How can I intercept search-on-enter in RichTable?

JDev 11.1.2.0.0
I need to intercept the search-on-enter thing in the RichTable. I want to do some checks on the search fields before the search is executed, possibly canceling the query, and I want to bring up my blocking glass pane before the query is executed. But how do I do that?
Catching the key event in my filter input fields proved to be fruitless. Also, a clientListener on the table does not help.

thanks. I already have my own filter fields. And I can put a clientListener on them alright. And when the user presses ENTER I get the event in Javascript.
But that doesn't unqueue the query event, which seems to be already queued at that time.
BUT ... you were right all along. The table DOES queue a query event and I can put a clientListener, type: "query", into the table, even though JDeveloper does not offer this option. And I just assumed that it is impossible to listen for the query event because the option is not there.
But it works. When I cancel the event in Javascript, then the query is not executed. And I can open my glass pane before the query. That's what I have been looking for. Even though it seems to be somewhat undocumented. So, Frank, thanks for the help.
John, you gave me the idea to try it anyway, because you pointed to the often wrong documentation. Thanks for that.

You can remove passwords in the Password Manager:

Swipe down from the middle of the home screen - not from the top of the screen - move down a little bit and swipe down. The Spotlight Search field should appear at the top.

In Skype go to Tools -> Options -> IM settings -> Show advanced options. In the section “Pressing Enter will” select the option: Insert line break.
Note that this option is only available with Skype version newer than 6.1. The currently latest Skype version is 6.3.0.107.

You can't. Although, the Spotlight show search results has mail and webpages listed only applies to Spotlight searches using CMD+spacebar or clicking on the Spotlight icon. At least that's what engineering responded when I filed a bug against that nonsensical behavior in Lion.
After reviewing your submission engineering has determined that the behavior you reported is as expected/designed.
The spotlight preferences set in the prefpane only apply to the spotlight menu in the menubar, not in the finder.
All I can suggest is that you File an enhancement request with Apple asking them to restore the behavior to all Spotlight-based find operations. Do note that they'll most likely not do it.

Hi Ravi,
You can see the search criteria for Named Search. Suppose you search for a field in free form search and then include all these records in your Named Search. Now in order to see the search criteria and enhance it. You need to go to>Menu bar>Search>Restore Named Search>Press Named Search(Name Given By you). Now you will able to see in free form search or any other search criteria which you included in for your Named Search.

How can I show Search Form parameter values in URI of Results page?

I have searched through these pages for posts relating to caching but haven't seen any that relate to my issue.
We run a website that accesses data through search forms and returns matching data to the requester in a results page. The search criteria are entered in a form and the results page is generated by a servlet that gets the search parameter values that the user entered using the GET method.
I would like rewrite this Search page using JDeveloper to bring our old code up to date and take advantage of new features that should help performance. In particular, I want to utilise the WebCache.
To use the WebCache effectively, the cache needs to know what the search criteria were when it delivers a page so that repeated requests using the same criteria can be served directly from the cache.
The data retrieved by a query may change from one search to to the next so I can't use time-based caching. But, I can use the WebCache Invalidation interface from the back-end DB server to flush old data out of the WebCache when it is changed, but to flush out the correct pages I need to know the parameter values passed.
If I just follow the demos, it seems like the search parameters are all hidden in beans or something which means that the Web Cache can't be used for what I want. The parameter values are important.
So my question is: is there a way of showing the search parameters used in the URI to the Results page? Can the old GET method of parameter passing be used (or can I somehow just put the old style parameters onto the URI?)
Alternatively, is there a simple How To or Demo on how to use the Web Caching facility with JSF?
(ADF Caching and Java Object caching do not seem appropriate for my needs. ADF caching seems to be limited to having fragments cached for fixed periods of time and Java Object caching is orders of magnitude slower and involves the Application Server.)

This is a question about the iTunes Store. I have the correct artist, title, composer, and album name for a song popular in the 1970's. The store's Advanced Search feature can't find any of the information. How can I get Search to find the song I seek?

What can I try if the store's Advanced Search strikes out trying to find the song I want?

Perhaps the song is not available in MP3 format, or isn't available in the iTunes Store, or simply not available in your country. (A Norwegian band's first album from the 1980s became available in MP3 format only in April 2012; an example that not everything is automatically is available in MP3 as soon as possible.)
... and before any wag says, or even thinks "it", yes - the Norwegian band's album is very good! (Still waiting for their second album, from 1982, though!)
You may be surprised at how often a song or album is not available because of "contractual problems" - in other words, someone's being greedy, difficult, or both. (Another album I like, from a UK band of the 70's, was unavailable for a long time because - and I'm quoting the band's leader - "the copyright owner wanted too much money for the album to be on CD.")
You could try looking for the song in other stores. If it's not yet available anyhwere, you'll just have to be patient. You could try contacting the band via any websites they have, and asking them about it's availability. What's the song? Perhaps I (or soemoen else) might be able to confirm it's availability on MP3 from another source.

How can I force users to enter specifc format?

I'm using Livecycle Designer ES2 provided with Acrobat X Pro.
I have a form where the age field is calculated from the date of birth field. The date of birth field (DOB) is a date/time field. The age field (Age) is a numeric field.
Problem is: when user enters 01/01/01 shows age as 101. When user enters 01/01/2001 age shows 1. All patterns are set to mm/dd/yyyy. Is there a way to prohibit the user from continuing to the next field until the proper format is entered? I'm open to any ideas which will acheive the desrired outcome. I'm new to livecycle and javascript. I suspect an easy solution but I can't seem to find it when searching the forums or LD help menu.
I've attached the script for the Age field in case it helps.

However I can't get this method to work. I would like the date to display as MM-DD-YYYY regardless of what the user enters. 2 problems show up. First I get this annoying dialog box
and then second the date box doesn't even display the date in the MM-DD-YYYY format I would like. For instance if I enter 10/15/1994 the dialogue box above appears but doesn't display 10-15-1994, it just displays it as 10/15/1994. There seems to be a difference between pressing enter or return on keyboard after typing the date, versus just clicking out of the date box. I can't get a sample date in the "Sample" line like you had. Any ideas?
