How can I fix this red blinking SYS LED light?

I am having problems with the extender losing signal and the GPS turns red and the SYS light is slow blinking red.  I just spent 40 minutes on the phone with a Verizon tech who had me unplug it and just pretty much said "Sorry, there nothing we can do"!!!!  This is happening several times a day for the past 2 weeks. 

I am having the same problem with a blinking red sys light and red gps light. The system has been working fine for months and without my changing anything at all, it stopped working yesterday. I am using the correct power supply. I have powered off and on the gateway and the extender several times. My zip is 94306 (although Verizon shows my device as nearby Los Altos 94022 where I think the tower might be). I have AT&T Uverse as my ISP with a standard 2wire modem/router gateway 3800HGV-B.     The red circles with squares inside them often mean that the sync with your iTunes went bad.
    Try re-syncing your device. Can you play these tracks in iTunes?
    If a re sync does not work then you may need to rebuild your iTunes Library.

    never done this myself have always been lucky with the resync.

    See if any of the following fix it.
    Try logging out of your account on your phone by tapping on your id in Settings > iTunes & App Store and tap 'Sign Out' on the popup and then log back in.
    If that doesn't fix it then try closing the iTunes store app via the phone's multitasking bar and see if it works properly when you open the app : double-click the home button to open the taskbar and then swipe or drag iTunes from there up and off the top of the screen to close it, and the click the home button to close the taskbar.
    A third thing to try is a soft-reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the equivalent of a reboot.

    The pre-2006 iMacs this forum covers cannot run any higher than OS10.5.8, and Apple pretty much stopped pushing out any updates for anything other than the current version.
    If your iMac is a newer model (covered here: iMac (Intel) forum) you can run at least 10.6.8, available for purchase rather cheaply here:

    and it's possible you can run higher depending on your iMac variant. So find your iMac variant, please do "About this Mac" from your Apple menu and, in the resulting window, click the "More Info" button to get this screen:

For an iMac, it will either be in the format, "PowerMacX,X" or "iMacX,X" depending on the age of your iMac. The trailing numbers where I put Xs will help us help you determine what exact variant you have and what upgrade options are available.
    Also tell us how much RAM is installed. Newer OS versions often need more RAM that older iMacs shipped with.

    do a reboot.  press and hold both the home and sleep buttons intil you see the apple logo.  ignore the red slider.  Also, make sure the mail app is fully closed.  doulbe tap to see the task bar, then swipe up on the mail app.

    1)   Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red "slide to power off" slider appears, and then slide the slider.
    2)   Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.

      Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

    Try closing all apps and reboot the iPad. Clear Safari again as well.

Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner of the app that you want to close. Tap the home button or anywhere above the task bar.
    Go to Settings>Safari>Clear History, Cookies and Data.
    Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.

    Double tap home button quickly in new row of icons at bottom, tap and hold your Message Icon until the Red Minus Sign appears, tap it to delete from background memory. Then slide all the icons to the right, all the way, see if the Lock Icon is present, if locked, unlock it. See if Message is better, if not, Reset iPhone, hold both home and Power buttons until the iPhone restarts itself, ignore the "slide to power off" let the iPhone restart itself, usually takes about 10 seconds of holding both buttons.
