How can I find out what apps are on my step daughters phone without the phone? She is on my phone plan but does not live with me and I am concerned about the apps she may be using.

Thank you for reaching out to us. We certainly know the importance of being able to know what options are available with your device. With apps on devices, thoses are specific to the phone itself, so there is no open forum to view what apps are downloaded. The only option would be to physically review from the phone, or if you have the same Apple ID you can log into it and view from there. Please let us know if you need anymore assistance.

I don't believe that there is a way to do that. I would sugest using automatic downloads to keep your apps synced across both phones. You might also want to note that just about any app you have ever download will be available for free download via icloud.

How can I find out what calendars are in my .mac account?

A simple question, but I am struggling with the answer.
I have used ical since it first came out and have found it brilliant and very easy to use and access both from the office and also from home. However because I have used it for so long I have had various changes in staff. I am keen to find out if there are any 'other' calendars created by anyone who has/had access to ical via my .mac account.
The calendars must be stored somewhere online? How can I find out what calendars I am hosting?

You can open the App Store app > Purchased > Not on this iPad and you will see a list of apps you own that are not installed on the iPad. I believe the newest ones are listed first.

What do you mean by being tied to your wife's phone ? For things like contacts, calendars, safari bookmarks then what account do you have in Settings > iCloud on your phone ?

In many apps, Edit > Special Characters will bring up the Character Viewer. Click on the gear wheel at the top left and choose Customize to add categories if you do not see what you want at first. Drag/drop or double-click to input.
I don't think you can input α from the keyboard unless you activate a Greek keyboard layout, which is probably not worth the trouble.

I have used my appeID to load some games to my son's friends iPod's and have found that the iTunes gift cards that were loaded under my ID have been used very quickly ($100 in 2 months) when I have not been downloading things. You might want to consider contacting the store support staff at http://www.apple.com/emea/support/itunes/contact.html and request your account be locked for a period of time. You need to stop allowing uncontrolled access and that may be he bet way.

If you are running OSX 10.9, open iTunes and go to the iTunes Store (top right of the window). Click on your account name (on the top left of the window) and click Account. Under iTunes in the Cloud, go to Manage Devices. Then remove anything you dont want in there.

Something on my iPhone 4 (fully updated) is constantly trying to connect to the internet via 3G, costing me a lot of money when I am not connected via WLAN! I can't work out what it is, but presume it is an app. How can I find out what is doing it?
I have tried deleting the cache, resetting the phone, etc. Nothing has worked. I even turned off 3G, cellular data, etc. and it STILL connected. How does that work?!

thanks for the reply but are you sure about this? What difference would it make? Why 5 apps?
Even if it does work, which I doubt, at some point, I will have to resync ALL my apps again and surely the same thing will happen again, and I will be none the wiser. I still won't know which app it is. There must be a way of finding this out.
Any ideas?
What is really freaking me out is how it is connecting to my carrier (who is charging me) with Cellular data switched off.......?
