How can I get Acrobat 9 to install on my MacBook (as part of Design Premium)

Question

Hi Everyone
Have just installed Creative suite 5 on my Mac (OS v10.6.6). It seemed to install ok. I then tried to install the accompanying Acrobat 9 Pro. It keeps reporting a an error. I have copied and pasted the error log below. sorry it's so long but it is meaningless to me and i didn't know which bits to leave out. Any help would be gratefully received. i am not a techy so simply clear instructions aimed would be fantastic.

Because it was the newest, greatest thing at the time.   Of course, I waited a bit... I never buy .0 releases. Frankly, same reason I have retail discs for most versions of apple's os offerings over the years, just keeping my systems up to date.
Honestly, when it came out, I balked at the app store and the fact that I had to make all my purchases through there, but now I kinda wish it'd been around back then. I'd have easy quick access to a binary I could install off a memory stick.
Here's the deal: I had a mother in law looking for a laptop for an upcoming trip, a friend with an old macbook air (v1.1) he didn't want anymore, and the ability to put the two together. The only problem is getting the air up to a version that can run a newer version of chrome for compatibility with the education program she's working with online. 
I can probably get it running on safari... we haven't checked yet.  It may not be horrible to be stuck on 10.5.8.  We'll see how it shakes out. 
Anything is better than the G4 iMac flat panel (the desk lamp model) she's using right now at home. It's pretty, but I'm shocked it still runs.  A testament to Apple quality if I ever heard one.  That thing is at least 12 years old.
