How can I list subdirectories first

I'm trying to figure out a way of listing subdirectories first rather than having them alphabetized along with regular file names. I can accomplish this in Finder by sorting by Kind, but in my word processor (Neooffice) this option doesn't exist. Is there any way of affecting the sort order of applications from the OSX side?

OpenOffice (on which NeoOffice is based) lists folders first in dialogues. Of course, you will have to install X11, and you will lose the other benefits of the effort the NeoOffice team made to make the interface more Mac-like.
Then again, a "switcher" might actually prefer it - eg. it uses ctrl-key keyboard shortcuts, menus on every window, etc. On my system, it is faster than NeoOffice as well.

Furthermore if the list item have large no of value and a scroll bar along with it then the list scroll to last item when user click it with mouse. I want that when user click the list item with mouse list should show the first item as highlighted.

Poor metadata needs to be corrected if the album is to display properly in iTunes. iTunes sees an "album" as any collection of tracks with the same Album title and the same Album Artist (or Artist if Album Artist isn't set). Each track of the album should have distinct Track V of W and Disc X of Y vaules. W,X,Y are optional, but X may be needed for multi disc albums.

I saw a note, which says the following:
"WebLogic Server does not support multi-domain interaction using either the Administration Console, the weblogic.Admin utility, or WebLogic Ant tasks. This restriction does not, however, explicitly preclude a user written Java application from accessing multiple domains simultaneously."
In my case, I just want to list all the domains, is that possible by using any scripts?

If you use WLS Node Manager and the Config Wizard was used to create the domains, then the list of domains should be in a location like this:
<MIDDLEWARE_HOME>\wlserver_10.3\common\nodemanager\nodemanager.domains
Enterprise Manager Grid Control also has support for multi-domain management of WLS in a console.

You can use T-Code VF05 or VF05N to generate list of Invoices with range of selection criterias...
The concerned tables for the same are VBRK & VBRP.

There are two apps that can do that for your.
1 - the better of the two is iPhoto Library Manager. You will have to manually select those Events in Library A that are not in Library B and copy them to B. Then do the same for B to A. This also copies both the original and edited versions, keywords, titles, descriptions, faces and places.
2 - the second app is SyncPhotos. This one is automatic and will copy the original images in A that are not in B into B and the same for B to A. This does not copy edited versions or any of the metadata, i.e. keywords, etc.

You need to fix capitalization in Pages Preferences > Auto-Correction. When you select this option, you can just keep typing in lower case and the first letter of the next sentence will automatically promote to upper case.

How can I fade the first slide in a slideshow in from black?

Novice user here, but I can't seem to find an answer to this question. I've created a couple of slideshow, and have imported them to iDVD to burn the DVDs. When I play the show in iPhoto, they're fine. But when I play a finished DVD (or the demo of the DVD in iDVD), the first slide does not fade in like iPhoto did. It's a really jarring start. I fiddled with Ken Burns effects, but all that seems to do it effect how the slide ends, not how it starts.
How can I start the DVD slide show at black and fade the first slide in, just like iPhoto automatically did?
BTW ... haven't upgrade to the new iLife software yet if that helps.

if it were me, I think the simplest thing to do is take a photo with the lens cover on the camera, basically a black pic. Now use this one at the beginning of your DVD/Slide Show... or even between slides for a little more drama, if you wanted...
