How can I get a refund from an App that I bought?

How can I get a refund from an app that I bought? I bought an app called Package for MS Office on the 8th of January and I also reported a problem and they have not got back to me with a response. It has been 3 weeks now and I am still waiting for a reply back. Very disappointed.

I have now got an openoffice which I got from the internet. But the main thing is I paid £20.99 for this app and It is irriatting that the people who work for apple havent got back to me when I first reported a problem. I reported to them again and hoping that they will eventually get back to me.

  • How can I get a refund from another country that does not have an Apple Store?

While going to the US for the summer, I went to the San Francisco Apple Store.
I saw the Apple Gift Cards, and I was wondering if they would work on my Taiwan Apple ID, so I bought a $25 gift card and a 4 cards bundle pack each with $10 inside.
But then now, coming back to Taiwan, I realised the gift cards was only valid for US users so I asked for support from Apple
and this is what they replied:
I understand that you are unable to redeem the gift card to your account, the card purchased in another country. I know you must be eager to get this issue resolved at the earliest. I can do my best to help you.
Jonathan, I'm sorry to inform you that, iTunes Gift Cards are only redeemable in the iTunes Store for the country that is listed on the back of the card. I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
This did not help me at all...
There is only resellers in Taiwan, so there is no way I could get a refund from Taiwan
so what should I do in order to get my money back?
Or in other ways, an exchange upon other Apple products?

  • How can I get a refund for an app that doesn't work?

I just purchased "DVDRipper Pro 3.2.19. However, it just doesn't work. I was unable to get contact with the developer website to ask for support. Could anyone tell how can I get refund from App Store. Thanks.

Refunds on downloaded software are virtually nonexistent.
I have had cases where I purchase software on a physical disk. If I don't like the software I can uninstall it from my computer and sell it legally. Recouping most of my loss.

  • How can I get a refund on an app that doesn't work

I bought an application today and the application works on the orignal ipad on the old IoS 4 software but not the new IoS 5 software on my ipad 2. I have tried to remove the app and re-download the app incase it was corrupted, but still had the same problems. As this app is broken and doesn't work as advertised is there away for me to get a refund on this application that is obviously broken?

    Hey david798,
The only way at this point to get a refund on an app would be using Apple's direct online support feature "Express Lane." It's actually quite a cool feature. I believe reimbursment as of right now only has email support but the reps are extremely fast, thourough and helpful. I'll toss you a link at the bottom of this page, go ahead and choose all the applicable options and give a detailed description about the situation and I think they will take good care of you.

The terms and conditions you agreed to do not allow for refunds.   However, there's no harm in asking; it may be the reason for not wanting your purchase has technical connections or in some way exposes someone to social problems.

  • How can I get a refund from the app store?

    Hi,
I bought an game from the app store for 4.99. The description was written to be completely misleading and misrepresentative of the product (BADASS DUCATI: Street Monster).
I notice the same developer has a number of apps. on the store following the same format. Also there are more under a different developer name.
I emailed apple for a refund. No response (disappointing). I emailed the developer. No response (no surprise). Surely apple must have some responsibility to ensure that apps are correctly represented in their store and, by taking a commission on the transaction, should take some ownership of the contract of sale?
Any suggestions how to get a refund? how to report these bogus apps so that apple can clean the shelves of rogue developers?
Regardless of the success of a refund,  to see the apps get pulled and the developer banned would at least demonstrate that apple care about their consumers and are not supporting the app store as a platform for conmen.

    There are no refunds.  Sorry.

  • How can I get a refund for an app that did not download/do not now want

I decided to buy an app that cost £39.99. It did not download & still has not 24 hours later. Meanwhile iTunes have emailed a receipt for the payment. I have clicked on Report a Problem on the receipt but it does not lead anywhere. Suggestions please.

Once you buy it you have bought it and Apple generally does not do refunds.  You can ask but it will have to be an exception.
How to request a refund for an iTunes or App Store purchase - http://www.imore.com/how-request-refund-itunes-or-app-store-purchase
What can be done is try to redownload the app.
Downloading (using iOS or computer) past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store - http://support.apple.com/kb/ht2519 - enabled with iTunes 10.3 and newer; not all media formats are available in all countries (see: iTunes in the Cloud, iTunes Match, and iTunes Radio availability by country - http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5085); apps, books (not audiobooks), music, t.v. shows, and movies (some - not all studios have permitted this). Downloading previously purchased movies and TV shows requires iTunes 10.6 or later. Discontinued items not available. For items not included in the iCloud list (e.g., ringtones, audiobooks), or locations or computer systems where iCloud is not (yet?) available, you only get one download per fee paid. Apple recommends, "... back up your iTunes library. " (http://support.apple.com/kb/ht2519). Additional tip at https://discussions.apple.com/message/24176756#24176756 Select the iTunes Store on the left side of iTunes if you have the sidebar displayed, or with the button at the top right. Click on Purchased on the right side under Quick Links (see https://discussions.apple.com/message/26364186#26364186) You can re-download your available previous purchases.
