How can I get another Installation Disc (DVD) for my CS5 Application

I lost one of my DVD installation discs from my CS5 set. I called Adobe and they said it was an older version and they don't have a link for me. Does anyone know how I can get ahold of the CS5 Application disc???

Welcome to the forum.
Adobe used to offer replacement discs for a minor charge.
However, that was usually for ONLY the current version - nothing available before. Once a version passed into history, the replacement discs were history too.
With the advent of Ps CC, I am not even sure if the Ps CS 6 replacement dics would be available now.
I would contact Adobe Customer Support (not Technical Support), and inquire.

    * At least 3 GB of free disk space; 4 GB if you install the XCode 2 Developer Tools (I recommend 20GB minimum)

How can I get another vista disc to reboot my laptop

Hi all
I had a system crash about a year ago due to a virus and one of my friends wiped my laptop and installed xp saying it was better than vista.
However, I have had nothing but bother with it for about 6 months now it just doesn't work the same and obviously I can't update the system either.
I have hunted for the vista discs that came with the laptop but I can't find them anywhere and it will cost me a small fortune for a shop to reinstall vista for me even though I have my product key.
Is there anyway I can get this disc from toshiba or Microsoft to reinstall?

Normally you have to create the Toshiba recovery disk yourself using preinstalled Toshiba recovery disk creator but now its too late for this.
So you can order a recovery disk from Toshiba directly as already written or you use a Microsoft disk to install Windows. After this you can download and install all drivers and tools from official Toshiba website.

Apple may still supply the original restore CDs/DVDs for a nominal fee. Have a your serial number and model information available when you call them.

I am not sure why you can boot into diagnostic OK but not install from the cd. I think it is a dvd not cd. You sure you have the correct cd/dvd?
You can boot in startup manager on your machine by holding down the option key when you poweron. This will give you a little more info. Click on what you want to boot the click on the right arrow.

If you have a way to wipe 10.6.8 off, you can then reboot your machine (with no OS) and since your system came preinstalled with Lion, Internet Recovery should occur which will boot to Apple's servers into a Recovery HD for you to redownload and install Lion.
To be safe I would first make a clone of the current installation using Carbon Copy Cloner or SuperDuper!. This way you have a way to recover.

How can I get HD quality on DVD

OK, how can I get HD quality on DVD like I can for youtube? I use mpeg2 or H.264 for my youtube videos and they look fantastic on there. I use the NTSC widescreen for my DVD's and they look like crap compared to my youtube videos. I even notice that my video ends are cut off a bit compared to my youtube videos. It's like it is burning the dvd's in standard instead of HD. I have a canon HF200 HD camcorder. Is there a way to get that same quality on DVD? keep it simple for me. I'm using PE7

Do you mean that you wish to Burn BD material to a DVD disc, or something else?
DVD is, by definition, SD material, and was designed to be viewed on a CRT TV. It is not HD, and that is what BD is all about. You cannot alter the DVD-specs., as they are written in stone. However, one can do things with a blank DVD disc. What they do, depends on what one needs.
Please let us know exactly what you want to do, and we can give you tips.

The ! turns up when iPhoto loses the connection between the thumbnail in the iPhoto Window and the file it represents.
Most simple solution: restore from your backup. If you don't have a back up, now is a good time to start.
What version of iPhoto? Assuming 09 or later
Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Repair Database. If that doesn't help, then try again, this time using Rebuild Database.
If that fails:
Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. (In Library Manager it's the FIle -> Rebuild command)
This will create an entirely new library. It will then copy (or try to) your photos and all the associated metadata and versions to this new Library, and arrange it as close as it can to what you had in the damaged Library. It does this based on information it finds in the iPhoto sharing mechanism - but that means that things not shared won't be there, so no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your events, albums and keywords, faces and places back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.

Since that password is tied to his Apple ID, you will need to contact Apple; as far as I know, it will be a somewhat lengthy procedure and you will need to furnish necessary paperwork (including a death certificate as far as I know). Best to either stop at an Apple store or call them to find out exactly what it is you need to do.
