How can I install an older version of FireFox to test our site?

I am in QA for SimpleTuition. We get feedback about showing hidden fields on older versions of Firefox, but I cannot test the fix on the current version. I need to install Firefox 5.?

For those that really need to test an earlier version of Firefox, find your system and the Firefox version you want in releases, download and start the install.

  • How can I download an older version of Firefox that got deleted but was compatible with the PC Mac Version 10.4.11

I have the 1.5 Ghz PowerPC G4 Mac OS X version 10.4.11 and I inadvertently deleted the old Firefox browser when I download Firefox 4. The original download did not recognize the limitations of the system's inability to support Firefox 4.
How could I download and install an older version of Firefox that is compatible with my Mac

Firefox 4 requires at least OS X 10.5 and an Intel Mac.

  • Flash player v10.02.159 won't install - how can I install an older version?

Hi all, any help will be appreciated.
I've read all the relevent posts in this forum and tried the various suggestions. (used the Adobe uninstaller, used the various packages on the x64 help page; clean installs and uninstalls with RevoUninstaller Pro) shockwave for director is on Firefox, but would not even download on IE. (I don't use IE anyway, but...)
    I am running XP pro x64. I have Firefox v3.6.16 and Internet Explorer v 8 32 bit. I don't have the 64 bit installed.
When I updated to v 10, it wouldn't install on either browser. The error message for the Flash player 10.2 installer reads:
I am also running Chrome. I never updated the player, so it works on there (thank goodness!) (Nothing shows in the extensions folder)
I tried to install an older package, flashplayer 9r280_win.exe and Brothersoftdownloader_for_Adobe_Flashplayer. - clean installs and uninstalls each time., also with no luck.
Can someone tell me how to install an older version until the 64 bit version works for me? Or - if there is a fix that has not been posted yet - I'm game to try.

You could try if the MSI installer works better; download it from http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/fp_distribution3.html
If it does not, archived FP versions can be found at http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/142/tn_14266.html

  • How can I install an OLDER version of iTunes-- on a Mac?

I upgraded to iTunes 9.1--- and now it won't connect to the iTunes store. How can I go BACK to an older version. This is terrible--- and Apple is NOT HELPING!
It seems to be a common problem.
    Help!

to downgrade to a previous iTunes version, you could try this user tip that seemed to have worked for some:
    +1) Quit iTunes.+
+2) Delete iTunes from your Applications folder.+
+3) Go to your ~/Music/iTunes folder. Delete or rename the "iTunes Library" file.+
+4) Open the "Previous iTunes Libraries" folder and look for the backup of your old pre-9 library; it should be dated at about the time you first ran iTunes 9. Copy it back out to the ~/Music/iTunes folder, and rename it to "iTunes Library".+
+6) click here to download iTunes 8.2.1. The page says it's for G3, but the Read Me file says it'll run on G4, G5, and Intel too. Open the disk image and run the installer.+
+You should now be able to run iTunes 8.2.1 again.+
+And your iTunes will restore to before you upgraded and you won't lose anything+.

  • How can I get an older version of Firefox (2,3 or 3.5)?

I need to use an older version of the browser to access a secure network for my job. I need version 2, 3 or 3.5.

If it is just for one site then the portable version of Firefox 3.6 or older may be of interest as it will be separate from your Firefox 6.0 install. You can install it either on hard disk or on a usb flash drive.

  • How can I use an older version of Firefox?

So I downloaded the portable version of Firefox and now it's telling me to drag the folder to my portable drive, but when I drag it onto the drive picture right next to it, it has a circle with a line through the middle not letting me drag it there.... so how do I get it on my drive?

  • How can I download an older version of Firefox before 3.6

I am trying to do transcription from a website. I did one file before my typing stopped showing up in the "box." I emailed the company and they suggested downloading an older version than 3.6. ('Doesn't make sense to me, but I guess I had better try what they advise before complaining any more to them.) I can't find instructions to download '''pre'''-3.6 version.

  • I am taking an online course at community college and the course requires an older version of Firefox for it to work. How can I download an older version of Firefox

Site requires Firefox 2.0 or 3.0

There were three major versions of Firefox 3 as in 3.0.*, 3.5.* and the still currently updated 3.6.*
If it is just for this one thing and to make it portable even if you have a flash drive, perhaps the Portable Firefox would be of interest.

  • How can I install pre-V7 version of Firefox, I am not happy how the new versions work with some websites, in particular with BBC and C4

The new versions of Firefox do not let me save favourite programs on the BBC and C4 (might be more but I haven't tried others), i find it rather annoying as previous versions worked great

Thank you Swarnava. I actually need any version before 7 whether that would be 6 or 5 or 6.5 from and including v7 is a problem.
Also I wouldn't really know what to do once I clicked the above link, I would need a more step-by-step

  • How can i instal an older version of an iphone app?

Two apps (NYTimes and NPR Player) stopped working on one of my two iphone 3G's:  the app logo comes up, then it's back to the home screen.  One of these apps (NYTimes) was recently updated, so I figured I'd go back to an earlier version.  I was able to retrieve the .ipa file from the recycle bin, put it in the folder with the other apps, "hid" the recent version (after having de-installed it from the phone), but I can't seem to be able to fool iTunes into installing it on the phone.  I guess somewhere it knows what the latest version is, and won't accept any substitutes.
My other 3G is identically configured but it can (still) run these two apps.  I know it's an old model, but it's still useful.  My "main" phones are two 4S's.
    Any thoughts or ideas?  Thanks,
    -- Bob

You shouldn't need to.  Just update the iTunes application or download the newest version from here.

  • How can I get an older version of ibooks?

Sorry if this question has previously been answered....I cant find a direct answer.
I purchased a 1st gen ipad in pristine condition.  Unfortunately I cannot find an older version of ibooks anywhere. istore will not allow me to install the newer version because of compatibility issues. ( I have OS 5.1.1 ) I am not offered a compatible version through the store. Reading is important to me and I love the ipad. Is there anything I can do?  Thanks in advance.

HI! I have a somewhat similar problem I have an iPad with an iOS 5. I already have downloaded the iBooks and been using it for a long time. The problem is that i used my Apple ID on an iPhone 4 with an updated iOS 7 and downloaded iBooks on that device. When i checked my iPad, i can't access the iBooks anymore. It started to reinstall by itself but it is only installing halfway. Same problem i have with my Twitter app. I have already logged out my Apple ID on the iPhone 4 and tried to reinstall iBooks on my iPad but its says that it is already iBook 3 and that it is only compatible with iOS 7. How can I reinstall the older version of iBooks without losing all the books that I have placed on it? Please, i badly need your help. Thank you!

  • How can I install a second version without affecting the first?

How can I install a second version of FF without affecting my original installation?

You can install multiple Firefox versions via a custom install in different installation folders and only use the older Firefox version when you really need it.<br />
Do a custom install and install each version in its own program folder to use multiple Firefox versions.
    * https://support.mozilla.com/kb/Custom+installation+of+Firefox+on+Windows
    * http://releases.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/releases/
Make sure not to start Firefox after the installation has finished.<br />
Create a new profile exclusively for each Firefox version.<br />
Create a desktop shortcut with -P "profile" appended to the target to launch each Firefox version with its own profile.
