i first updated my phone, through my phone since i had the ios 5..
it then told me to connect to my computer, which i did, then it wouldn't
let me restore it because my computer won't let me get any updates
because my "network connection is timed out"
my network is not timed out.
I WANT THIS FIXED, i'm tired of driving to the apple store every few
weeks because i can't take care of my updates by myself. PLEASE HELP!

What version of iTunes are you running on your computer? You need to update to the current version.

Delete the broken links in iTunes then look at your purchased list to redownload.
If this happened because you were deleting files from the iTunes folder in Finder, don't. You have to let iTunes do all the deleting and moving or you will end up with broken links.

You don't use Airplay. You set up Home Sharing on both and under the Computers section of AppleTV you'll then find it under Movies (or Rentals if rented), assuming it's in a compatible format.
