onto the dock and keep the dock empty but you cannot remove the dock.

I finally solved this problem after toiling with it for a couple of days. Solution: Once you have burned your CD you must go back into iTunes to your music/playlists and select the playlist you just burned and click file; print and you will get the mosaics that we have been accustomed to. I was on hold with Apple Support when I found this myself. Yes......!!! Problem solved..for me anyway. Good luck!
